Hey guys, Nate from DRAFT here. I’m proud to announce that we launched MLB Best Balls late last week.

    Here are some details:

    - You draft an 18-player roster

    - Each week your top 3 P, 3 IF, and 3 OF automatically start and count toward your season total

    - Scoring starts on MLB Opening Day: March 28th, 2019

    - Contests run 20 weeks, ending on August 25, 2019

    - Full rules can be found here: https://draft.com/rules/mlb/best-ball/

When we launched MLB Best Balls, we also put up our first-ever MLB Best Ball Championship. Here’s what you need to know:

    - $100,000 in total prizes

    - $20,000 to first place

    - $25 entry fee

    - 12-person contests

    - 138 max entries

    - Full details can be found here: https://draft.com/events/mlb-best-ball-championship/

We’re pretty excited about MLB Best Balls, and we hope you guys are too! Feel free to ask any questions you might have.

Really enjoy the DRAFT best ball format. Wish the slow drafters would be more responsive. Any chance of a draft chat room in the future?

Probably not going to be a chat room, but we did recently add emoji reactions to picks! Hold down on any player drafted on the top bar and you will be able to react with an emoji. Kind of a hidden feature, as we never really made a formal announcement, but it can make the draft room a little bit more interactive.

Loving these MLB Best Balls so far. Slow drafters make it less enjoyable than it could be but it’s still a fun format. Maybe a notification every hour after the 2 hour mark or something like that would help.

It’s a slow draft for a reason. Not everyone is glued to their phone every day all day. It gives the ability to have a day where you are too busy and it doesn’t mess up the whole draft. Why are you joining a queue where it allows people to take 8 hours and then complaining. A chat room would just be miserable because it would be 90% messages of people complaining.

Just do a fast draft if you want to go quick. Plenty of options.

I agree that the best part of doing a slow draft is you have 8 hours to make your pick. So if you see it is your pick and your busy doing something else you can wait 6-7 hours until later in the evening to sit down and think out your pick before you make it instead of being forced to make a rash decision. In order to stop having to wait for days and days to make each pick I solved that issue just by having 4-6 slow drafts going on once so I usually had to make at least 1 pick everyday for one of the drafts.

one suggestion for next season would be to award fantasy points for holds and saves so that the RPs carry more draft value. There just isn’t much point in drafting any (maybe Hader) as currently constructed. Love the product though, plan to fire all the way up until the season starts.

I would suggest giving us a few more spots or just merging IN/OF into hitters

One or god forbid two injuries at any position and you are done in the current format

Thanks for the feedback, Brit. Totally get your point. We will surely monitor how things go this season and use that to make sure next years MLB Best Ball is the best it can be.
