Change the entry limit on mma contest there is no reason a user should be able to enter 150 lineups with such small pool of fighters to choose from especially with all the cancelled fights. It’s the same max enter guys splitting 1st place every time. Or at least make 1 big single entry contest to choose

  • TeamTwerk

PLEASE run the $5 knuckleball with 50k+ entries every night. This contest has easily filled 50-75k entries every time it has run. You are blowing it with these tiny field $8 rally and $3 moon shot contests half the nights. I love DFS and I skip playing some of these days when all you have are terrible contests. I feel like you could be attracting a lot of NBA players with a huge field $5 ( or $6 , or $4 or $8) every night.

Why are the majority of the FBWC qualifier contests in the $150+ entry fee range? Let’s at least open a few of these up at lower buy-in levels with 150 max.

They used to run $3 or $5 satties (back in 2015) with a low ME and smallish pool of players with top 2-4 places winning a $1,000 tix to FBWC sat. Won 4 of those in April/May 2015 and almost took down a seat (finished 3rd or 4th with top 2 winning a seat)…. they stopped running them and if they resumed I didn’t notice (I stopped looking for them)… that was the most level playing field contest I remember DK running… as I type this I realize why they stopped. LOL

Not sure if this has been mentioned but the 10 users block is ridiculously low considering how many lineup buyers and syndicates are playing nowadays.

I rarely play cash games and every time I start dabbling in them a bit, I remember why I stopped.
Out of 40 h2h today there were 5 and 6 players with identical lineups. Decided to use the block feature and 10 are out of the way, but I am sure there will be 10-20 more tomorrow.
I don’t care if I win or lose some low $$ h2h… just want to play against someone that came up with its own lineup

  • SkateFiend

I’m very pleased with the recent changes to the payout structure. I started playing at DK again.

I would like to see smaller one dollar single entry contests with 400-500 entrants. But this is a good start.

  • joec0726

What happened to the MLB $2 2x Min Cash, $5k to First 20 max contest?!? Finally, a contest with a halfway decent payout structure and entry limit, and it runs for all of 1 week. The 20 entry max contests that ran over the weekend, and especially the one for tomorrow’s slate are just flat out piss poor. What exactly was wrong with this contest that it couldn’t continue to run as is?

  • joec0726

I see the contest is there now for today. Awesome! Perhaps I jumped the gun a bit with my previous post.

I complained to them on twitter about it on Friday.. I guess it only runs when there are under 12 games on the slate?.. So stupid.. I actually love the tournament, and have played it EVERY TIME it has ran.

As the screen capture below shows, there are many ways to satellite to a $150 qualifier. We are always open to alternative suggestions, we will share your proposal with our team members and ask them to explore increasing multi-entries for middle/lower stakes qualifiers. No promises that your wish will come true, we will chat with all the right people internally on your behalf to make sure your suggestion is considered. Thnx!

PS: For those reading this post who are not aware, If you win a satellite seat into the FBWC it includes a $4M FBWC ticket, a $100K FBWC Showdown ticket, and a three-night (August 9–12) VIP trip to New York City (with $1,000 cash to over airfare costs). Each FBWC ticket is valued at $36,369!!!! https://www.draftkings.com/lp/2018-baseball-world-championship

The number of other DraftKings players a user can block as been increased from 3 to 10 last year as part of our Players First Initiative. We agree that our team should review this policy, your request has been noted.

PS: DraftKings does not allow the selling or sharing of lineups. This policy is intended to stop customers that build complementary lineups while executing a strategy that may create any unfair advantage over individual play. This includes the use of pre-built lineups acquired from 3rd party websites or engaging in the distribution of shared/complimentary lineups. If you suspect that another user(s) may be engaging in behavior that you feel negatively impacts the integrity of our contests, please contact us at GameIntegrity@DraftKings.com and share any evidence you may have. Our team of game security and integrity experts will investigate and take all reasonable claims seriously.

Actually, re-reading my original post, I strongly feel there shouldn’t be any limit at all to how many users one can block from h2h

I am a fan of the $2 tablesetter but I do think the payout needs to restructured a bit. $5k to 1st, but only $150 to 10th is too far off imo. Would much prefer $4k to 1st, and $400 to 10th following the 10%/10% guideline many have posted. Also really like the $1 strike three with $1k to 1st. $50 to 10th could be adjusted but much better ratio than the $2 gpp.

The current structure is targeted for a very specific group of players. I understand you can win a ticket to one of these higher buy-in contests via satellite but you should understand that certain players (like myself) don’t typically play single entry contests like this. A lower buy-in 150 entry max contest would satisfy a different group of players.

    Thanks.

If it’s true that it only runs when there are less than 12 games, that is indeed stupid. One would think if you’re trying to keep the narrative that “this is a game of skill”, you would want to have MORE contests like these on larger slates (I’m aware there are 20 max contests on each slate, but let’s be honest, they’re all BS compared to this one and ones that ran regularly last year). Larger slate + less entries per player = people making tougher decisions on who to play or stack, which results in a contest that doesn’t lend itself as much to stacking each team 5 ways and hoping the variance monster calls your name that night. Anyway, that’s just my opinion, glad to have the contest back for today at least.

Draftkings: Got your email about retiring the Arcade Mode contests. I did like these mode of play more than pick’em and showdown. I would like to know how this will affect your Big League Achievement program. I had been mass entering some Arcade contests to try and meet these achievements but was that in vain now? Also I find it difficult to consistently get 75 points on the Pick’em and 60 points of the showdown contests for get Big League Achievement goals.

Generally speaking, we run a big $2 when we have a large $5 game for MLB. When we run $8 and $4, we’ve started to run a large $1 game as well. We’ve continued to use 2x min cash on these games, and our current plan is to continue with this strategy.

Like all of our policies, the recently introduced 2x min-cash payout structures are constantly being reviewed. Our analysts will review all available data as we continue to refine to create the most fair, fun, daily fantasy sports experience possible.

We also acknowledge that there may be special cases where we deviate from these policies, we will do our best to notify the community if that occurs.

We also loved Arcade mode, and understand when people like you are disappointed. This change will allow us to focus our attention on more popular contest variants that well help us promote the great game of baseball. We remain committed to providing multiple contest variants and introducing new game types to keep the playing experience fresh and exciting – don’t worry, in the long run this will be viewed as a good choice by us.

Your Big League Achievements previously earned will not be affected. Our largest Arcade Mode contest will pay out 5x FPPs this week to help our some players earn more achievements this week. We’ve also adjusted the achievement thresholds for users participating in Big League Season Achievements so that fewer goals will need to be met. You will now be competing for a total of 80 completed season achievements instead of 88. In conjunction with the phase out of Arcade Mode on Friday, 5/11, we will remove “The Gamer” achievement from the Big League Achievements – but you can continue to earn for this achievement until it is removed on the 11th.

In regards to the $2 Tablesetter, you said you listened to feedback from the players and as such, came up with this contest. It ran for a week and now DK runs it “occasionally’? Are you truly listening to the player? I really wanted to max out that contest last Friday when it was a 14 game slate and I was only planning on playing $40 worth of contests that day. I was told on Twitter to just play the $3 20 max instead. If the $2 was filling, which it seemed to be doing, why not offer it daily??

Because as much as they have a “play responsibly” slogan… they will change entry fees, contest sizes, prize pools and payout structures to make sure we play as much as we can (or more)… as you said, you planned on playing only $40 that night. That was the issue, they probably monitored players entering the tablesetter and saw that those players volume was going down and they were happy playing just that contest…. so that contest becomes harmful to DK bottom line.

Oh, I get it for sure. Just wanted to see what was the response I would get. I am a glutton for punishment after all.

It’s pretty frustrating that you must open up the missions tab and then enter a contest through that portal in order to be eligible for mission rewards. There are times where I’ll forget, enter a contest which is eligible, but then not earn mission rewards since I did not enter through the missions portal. I feel that this is something that should be automatically applied and additional outreach on my part (ie, emailing support) shouldn’t be necessary.
