Just a random thought… does fantasy DFS exist? As in, you draft DFS players to make up your team, rather than pro athletes. For example, maybe SaahilSud is the #1 pick and so on… Could be fun and with the awesome RG rankings it would be easy to see who’s in the lead. Might be best in a draft-only format.

They did it for the DK baseball final this year. I let a lot of people down because they didn’t know I am strip club prone.

  • KindGuy

Lol, I’ve thought about this too but there are just too many complications that could arise.

  • Markley

then in a couple years we could draft people who draft DFS players

If I play DFDFS am I still allowed to play actual DFS when I’m also one of the athletes in DFDFS?

  • Pitch120

How would that work? You pick someones 120th lineup?

    A Calcutta ??

This idea might be too crazy. Maybe a mock draft to mess around, but I would not do it for cash as I have no idea where it might fall under the DFS community guidelines.

I like the idea, but I would prefer to see a slightly different implementation. At the live finals they should have a scrimmage of whatever sport it’s for where each of the finalists play. The total number of minutes could be broken into equal chunks for each entry a player has. Then you would have to pick a fantasy team for their stats in the game. It would be pretty amusing and also fulfill the dream that all of us have of being pickable in a fantasy roster.

I told a guy on here that he was playing “Fantasy” “Fantasy Basketball” and needed to seek immediate help, as he was on a thread one night posting constantly about how Turner was part of “His Core”’ but that he’d taken the night off. Well I had Myles Turner too and hadn’t yet checked so I asked why he didn’t end up playing… Somebody immediately chimes in ‘He’s killing it Dude!~ He’s got 44 Pts in 1st-Half” … This was of course good news from Dfs perspective for me, but I couldn’t shake the image of this delusional fool talking about ‘His Core’, bragging about it really and apparently after the fact and he didn’t play Dfs that night. That to me was ‘Fantasy’ “Fantasy Basketball” He was saying “He didn’t play that night. HE being Delusional RG guy.. “ I’d play basketball but not an athlete, so I’ll watch basketball, but I also like the occasional wager so I’ll play Dfs, but I like to chat and boast so I’ll join Rotogrinders and then ‘My Guys’ when they’ve already gone off I’ll brag about them being my picks but I won’t actually put any money in or join any contests. I was a bit conflicted regarding whether to try to haze or to help the poor sap, but ultimately went with silence when nobody got the initial joke..

    Wait, what sport?

I’m the defending “random basketball skills challenge” runner-up from San Diego, bruh. I’m at least 5k, but I’ll admit my floor is definitely close to 0.

    Love this idea.

Early in the PocketFives days (late 2005) Paradise Poker ran a (i think) $10k freeroll for our top 75 ranked players. All of them were available to bet to win in the Paradise sports book. The guys in the top 10 had short odds and the guys in the bottom 20 had pretty long odds, but they were all basically even to win this one tournament. My memory is failing me a bit on this, but I believe the guy that won the freeroll was ranked in the 70 range and put $1000 on himself at like 30-1.

Those days are long gone but with all the fantasy platforms around today it seems pretty plausible to pull something like this off as a fun community game. I’ve played in a fantasy wsop poker league before.
