Just a quick public service announcement here. You could be the next Maxdalury! As many of you know, Max recently gained notoriety for entering the $1M Payoff Pitch with 888 entries. He did this in a field of 35,469 with an investment of $23,976. With his investment, he easily won the top prize of $100,000, as he should have with that many entries. That’s how DFS works right? More entries equal a better chance to win. Ok, here’s the problem, I don’t have $23K and neither do you. That would exclude us from turning that 23K into 100K. We could win a proportional amount though.

Tonight there is a $5,000 quarter arcade and the winner takes all. That’s 20,000 quarters right there for the taking! So here is what you can do. Go enter the quarter arcade 888 times. It will cost you $222. You will have a chance to turn that $222 into $5000 which is just over 22X your original investment.

When Max dominated the $27 Payoff Pitch he only returned 5-10X his investment. You could more than double Max’s ROI and prove once and for all that 888 entries should pretty much guarantee you a win. To sweeten the pot, you are actually getting better odds than Max did. He had 888/35,469 entries. You can have 888/23,500. That’s almost 13,000 additional entries you don’t have to compete against!

Alright, guys I gotta get out of here. I’m not expecting any replies before lock as you have 888 entries to build, but be sure to check in later and let us know how it goes. Good luck!

I’m going with 33, fingers crossed. Gotta make up for the last few days for sure.

Where do I download Max’s scripting software? Or where can I hire and train a digital personal assistant in 90 minutes?

People who say what Max does requires no skill are wrong. However, the amount of time a recreational player needs to put in to be compeitive is getting too large. No one wants to talk about this side of the argument as its practically indisputable.

Problem. I see FCK beat me to the punch

Is impossible to enter 888 times manually.

I did however put in about 30 entries in the past hour and may put a lot more if I would just throw them out there without thinking.

EDIT: the guy that entered about 1000 times the NFL MM had a week to do it. That is possible manually (although exhausting I am sure)

I am not quite sure why the sites dont have a lineup upload feature so anyone could easily mass enter contests. What would be the drawback of this for the sites?

I agree with you 100% that the casual player is at a disadvantage. The casual stock trader (Do those exist?) is also at a disadvantage compared to those using Algorithmic Trading. Does that mean only brokers should trade in stocks? Can’t the casual guy get involved just as a hobby? If he does, he won’t have anywhere near the same chance as a hedge fund to make a million. He might be able to make some smart trades and turn a nice profit though. I think the same is true in DFS. You don’t have to play with the big boys. There are all kinds of leagues and small GPPs that just allow one entry. You of course won’t make a killing at them though.

I’m pretty sure it’s against the site’s TOS to use scripting software to enter lineups.

I’ve asked this many times it’d be nice if a rep or an RG guy could confirm.

While this may very well be true, and I honestly am not putting a tin foil hat on, do you really think if you have just a few guys doing it that bring in SO MUCH rake for a site they are going to look the other way or make a big fuss and eliminate a large portion of a contest that prevents overlay? It’s a double win for the sites, rake and overlay prevention.

i make plenty of money have a full time job over 60 hours and only enter 3-4 lineups a day. all of you guys saying your 1-2 lineups dont win because someone has 888, you are wrong. instead of entering a crap lineup every day with little research pick 1 day a week from now and spend 7 days researching. I bet you have a better lineup.

Tongue firmly in cheek…. I wouldn’t bring Wall Street as an example of what’s right or wrong :)

For me. Obviously it is a choice to swim in dangerous waters to hit it big… however I think DFS is at a point in which the sites should start asking themselves some ethical questions and in which direction they want to grow.

I think DK experiment with contests with a 200 LU limit is being successful and hopefully can take hold.

Writing this post just saved me a $1 in quarter arcade entries that may be duplicates! LOL!!

I don’t think getting Maxdalury’s rake is worth risking the entire business being shut down because it was discovered they were allowing specific players an unfair advantage over the field.

This is a tech business now, at a $1B valuation and growing, even the income from a guy like Max means almost nothing in the long run.

Serious question about Max. I am not opposed to what he does. I noticed he already has 500 (the max) entries for the PGA Millionaire Maker, which is fine. I wouldn’t complain if he had more. I just found it weird that he’s got 10 entries for a PGA Milly maker mega satellite starting in a little more than an hour. What’s the strategy here? Is he keeping the tickets from others? Can he convert them all and he finds this a smart way to get 20$ tickets? I was just curious if someone had an angle on that.

If he won 250 tickets and bought 250 he can always unregister 10 that he paid for if he wins 10 tonight. That would save him the difference between full price and the satellite entry times 10.

I so wanted to enter a billion entries into this tournament but the fear of finishing 2nd has kept me away. Good luck to those with more courage than me!

Bingo. Didn’t think about that. Thank you!

Other posters also noticed weird entries and brought up the robo-entry issue.

I think they noticed entries for contests awarding trips in different part of the countries on same weekend (or something like that)

I’m still debating entering for this exact reason. I don’t think I will be able to handle the tilt if I finish second.

    That’s ok…. I am still tilting from yesterday Harvey-Hahn SP combo….

Actually this is good therapy as I can throw a bunch of lineups out there for just a few quarters!

I think he would need to unregister ALL the ones he paid for with tickets before he can replace the ones paid with cash with tickets.

At least that was my experience on the MM when I won tickets the night before and I had already entered with cash and tickets.
I unregistered one and was crediting me the ticket, not the $$s

Just make sure you put every quarter arcade entry into at least one traditional GPP as well – any LU that finishes 2nd in that quarter arcade will certainly do well in a GPP also – maybe not $10K nice but it will soften the blow a bit.

Yeah I don’t see investing in the stock market as a hobby. But I get your point. I play willingly at a disadvantage against people who do this full time.

Can’t hurt to lobby to try and keep the game within reach of the recreational player.

I didn’t know the recreational day traders were competing head 2 head against the big brokers. Maybe I missed something.

When I hit my first six figure pot I won’t be greedy and enter contests like this one.

Meh. These issues are quickly forgotten when it’s realized that a rake generator might be blatantly breaking the tos, or at the very least knowingly “bending” rules as far as they can be bent.
