Does anyone know around what day DK will release Week One contests for NFL?

I always thought it was around the beginning of August

  • thegeneral391

    I’ll guess August 8th+…

Todd Gurley is available too. He’s been productive in this offense before.

NFL announcing that if there’s a COVID outbreak, the team and their opponent don’t get their weekly paychecks.

If I’m a team and my opponent has an outbreak, how was I supposed to do anything about it?

  • AdamBski

I emailed DK today actually asking about week 1, waiting to get a reply back. I know for sure they will have a 5$ and 100$ milly maker

last year it was Aug 7th

Bet they’ll have Showdowns for pre-season NFL games. Most of the starters will sit, or play one quarter. Good luck.

Preseason NFL DFS is great. More challenging and more edge. Also really helps you know the teams/players by the time Week 1 rolls around

I have in past years but the prize pools make it not really worth the time/effort for me.

With the NFL season just under two months away, what type of research are people doing to get ready for the new season? I dabbled in NFL last year, but want to try and take it more seriously this year. Is there anything I can be doing between now and Week 1 to get myself ready for the upcoming season?

I would spend some time getting to understand the 32 offensive lines and the player movement in free agency/injuries to each line. For example the Browns last season acquired Jack Conklin the previous season and early on it had a big influence for both the Browns and Titans (former team). Overall, offensive line vs defensive line really dictates fantasy performance, helps TOP, play action game and hurts the opponents volume of plays on the other end. It matters more than a WR changing teams.

Continuity is another item I would value. Did a team rally in the second half of the season under a first year coach? Starters returning on offense….stuff like that translates well to early season performance.

i am presently looking at the rookies who might be starters. also i will probably play qb josh allen and kyle murray every week.

Read up on game theory for nfl. Now a days the industry has gotten sharper at identify players and stats. But at the same time, it creates a lot of tunnel vision and great opportunities for leverage. For example last year week 1 Rodgers and Adams were over looked. The following week, Adams was heavy chalk, under performs and instead Aaron Jones breaks the slate and created amazing leverage against the Adams chalk.

There are some very nice prices. Any initial thoughts before the main thread comes up? AJ Brown looks beautiful for cash at 7100. Over 20 points in 8/15 games and over 15 in 11/15. I don’t see Julio slowing him down at all but maybe even boosting him. And Henry ran 400+ times last year if I recall so they might really air it out to ease Henry into the season and use their new toy Julio.

    Gibson 5.9K, 150 yards and 2 TD’s stacked with Washington D kick-starting Herbert’s sophomore slump with a shutout and a pick 6.

I’m all about Washington this season and will be backing them for the Superbowl.

Marvin Jones Jr 3.6K – apparently he plays for the Jags now, seems like a nice value unless I’m missing something.

Hurts 6.4K at the QB spot.

  • TomBradyBlueMamba

Jags actually have some strong receivers Chark and Shenault, and their rookie RB is going to be a receiver as they say. Marvin is nice though but is he going to get play.

I love this time of year before the fatigue of getting smashed each week really sets in. Seems like a relatively low scoring (per game totals) Week One. Which game are we going to get a month of “sneaky high scoring game stack” press about?

Oh jeez I can’t even begin to think about this regular season. Am drafting a dynasty now, so might as well get ready for this. Gotta love week 1!

    Rookie Watch:

    QB:

    RB:

    WR:

    TE:

    Thoughts:

Obnoxious amount of value for rookie WRs. Can’t expect rookies to go out and immediately blow up, but getting an Elijah Moore or Jaylen Waddle blowup at sub-$4000 prices would be a game-changer. Not especially interested in paying a premium for Jacksonville players in Week 1.

  • 808state

it doesn’t look like Elijah Moore will be a starter. RIP to Denzel Mims too

  • Really like the jets for dfs early in the year. On both sides of it

Wilson should improve their offense so it competes and doesn’t get blown out every game. And i luv Carter in there backfield.

There secondary should remain awful on the other side.

Darnold Revenge Week 1…SIGN ME UP😁.

My only concern with the Wilson is there oline.
