    We Have Improved DraftKings Achievements!

    Now Live: https://www.draftkings.com/achievements

We heard the echoing cheers for the DraftKings Achievements that started earlier this year – so took the most logical next step: we made a good thing even better.

Achievements will soon have a permanent home in both the DraftKings app and website, making it easy for you to see everything the program has to offer. Don’t worry – we got you covered. You don’t need to do anything differently to complete Achievements, and we will remind you to claim your rewards before they expire.

Our new Achievement improvements will also simplify the navigation through Achievements by each sport. It is easier than ever track your milestone progress, monitor what you have earned, and claim the rewards you earned at your leisure. Rewards will be claimable within 24 hours after completing a milestone. You can claim these rewards anytime until 30 days after the Achievement program for the sport in which they were earned concludes. Claimable rewards also provide players with the flexibility to claim their prizes when they want to, rather than having them automatically distributed the day after completing a milestone. But don’t worry, the reward amounts for each milestone will not change.

This is yet another step in our multi-stage rollout of Rewards and Achievements that we started earlier this year. The development of this new Achievements platform will empower DraftKings to provide more fun Achievements that have been requested by many of you across a wider range of sports, and ultimately more rewards. We are proud to provide the best rewards program in Daily Fantasy, and it keeps getting better!

I haven’t seen my achievements update in a couple of days… anyone else having this problem?

  • DraftKings_CM

The one change I don’t like is now all of my progress on the achievements is rounded. For example, on the Gridiron Guru achievement I used to be able to see the exact number of contests needed but now I just see something like 1.5K/1.6K. Am I 1 contest away or 100? And now it shows 1.6K/1.6K. Did I hit it directly or am I just not able to claim the NFL achievements yet?

Our engineers are working on a solution that will include two decimal points rather than one, we agree – and are in the process of making that improvement.

I actually am very pleased with this new system. As it was mentioned above, I am about to hit my next tier for this month, only need about 5 more crowns. So, instead of claiming my achievement crowns and having the extra 595 crowns go towards the next tier (which I can’t hit since its the last day of the month) I am saving this to claim tomorrow and having a nice bonus start towards next month. If used properly, this is a great change, thanks DK.

Sounds like a great rainy day fund you have stashed there, that’s how to do it! YOU decide when to claim your rewards, this is a huge benefit for active players! Keep in mind achievements are designed to reward activity, that’s one of the many reasons why we made these improvements.

Now my luck, I will forget about these and that is the intent of DK i feel like…..

Quite the contrary actually, our intent is for users to claim more rewards than ever before. These improvements will expedite the time it takes for rewards to process, thus credditing you for claimed rewards in much less time than it used to take. You will be reminded to claim your rewards once you approach the end of the 30-day window following the conclusion of the Achievement program in case you do forget.

Using Google Chrome, I still have the old bar up top. Is this supposed to change?

That is how your top bar should look when using a web browser. Achievements are found under the Promos heading, or by visiting here: https://www.draftkings.com/lp/achievements#/all

This is a good change.. If you cant log into the site once a month to claim rewards you arent a frequent player anyway and thats the whole point of frequent player rewards

UPDATE: We solved the problem by rounding down the number displayed while adding a decimal to make the shorthand easier to understand.

If you want to see the exact amount f your progress rather than the rounded down number, you can tap the Achievement badge and the modal window will expand.

If your wondering why we do it this way, this allows us to assure our user interface fits within the limited space available on mobile apps. Thank you for catching this jriddell, good call out!

I am too lazy to do the math on when the “every day” achievements in NBA and NHL pay out the 25,000 for playing almost every day. It looks like NHL ends April 4 and NBA ends April 9. I should be able to claim one 25K achievement in April and one in May to have 2 months at Diamond instead of one, correct?

edit: Answered my own q, disregard

Also I’m not sure if this has been mentioned anywhere but is there a way to see when your rewards “expire”? I don’t want to hoard these and then not be able to use them…

Been thinking about it since they rolled this out haha

Trying to decide if it’s even worth it for me to hold onto them as idk if they’ll be enough to kickstart me to platinum yet.

30 days after the end of the season in question. So you’d have several months still to claim NBA/NHL.

Ok thanks for clarifying!!! I thought it was just “30 days” period. I guess I could have found that but hate to look for those sort of things. Good thing we have other people that pay attention to what they get into lol

Achievements are the only thing I win in DFS! Now if they can reduce the number of satellites they run or at least add a button/option to filter out the satellite contests so I can find the real contests easier!!

  • WidumBoise

Need a little more outta you.

  • Steverino01

I’m a fan of the Achievements. Also love being able to collect the achievements when you like. Hoping to see PGA and Nascar achievements in 2019.

Correct. Pending any schedule changes, you can claim NHL rewards in April (with the deadline to claim being 11:59 ET on May 6th, 2019) while NBA rewards will remain available until 11:59 PM ET on May 10, 2019. See our Achievements FAQ page “(here)”:https://www.draftkings.com/achievements-faq#nba for more.

The Achievements FAQ page lists how long you have to complete Achievements for all sports where Achievements are offered, as well as how long you have to claim your rewards before they expire. See our Achievements FAQ page “(here)”:https://www.draftkings.com/achievements-faq#nba.

Will NFL rewards be redeemable up to 30 days after the end of the regular season or playoffs?

    Thanks.

  • TheRyanFlaherty

I was anxious about the NHL/NBA thing too, but having the month now to claim points is pretty awesome…honestly, this sort of thing is almost foreign to me…how often is anything, much less a reward program, structured to be in the consumers favor and allowing them to maximize value? It’s this sort of thing that has led me to play on DK daily and further from other sites. Bravo!

so I noticed this past Saturday that I had 16/17 weeks for the ultimate ironman achievement. I played in a paid nfl contest yesterday, but did not get the 500 crown reward. Why is that? I’m wondering if I had to click on the “play now” button on the ultimate ironman achievement page?

  • thegeneral391

my 500 crown reward just showed up, check yours

  • clrockny24

I did get mine! figured I’d get it eventually.

Do the playoffs count for NFL Achievements? I made it 99% to the next tier for yards (10K crowns) which is frustrating.

NFL rewards are redeemable for up to 30 days after the conclusion of the regular season (Dec 30th). You therefore have until January 29th, 2019 11:59 PM ET to claim your rewards.

Do the playoffs count for NFL Achievements? I made it 99% to the next tier for yards (10K crowns) which is frustrating.

Playoffs will not count towards the regular season NFL Achievements program. There will be a separate NFL Playoff Achievements program that launching in time for the Wild Card games.
