Just curious what people would consider a good return on getting teams to the next round in terms of a percentage. I drafted 60 mini best ball teams and am advancing 8 of them to the next round, which is good for 13%.

For people that have been doing these is 10% a good threshold to be above? I just am not really sure what to consider a good or bad amount. Also curious to see what other people’s percentage of teams moving on is. Good luck to all moving on.

8.5 percent would be average. That being said, your goal is to win the whole thing – not just advance. So, I like to look at the quality of my advancing rosters. I dont take much credit for an advancing team that is dead in the water.

Very true. Got the red rifle back in a few of them so all bets are off now

2/6 I guess that means 33%. I did not know what to expect but it was pretty fun and a cool format. I guess this also guarantees me my money back.

  • Jeezylives

This has been a fun format. I’m hands down advancing 2 out of 30 in the big best ball. With another 6 teams in the hunt to win the 12 man league. Just hoping for a good sweat come week 13, 14, 15 etc…

I’m more excited about my teams without McCaffrey and Lamar. Everyone in the playoffs is gonna have them.

  • BMiller813

I won 4/8 but also never had a pick earlier than 7th. What were some of your draft positions? I am wondering if more teams won from drafting later.

I have got 9/45. Interested to see if any of my 2nd place teams advance with the overlay in the $25 tourney.

  • tvegas40

5/15 for me. My teams going through I picked 4th-5th-5th-6th and probably my best team ( one with the least amount of injuries too) 12th pick.

So it looks like 1526 is my highest scoring team that didnt win its league.

Took a look and youre right, 161244/165888 – Meaning 387 2nd place teams will make it through (roughly the top 2.8%).

  • jleit13

I won 8 of my 48 leagues between the mini best ball and the big best ball championship. Lost out on getting 4 more thru in week 12. My highest score to not advance in the big best ball was 1582. Pigskinablanket, I believe u did 150 in the big tourney, can u tell me what the highest score you’ve seen win one of your leagues? I have a team in the big one with 1760 points. I’ve looked thru all 48 of my leagues and that’s the highest ive seen. Not that it matters too much anymore but just curious.

1517 was my highest 2nd place team

Love this take! I didn’t even consider that. I advanced 2/7 from the big boy and I don’t have either CMC or Lamar. I was all bummed out but this is a great counterperspective. Thanks for the hope. haha.

    I got 10 of 57 through in the $25

Drafted 11 teams with Lamar and only got 2 thru, so I did a pretty bad job in my Lamar drafts I guess.

Highest scoring team I have is 1789

Highest 2nd place team is 1549

Good luck everyone, should be a fun few weeks

  • Ross21

I only played in one best ball league this year and my team won, scoring 1457 FPTS. That has to be significantly below average for winning teams right? It makes sense considering my first-round draft pick was Joe Mixon (welp) and I missed out of the core of high tier WR’s.

So that leads to my question for the forum: Among your teams that won, what was your lowest-scoring team?

If anyone wants to discuss strategy, the majority of my teams that got through had team stacks and often multi team stacks going on.

And it wasn’t just the same stack. I have team stacks of Packers, Ravens, Cardinals, Browns, Chargers, Atlanta, TB and Jax. Lots of full teams stacks and with other mini team stacks spread within the same draft.

I also drafted a lot of Kyler Murray after seeing CSUram draft him early in a team stack lol. I drafted almost 0 David Johnson, Melvin, Luck, and Pittsburgh players. Near the end of drafts I got a lot of Oak QB/TE stacks, and DJ chark, and I got Mark Andrews kind of late before he got very popular.

  • jleit13

Yeah I think stacking is the way to go. I think QB with at least 2 pass catchers is the way to go. Just single stacking is hard bc it’s foolish to think every time the QB has a good game the same wide out goes off every time. I best call was being high on Dak and having Gallup my most owned wr. This being my first year doing best balls and doing nearly 50 of them I think the optimal route is to wait and draft qbs and te’s later on. Just loading up on solid RBs and high upside wrs and then stacking them with their QB is the way to go. Hoping to get at least 1 of my teams to next week but if not I’m excited for next year. Good luck all

Wow. 1760 is massive. in my 150 in the $25, the largest I had was 1615 with the largest score by any team in those leagues was 1703. I would say anything 1600+ is a big score. 1760 is very impressie

Thanks for looking. Like I said it doesn’t really matter how many points I scored the first 12 weeks. Obviously this was best team by far but I don’t have too high of hopes for it moving forward. I do have CMC but after that it’s really only Aaron jones who is super inconsistent and Kenyan drake which I’m not sure what his role will be after the bye week. But my biggest issue is kyler Murray is my only QB bc my qb2 is big Ben so that’s not good lol. Question for ya pigs, what was your lineup construction in most of your lineups? 2 qbs and 2 tes? That’s what I did in most of mine.

Sort of, I typically spend 5 picks across QB and TE (So 2 at one position and 3 at the other – typically at the one I took latest). BEtting on health and then loading up on going strong early in RB or WR then covering the other in volume with lots of picks lol.

Interestingly, none of my Lamar teams made it and only 2 of my CMC teams. Mayb I will have some differentiation for the next couple of weeks. Good luck to you over the coming weeks.

Anyone know what the score needed for advancement of wildcard 2nd place teams? My fav team finished in 2nd with 1564.2

  • zpruitt3

I got 0 out of 17 to the next round. I think its because i didnt get tyreek hill in the 12th round back in march. Thats the only explanation right?

  • Skillure

Can you all see your matchups and teams that advanced? All of my best balls just disappeared, including the ones that were advancing.
