Ya know it really sucks after winning several tickets in last night’s MLB tourney for tickets to PGA millionaire game only to wake up this AM and see the tourney filled.

but that’s ok DK offered up a “consolation” tourney for whopping total of 25k. oh sooo excited about to shit myself.

Their ticket system is nothing but ripoff in my opinion. A person’s entry should be automatic and seats reserved for winning ticket holders.

I think last day play on DK for quite sometime. Very disappointing!

  • pootnami

Dude. You stay up until the games are over. I bet you would complain if the tickets were automatically reserved too. “ I slept in late and it locked”, now you have no ticket.

I agree with this part here. They know as soon as contests begin at 7PM the night before how many tickets they will need for the contest taking place the next day and should not allow others to take these people’s spots.

not that you want an actual solution but…pretty sure their terms and conditions allow you to use that ticket for any $20 contest since the $20 contest it was designed for filled. its not just good for the 25K contest

wow, way to miss the point! Why should someone have to stay up to get what they won?

The problem is that FD does it about 3-8 hours before a 7 pm lock the next day. Should be done immediately once contests are paid the night before/early AM. Most of us work from 9-5 and to not have these added until noon or 3 pm is a joke.

I see it from both sides. We know DraftKings will make good with either cash or NFL Milly Maker tickets if you would prefer that. Best solution would probably be for them not to offer satellite tickets the night prior to games. Even if they did “reserve” those seats undoubtedly some people won’t wake up early enough to enter teams and bitch to support about not having enough time to enter.

well yeah thats true too….but the point was (as dan stated) that if they auto added everyone people would be bitching about that also

I’d rather them put the responsibility on the person entering the Satty than not come through with the prize someone should have known they entered (I.e., early lock the next morning). If they can’t wake up to enter before lock, or cry they didn’t know PGA started Thursday morning, that’s on them, not the site.

ehh i think i like this way better (and i won a ticket last night that i was hoping to use)…this way the player if guaranteed to get the value of the ticket. if the contest fills they still get the $20 value to use on another contest. I think either way is fine, but i think doing it this was is more player friendly because it makes sure the player gets the value of the ticket

It’s all about user experience….have to think many more people will be pissed @ getting ZERO value from a ticket they won (even if it is there own fault) as opposed to those who get it converted to cash/other tickets.

If I were DK….moving forward I would run broad “$20 satellite tickets” the night before….even if they mention in the game description it is the last chance before Milly Maker.

Just for some quality control purposes, when was the last time you had a ticket credited at noon or 3 PM on FanDuel?

  • y2mulder

Pretty sure I saw this before when an NFL milly maker ran last year, and there were sattys everywhere the night before when the contest was almost full at NBA/NHL lock.

I cant feel sorry for people here. If the contest is open for a month, and you wait until the buzzer to get your entries, you need to accept this could happen.

Other than freerolls, haven’t played FD since May.

Agree, but if it was about user experience then DK should allow all tickets to be exchanged for other contests. Instead, you go from trying to win $1M to $25k. Give them a choice.

95% sure they do. if the original contest fills you can use the ticket for any $20 contest

Why wait until the contest fills? Just give tickets for any contest.

because they want to try the best to fill these huge contests. so if you win a ticket to a specific contest you have to use it for that contest…..unless its filled. if its a general $20 ticket it doesnt do as much good in helping fill the giant contest

This. Einars continues to post logic and common sense. Call it a millionaire maker ticket, and if it isn’t used, convert it to a regular ticket.

  • miwebmedia

wooooo I didn’t expect that big response.

As for “sleeping in” and missing games cause forgot to get up. I’ve done that or just simply forgot the game time and lost money. As matter fact did it last week in PGA tourney and never complained it’s my fault.

My prob is why give tickets away for specific event if not going reserve a spot for the ticket winners for that event? WHY the F would I (or anyone else for that matter) even bother playing in that tourney if not for chance at getting a cheaper shot at the millionaire match today.

In some ways that HUGE false/misleading advertising but I’m sure they CYA in their TOS on the site. I think just not going to play DK too much anymore.

Oh and I just won these tickets last night and the LAA/CWS game went something like 13 innings. Some of us have responsibilities to wake up to each morning so staying up till wee hours of AM isn’t a solution for me.

im sure you understand how the whole satellite system works and how important it is to fill specific large contests so u must be trolling here, right?

So it’s ok for sites to not reserve a spot to award the prize that wAs guaranteed? This seems to happen too often for satties the night before. The sites want it both ways… Sell seats in satties to ensure the tourney films, but not reserved a seat someone was guaranteed. What a user experience!
