I get a lot of calls, text etc from places wanting to give me point spread tips and i do not gamble on any sites that are not dfs…which is skill anyway

  • deaddogseye

Same here. Never occurred to me DFS could be the reason

I have personally never had a single text or call from any gambling sites but when I brought it up with a few others, they have. I only play on Fanduel and Draftkings so I would have to say it isn’t them. Maybe a smaller site that went under?

This has been my experience as well, unwanted robocalls from “Credit Card Services” oh yeah, however I do not think that is DFS related but me having had the same mobile number for 15 years.

Now on the other hand, some of the “lesser” sites (DFS or all the many other companies we all frequent) very well could be selling out subscriber lists… much like grocery stores and other “club card” offers have done for seemingly forever.

I may be wrong, but I think it is possible that it could be DRAFT. I had only used FD/DK up until earlier this NFL season and I’m pretty sure I only started getting some email/texts over the past couple months which would be around when I started using DRAFT. There may also be some article / stats site that I’m not thinking of that I signed up for in that time that could be the culprit, but the correlation is there.

I do really like the DRAFT product, but it would be annoying if this was an unintended side effect of using it

The SPAM phone calls in general have been on the increase lately for me. There have been a ton of leaks when it comes to personal information from all sorts of industries over the past year, so there really is no telling who has your data. DRAFT does always seem to be on the up and up, so I highly doubt they are doing anything nefarious with your info. Anyways, here is an excerpt from the Privacy Policy copied over from the DRAFT website.

  • TheRyanFlaherty

I got a random unsolicited text within the last week.
Not even sure what site/service it was for. Saw some nonsense about NFL picks and bets and just deleted it.

    I don’t play on Draft.
