    Good Afternoon,

I noticed early last week that paypal had been removed as an option to deposit funds into my DK account. I could click on paypal payment, it would redirect me to paypal, but the pay by smart connect was made unavailable. I spoke with Paypal just a moment ago and Paypal confirmed that they were not processing payments to DraftKings going at this time.

Anyone else having this issue? I want to see if it is more geographical considering the current legal state of DFS.

I can deposit with Paypal in Colorado, but I noticed that Paypal Credit is no longer an option on either DK or FD.

  • Nosuckoutplz

Fuck, if true (across the board/for everyone) this is not good.

EDIT:* Good news guys, I was successfully able to deposit ($20) via PayPal through the DK iOS app. I live in Southern California. No issue here! πŸ˜…

You can still deposit via Paypal linked to your bank account or credit card, but Paypal credit is no longer an option for depositing.

^^ not sure what “credit” is, if PP has its own line of credit now (?) – but I had multiple options, either using my PayPal balance, bank, or visa. I chose a combo of PayPal funds and bank.

PayPal still good PayPal credit no longer a option.

    Hello NoSuckOut,

Indeed, where I live, I can not play FD anymore due to legal challenges, DK is available. With that said, my debit card, nor my credit cards can be used in my state to deposit funds into DK. Everyone is correct that the credit arm of PP is not available. Sorry I should have been a bit more clear, but I appreciate knowing that I can possibly do a direct deposit from PP and avoid PPSC all together. I will give that a shot.

I very much appreciate all the great input.

I bet it doesn’t. We are talking about PayPal Credit. That option is blacked out now.

I did not read all the replies before I posted, just saw paypal.

Never heard of paypal credit, but makes sense that they would not want people using their credit to gamble….

Quick update. Oddly enough. DK Zen Desk (customer service) was completely unaware that PP Smart Connect had been disabled. They told me they were going to look into it.

The PP Smart Connect was just the easiest option to use based on my experience.

You would have to have a Paypal credit line to see that option when you deposit. I have a Paypal credit line because I occasionally make large purchased on Stubhub or Ebay. It is really nice because you have 6 months no interest on all purchases over $199. While I have never done this, I have had the option to deposit with Paypal credit. They probably finally got wise to this that people could theoretically charge up their credit line interest free for 6 months.

Somehow I don’t think you talked to anyone at DraftKings. If you had, they would have explained very clearly that only the Paypal Credit option is gone and that is a Paypal decision. You can still deposit or withdraw money using Paypal assuming you have money in your account or on DK.

    Hello SoChoice,

I have 6 emails or so from the DK zen desk on the issue. Paypal was the one that alerted me to PPSC not being available. DK has suggested I call them because it looked like an initial issue with PP. DK customer servie was unaware that PPSC had been removed as an option at least at the time of emailing them.

It is rather obvious they did not know since I provided a screen shot of PPSC faded out as a payment option and they asked that I call PP to see why it was happening.

Anyone have any info on not being allowed to fund dfs sites anymore? I couldn’t make a transfer the other day using the feature, which I had been doing for years. All of a sudden it’s not an option.

  • dw12290

I’m in FL and the option is no longer available for me. I can go through PayPal but they redirect to my bank account on file. Kind of sucks because PPSC allowed me to keep my DFS separate from everything else.

When I use PayPal to make a deposit on DK, my PayPal credit card doesn’t come up as one of the options to pay with after logging into PayPal, either. However, the PayPal credit card does allow me to deposit funds to my DK account. Just have to enter my PayPal credit card number and select deposit with credit card.
