When did DK start raking 12-13% in the big DU’s? Haven’t been paying attention. Seems absurdly excessive.

  • btwice80

The rake has always been 12% since they added them last year. When I saw your post, I thought they might have raised it to 13% like FD did, but I just went and checked, and no, they didn’t raise it, still 12%

fanduel GPP are all over 14% now. I am not sure what the ceiling is for it. would be a good topic..what % do you tap out at

  • mannmicj

The problem is, only the more serious players pay attention. The average Joe will enter and not even think of rake. FD and DK will continue to push it up because they can. The small percentage of people who might not like it, doesn’t matter to them and will more than balance out with increased rake. It’s a win/win for the site until there is real competition from someone else.

The 23 man double ups at DK are at 13%. I have been seeing them more and more. If you are playing them instead of the 20 man 50/50s they have for 10% rake you are just throwing money away.

The higher rake shrinks the player pool. since they are not running ads and getting new players they should reduce the rake

The higher rake is because there are less players, due to no ads, so they need to compensate

You know there are sites out there that only rake 10% on their double ups.

  • kaneb

Fantasy Feud has a lot of contests at 9.1% rake and there is often overlay.

  • tooltime

Due to the rake I think 50/50s are way less profitable than double ups. The cash lines are not that different. New players that play 50/50s will eventually run out of bankroll.
