Dude’s been on a milk carton it seems for the most part in the DFS world recently.

He is going to lose his player of the year status if he keeps this trend up, if he even cares about that anymore.

Is he working on some more longer term projects such as building a new algorithmic analytical data model?

Is he building his own daily fantasy sports website?

Has MaximusDalury found a new industry to begin dismantling?

Also, since we are on this topic, can someone tell me how RotoQL is an improvement over anything on Rotogrinders? I feel like the free stuff on Rotogrinders is already very good. I’m not a premium member, but the free content itself has been incredibly helpful. Granted I’ve never used RotoQL and just scrolled over the website, but for anyone that has used it, what are some pros and cons?

I used RotoQL for NBA and found projections to be horrible. Keep in mind that I used 5-6 different sites as a supplement to my research. Those projections were literally detrimental to my spreadsheet to the point I had to remove it altogether.

Pretty sure Dalury is licensing his name for the site (CPO title) but doesn’t actually use it for his own DFS research.

BTW, most of the features of RotoQL are available from back end sites (for example, his player projection pool appears to just be an API).

Overall, don’t see how they raised $1.2mm since it really doesn’t equal DFS results.

Hmm it looks like he didn’t play PGA at all this week? Could account for why there was unfilled entries in many contests…anyone know what happened? To be fair, I didn’t play either, so it could be he’s just taking a break/vacation, but I think it’s more likely he’s shutting down?

    Nope not true.

He didn’t play the Thunderdome or Club Pro (probably didn’t have enough money for it anymore) but did play a few (did not max enter though) in the 33 dollar MM. You can check his profile. He cashed like 5 of them only, and that’s like all he cashed in PGA (5 MM 33 dollar entries and 1 8 dollar entry).

He played 4 entries in the 55 dollar MLB tourney yesterday. That’s all. None in the 555 or high stakes tourney. DK must be pretty mad since they are losing tons of rake.

Youdacao is about to pass him for the top spot in 2 weeks. And then he’s probably gonna drop out of the top 10 once NFL starts.

Oh my bad I just assumed he didn’t because I didn’t see it in the Live Contests. I guess you can’t really search for people in Live Contests unless they are in the top 500 or something.

Have to agree with the reviews on RotoQL, which I’ve used in the past. I want to believe in the product but they are lagging far behind FL. Optimizer is barebones. It’s a shame because there are many ways to be innovative with optimizers but they’re not taking any chances.

I can’t imagine Saahil actually uses this product.

  • NoLimits0

It’s clear what his downfall is. He got too greedy and signed on to sponsor Rotoql a product he might not even believe in to try to make extra money off of people for touting. Don’t get too greedy folks if you win. Karma is real.

Now he’s only able to play in the 4/8/33 dollar contest and enter 20 lineups a night like the rest of us.

It really is amazing how awful it is.

No chance in hell Saahil ever used that… and if he started, it might explain why he’s gone ghost.

I still think the correlation between 150 entry max/20 entry max and lack of saahil up top .vs. when we had 500 entry max and he dominated is pretty obvious.

Listening to podcasts he was on and he really doesn’t seem that knowledgeable when it comes to sports.

He stacked Coors in the 700 dollar tournament yesterday and cashed like 1 out of his 20 entries. So pretty much yea losing every day. Even when you stack Coors yesterday you lose.

It’s amazing how many pros don’t know much about the sport. I was blown away at the fanduel WFFC in 2015 when I talked to some of the finalists about different players and they didn’t know crap about them. Even the guy that took down the top prize, he knew some stuff, but it was just luck that he won it all with his lineup. I don’t think Todd Gurley has had a decent game since that day. Most of these guys are just too dependent on models and generators. It’s all good, whatever works.

I think this is what separates the pros from the average joe in DFS…Favoritsm and ability to not rely on recency bias is a tough talent to master in DFS if you are a real fan of most sports. Data is the only thing that matters, and a bit of luck.

He’s 54th.. but I agree, he’s a beast. Seems like a really nice dude, too.

To be completely honest, the best DFS player (in my mind) is Awesemo. Dude just absolutely crushes. It seems like every time I throw a lineup into a $300+ entry he wins it.
