    DraftKings and DraftStreet Join Forces

Today, we are excited to announce that DraftKings has acquired DraftStreet, bringing together the two best products in daily fantasy. For the past several days, we have watched as many speculated, not just about whether the rumors were true but also about the reasons why. Let me be clear on one point – the one and only reason why DraftKings and DraftStreet are teaming up is that we believe we are a better company combined than separate. Yes, userbase and liquidity will grow, but more importantly we are bringing together two great teams that will work hard to infuse everything you love about DraftStreet and DraftKings into one incredible experience. Please remember, of course, that this cannot happen overnight. Things like snake drafts, pick’ems, and an improved loyalty program as well as new sports like soccer are in the future plans, but these take time to create and will need to be prioritized along with the rest of the features we are working on. But rest assured that the plan is to bring all the great elements of DraftStreet over to DraftKings so we can deliver to you the most amazing experience in daily fantasy sports.

Later tonight, we will be launching a process on DraftStreet.com by which you can migrate your account over to DraftKings. Once that is live, you will be able to access all of your funds immediately using this process, including withdrawals. Between now and then, please be patient with us while we get this up and running. As part of this launch, we will be offering any new DK players a 100% deposit bonus on transferred funds, and we will also be offering that bonus again when you make your first deposit on DK. For players who are already on DK, we will be offering you a 25% bonus on transferred funds if you have a DraftStreet account. If you don’t have a DraftStreet account, we will still make the 25% bonus available to you whenever you make your next deposit. Be on the lookout for an email with instructions on how to redeem it. If for some reason you don’t receive that email, just send a note to support@draftkings.com and we will send you a link to redeem the bonus.

As always, if you have questions about your account, please contact support@draftkings.com. If questions are posted here, we will do our best to answer them, but please use the standard support channel for fastest response. The customer experience team will be working overtime all week in order to help respond as immediately as possible to any inquiries.

In closing, I want to thank all of our loyal DK players and also welcome all the new DraftStreet players to DraftKings. Our work is never done when it comes to bringing you the best possible experience in daily fantasy sports, and joining forces with DraftStreet today is another huge step in that direction.

See….that is the tragedy in this whole scenario. DS was so unique and worked so well. That team knew their stuff and had a superior product imo and proved it ever day. Good for them that their hard work was noticed and feared by competitors but bad for a lot DFS fans that were loyal to DS. Ok end of panty bunched baby rant lol

Some good news for you is that the whole DS team is joining DK. I don’t know how that will translate in the long run in cap structure, roster depth, etc, but I’m sure their influence on DK’s product will be substantial.

This shakes my desire to play at the frequency I was before. I was on DS every day. I spent countless hours (I mean hundreds at least) building spreadsheets based on DS and their system. Now I have to start from scratch on more than a year of work. I am sure DK is a fine site, but this seems like a good time for me to reassess what I am doing.

I am sincerely happy that the whole team is moving over and I hope you are right.

In regards to a lot of posts here regarding features like a full featured VIP program, pick’em games, snakes, soccer, and so on I think the answer is quite simple.

I think it’s been evident that we’re constantly plugging away at our product. We want to be able to offer every game and feature for everyone and we work as hard and as fast as we can to deliver it at the quality our customers have come to expect.

While we can’t provide any timeline for the implementation of specific features we will certainly try to implement some of the awesome salary algorithms from the DS team in the near future.

How come new players get 100% bonus and those of us who have been loyal DK users only get 25%… Come on now, that’s LOW BUDGET BS.

I think the reality is it’s hard to imagine that the entire Draftstreet team will stay on. Frankly, it’s impossible. These are start-ups, not huge corporations (and huge corporations let tons of people go in mergers too because they become expendable). The hope is that the right people at DS stay on.

Why change the salary algorithms? They were not broken on DK

Confirmed. The DK guys were in the DS office all of last week. And this week we’ve got DS guys heading up to Boston. It won’t happen over night, but the plan is to take full advantage of each company’s strengths.

DS team will be there for at least 3 months. Don’t think they got long term deals.

ALL of the salary algorithms….no sal cap online even comes close to what DS accomplished there. Brilliant

Please don’t change to the DS system.

Super strict pricing makes it too tough on new players, please don’t change the current structure at DK. If you implement the DS style, please offer it separately.

There is a reason DK Bought DS, not the other way around. The salary system on DK is currently great for both new/seasoned users..it’s not broke, please don’t try to fix it.

Easy mode and Hard mode. Or “Beginner” and “Expert”

Unfortunately that is SOP for most, if not all, business. Doesn’t make it right and i don’t think it’s cool at all.

I was a new player on DS, they were my first DFS site to deposit on and I took to that system right away. So did the hand full of guys I referred. Don’t underestimate people’s ability to add.

Agree. Wasn’t a fan of the salary cap games on DS, only Pick’em.

I am still confused about the DSBC. I have earned 8 vouchers into what would have been the next $22 qualifier. The FAQ section says (about pending vouchers):

“Your unused DraftStreet vouchers will transfer to your DraftKings account as DraftKings Dollars (site credits). DraftKings Dollars are cash-equivalent credits good for entry into real-money contests on our site only. If you use these credits to enter a contest and win, you are paid out in real money.”

Are the DSBC qualifiers going to run as scheduled? And will my “Draftkings Dollars” still equate to all the right amount of vouchers I won?
