Does anyone know around what day DK will release Week One contests for NFL?

I always thought it was around the beginning of August

is elijah moore a lock at 3k min on dk?

If he continues to roll through camp looking like a stud, I think he’s super cash-friendly. He offsets spending up at Adams or Kelce really nicely, especially if he looks like a guy that’ll get 70%+ of snaps

no he is not at best he is their wr3 – he is a rookie that is behind Davis, Crowder and probably behind Cole as well then there is the mims question mark as well-
Moore has looked very good in camp but he can easily dud out week one-sure he has upside but those that think he is a lock as probably the 4th wr on a team on the road with a rookie qb and a rookie coach may be in for pain week one-

The winning lineups early were QB/WR1/WR2 and flex WR with one generally being a run back then after that winning lineups mostly had RB in the flex.

Actually get rarely had a RB in the flex I think only 4 games for the year. But yeah, the first 4 weeks had QB WR1 WR2, WR from the opposing team. Basically after week 4 either the WR2 or the opposing WR were not there.

Eh, depending on the rest of the preseason, there’s a chance he’s the most efficient WR on the roster. There’s going to be a time and a place for Davis, Crowder, Cole, etc. but I can’t imagine that this version of Moore isn’t a priority target in this offense. There’s a lot that could go wrong, but at the minimum price, you’re only relying on him to catch fire on a single play or two to get 5x or more value. A lock is a strong word, but it’s shaping up to be an inside track to at least returning value

Same. Feels like each week it just made way more sense to play a WR there because the upside was much higher on one vs playing an RB. Feel like that was a little edge for most of the season if you diverted from the 3 stud RB strategy

Yeah same here. But this year we’ll have to see how injuries play out because there were a lot of heavy hitter RB out if the equation. Now this year it’s McCaffrey, Cook, Henry, maybe Kamara and then others like Zeke and Saquon and Ekeler / Gibson could bust out. As well as CEH. That guy was on pace for a very very nice year last year before missing some games. Now if he gets 5 more TD than he did last year and bumps up his production some behind that revamped O line oh boy. Maybe not a top end RB but I imagine he’ll get himself over 7500 at some point.

    Im liking Gage week one.

hes 5300 on DK. Im probably no tgoing there cash and to me, Ridley is the MUCH better GPP play. Based on my own personal sportsbook, I put the O/U on Ridley targets at 11.5, Gage maybe 6.5. Theres only a 2600 difference bewteen the two.

Sweet baby jesus… Its August 10 th-11th- Sure, Moore is a trendy Best Ball pick, sure there is buzz about how good he looks in camp, but pump the brakes on talking about Locks for cash for a game that is a month away. I am sure we will know more in the upcoming week. You realize that Crowder and Moore essentially both play the slot, right? I assume the vet (assuming healthy) will start out of the gate and the rookie will begin to take over as the season progresses.

I am so glad football is back.

as a jets fan there is buzz on moore but he can easily dud week one with zero catches-he is not going to start u can book that -he may see some plays but especially week one i see them leaning on the vets on the road with a rookie qb as well-the real question on the jets is at rb-coleman is washed but he is going to start then there are like 5 guys that might be the guy including a rookie in carter

Hmm I disagree. Im thinking he gets 8-10 targets week one.

EDIT: I dont disagree that Ridley is the much better play (he is). But I disagree that gage is only getting 6.5. I think he will get his targets.

To be fair, Moore has gotten play on the outside as well as the slot. I don’t think they lock Crowder into the slot the whole game, and even if he’s in the slot, Moore can still go outside or line up unconventionally. If he’s as advanced as reporters say, getting the ball in his hands will matter more than getting Crowder his snaps inside

With the NFL season just under two months away, what type of research are people doing to get ready for the new season? I dabbled in NFL last year, but want to try and take it more seriously this year. Is there anything I can be doing between now and Week 1 to get myself ready for the upcoming season?

To prepare, I wouldn’t go too gun-ho doing lineups this early, I’d wait until a day or two before the games start. By then the teams got rid of the dead weight on the teams, made the trades they needed to, etc. Plus, by then, we should be finding out who’s going to be in the starting lineup and I would be looking into the players you want to use.

so The $5 dk milly maker have over a 1,000,000 entries so pretty much a lotto. But from a lineup buidling strateygy, does have a math perspective on it? For Anyone who run simulations, can they give us an idea of what to expect. Thanks.

thoughts on playing AJ Green over hopkins

It seems like he’s already starting the preseason hurt, so I really don’t know that it’s an avenue I’m excited to take even at a depressed (or maybe more so corrected) price point. It’s definitely a spot where if you believe in it, you’re playing someone that isn’t going to get flagged on many projection systems. Rather not go that way personally

I went through last year’s winning lineups and I think just 1 week had a solo QB, possibly 2. But, I have not looked for a source on optimal lineups so maybe their were more optimal lineups that would’ve won with a stand alone QB.

It’s a lot more common in optimal lineups. According to LineStarApp…

These were the weeks where the optimal had a solo QB. It was the same on DK and FD unless noted otherwise.

    17 – Cam
    15 – Hurts
14 – Tua (Rodgers on FD)
    11 – Watson
9 – Murray (Allen on FD)
    7 – Herbert
2 – Dak (None on FD)
    1 – Russ

These were optimal but not winning right?

I doubt anyone is gonna get the optimal as their winning lineup.

    Correct and I agree.

I say pick between 3-8 QBs, stack them in a variety of combos, and throw in a few run backs from the other team.
