MASTERLKNOWS is getting on my last nerve sending invites every 3 seconds is there a way to block this anyone know? He’s on the level of that Facebook friend who sends you a Farmville request every 3 minutes.

You would go to my account then preferences and from there insert the name you wish to eliminate head to head requests

Does this not work on the app?

As far as I can tell you have to go to the desktop site.
It’s annoying as hell that strangers can spam you and there isn’t an easy way to stop it immediately. It’s especially not easy considering I went to the site and blocked a user from sending notifications and they stopped for a week or so, but somehow they are back now.
I actually sent a complaint to the app CS earlier about it, see what they have to say.

Please visit https://www.draftkings.com/account/preferences. Scroll down to the section that says “Limit Notifications From Users”. Click in the field, type in the username you wish to block and then click Add. When you add a user to this list, you will stop receiving notifications from that user. At the top of this page you also have the ability to alter your general email notification preferences.

This step must be performed via our website, the preference is not available in the DraftKings mobile app.

It’s especially not easy considering I went to the site and blocked a user from sending notifications and they stopped for a week or so, but somehow they are back now.

Please see the instructions above, once a user is added to this list you will no longer be notified of any H2H requests. If you wish to also block league notifications, then select the email notification preferences link at the top of the page.

We are aware that some people do not wish to play H2H matches. At the same time there are other players which love to be challenged by their peers. Our preference system solves the needs of both player types, yet we acknowledge there is room for improvement.

Wouldn’t it make sense that by default no one can send you invitations, and you have to opt in to get invited? I agree that it is annoying, and the circle of people trying to invite me, seem to be ever expanding.

I’d imagine the MAJORITY (like 95%+) do not like being spammed all day every day by a bunch of random people challenging them to some contest they have no interest in playing

Forgive me if there already is one but there needs to be a personal setting where we can stop all invites. I’d much rather the reverse scenario where you can add a username to a list that can invite you rather than having to individually block the annoying ones person by person. Kind of like a firewall program where you can list exceptions if you actually want a particular username to invite you.

With the current system we have now, where you have to manually block people individually, as soon as you block one username about a day later another one comes out the woodwork.

I found a workaround, which was to turn off alerts on the app on my phone and set filters in my email account so all invitations for leagues – which exploded in popularity when MLB started this year (I get 20-30 per day) – go directly into the trash. The only downside is when the 2-3 actual friends who I would play against challenge me to an H2H, they have to text me to tell me the invite is waiting for me in the lobby.

We agree, nobody likes to be spammed. If we catch users abusing the system, our customer support team is empowered to take remedial action.

Our solution is very flexible, you can choose to any of the following three choices within your DraftKings account preferences.

    1) Block notifications from a specific user
    2) Block H2H matching with a specific user
    3) Disable all notifications regardless of who is sending the request.

You have the ability to disable all email notifications from players in your DraftKings account preferences. Please note that for security reasons, certain transactional emails cannot be disabled.

To accomplish this please log into your account in a web browser, then visit https://www.draftkings.com/account/preferences. Click the link at the top of the page to update your email settings.
