Hey guys, i have a question pertaining to lineup construction. I believe it can apply to any sport, and im sure everyone will have a different answer.

Lets say im making lineups for NBA and max entry is 20 lineups. Do i make my lineups revolving around 2-3 core guys for all lineups or do i put them in like 10 and then make 10 random ones incase they bust? Ive been playing for a while and have good and bad days but i just want to know if i should be using a different strategy. I know we are all competing against each other but if anyone has any positive feedback,i would appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

It’s all up to what you’re comfortable with and it will mostly just affect your variance & bankroll management, rather than profitability. Personally, I like to go heavy on a core of players, with multiple players in 50+% of lineups, and often 1-3 guys at 100% or close to it. That creates more variance for me, and makes it more likely that I’ll cash 0 out of 20 lineups or 20 out of 20 lineups. Others may max out player exposure at 50% or even lower, which creates less pitfalls and makes it much less likely that all 20 lineups will fail to cash. It limits both the downside, and the upside on any given slate, but requires a lower bankroll relative to the buyin.

Hopefully that makes sense and helps!
