I see a new MLB promo listed on DK today. I’m not sure what they are thinking with this one. They need to make some adjustments to make the scoring more skill-based and less bankroll based. It seems to me that the few players that are able to enter every single contest will default to the top every week. I’m not sure that’s the kind of results you would want in a promo. It appears to be a 1 million FPP / week donation to Awesemo/Youdacao. Maybe I’m overlooking something in the scoring. Any thoughts?

I’m sure it’s an error to the calculator only but if you use $.25 games as a test case you will see they aren’t registering the decimal point. Essentially returning the same value $25 would.

Thank you for catching this bug, you are right that there was an error with the way the promotional web page visually represented the decimal point. The head of our ProdOps team asked us to say thank you on his behalf, we appreciate the community’s help in catching this bug, and for helping to explain the problem so simply to your fellow users.

The Chase for the Crown promotion was aimed to address the needs of the higher volume players and those who aspire to play a higher volume.

I just feel the scoring is a bit too heavily associated with volume. I could have told you who the top 5 players would be every single week before the day 1 results were ever released. If you look at the top right now there is a huge gap and it drops off fast. The few players that enter every contest are going to be up there regardless of how they perform in the contests. If one of the top volume players has a bad/subpar week, there should be opportunity for someone else to jump in and take the weekly prize. I’m sitting in 10th place right now and it’s obvious to me I have no shot. If the scoring weren’t so heavily volume based, I might increase my play or make an effort to reach the top. As it is now, the promotion only encourages competition among the top 3-4 players. And they may already be maxed out on volume of play anyway.
