For those of you who like to play to head-to-heads and have also earned the “highest” experience badges on FD/DK (1000+ contests, $2.5k earnings across 6+ contests), how big of a difference did it make in the quality of your opponent?

Right now, I personally do not have the highest experience badge on either site. If I post games, anyone who is worth their salt will attempt to scoop them immediately. Even if I use the match-up limiter on DK, I’m still going to be an immediate target for any sharp players who are hand-selecting their games. Each one will only get one of my games, but they’re are enough of them to fill up most of the contests. Not complaining whatsoever as I would do the exact same thing. So, yeah, simple question, how big of a difference does it make in the quality of your opponent once you have those badges? Do your games still get scooped? Do you get a higher percentage of less experienced players? Do more experienced players tend to start avoiding your games entirely?

    Thanks for any feedback.

I have the experience badge and my games still frequently get scooped. Everyone knows I’m a fish though so I get it!

There weren’t experience badges when I started out so I can’t speak to the difference in who takes my games, but most of my games that are taken now are by less experienced, or at least lesser known, players and I assume that wouldn’t be the case otherwise. The whole badge system definitely has the opposite effect that was intended. I would recommend just hand selecting your games or at least a percentage of them until you have the full one

I think if you don’t have an experience badge you’re more likely to get scooped if you post h2h’s but having one doesn’t keep my contests from getting picked up.

Is it fair to say that it isn’t really a game-changer for EV then?
