Wow check out the columnist’s twitter……. He obviously HATES DFS for whatever reason

  • tyrant1014

I love how he is claiming rhetoric on the part of FD/DK but he is guilty of so much more rhetoric and logical fallacies than I have ever read in an article of any time. Even the devil can site scripture for his purpose.

I’m ashamed to be from the same state as people like this.

“When state attorneys general and casino owners both want you gone, the clock is ticking.”

LOL, cause their interests are so contrary to each other!!

I especially love the definition of the gambling law as it relates to chance. ” In New York, “any contest, game, gaming scheme or gaming device in which the outcome depends in a material degree upon an element of chance, notwithstanding that skill of the contestants, may also be a factor therein.”
Shut down horse racing, and shut down the lottery then.

There is a lot of tragedy in France tonight making all this look small.
But this was on espn, looks like DK is taking this very seriously—http://espn.go.com/chalk/story/_/id/14117490/draftkings-hires-powerhouse-law-firm-boies-schiller-flexner-ny-ag-fight

These politicians should worry about protecting our country from terrorist threats, violent threats and real threats not games people enjoy playing. So stupid.

Whats happening in France is a real problem NOT DFS. Keeping America safe and free should be the priorities of our elected officials NOT protecting us from our evil love of sports, games of skill etc.

If you look at his Twitter account, he thinks that the sites have a stake in the contest results. He doesn’t get that they only take a rake. He thinks that there are times that the sites don’t have to payout, and that is how they profit.

Since this all started almost all the media reports and the statements from politicians have been very uneducated and uninformed. From the “insider trading” statements on down, these people open their mouths and all that comes out is baseless statements and nonsense. Really weird how dumb a majority of the public is yet how much they want and need to be heard.

Didn’t read the article as it didn’t seem worthy of my time based on the comments here, but are you really so sure about that? There’s a reason that EVERYONE outside of DFS views this whole thing in a completely different way than those of us who play and follow the industry. They aren’t ALL ignorant and they aren’t ALL idiots.

Both sites say their employees can’t play in their contests, but both sites actually allow it. They might say it’s for quality control, testing, etc, but they don’t specify that in their respective TOS and they don’t explicitly limit it to that. Why won’t FD provide that CSV everyone has been screaming for for so long?
