Anyone know, do the NBA 2-day slates NOT count for achievement progress for ironman? I entered some 2 day slates on 9/19 and got no credit for the NBA (nor the MLB/NBA two sport ironman) for that day.

You would have to enter another contest on the second day to make it count for the ironman. It says play 1$ on 40 days but if you do a two day that is only playing on the day it starts, not the second day.

Experience Badges signify contest entry milestones for accomplished players. Anyone with an Experience Badge is ineligible for Beginner or Casual Contests. This is the most important function of Badges, they serve to protect the inexperienced and keep players who earned a badge out of the contests reserved for Beginners/Casuals.

Our highest level badge is reserved for the 1,000 Plus Big Win. It appears you earned this badge and stripe after you competed in more than 1000 contests and win $1,000 in 3 or more contests, or win a total of $2,500 in 5 contests. If you’ve entered over 1,000 contests or had qualifying wins, then we no longer consider you a rookie – and everyone from this point forward has the same badge.

The important takeaway here is that Experience Badges are not measurements of skill. If you would like to see more Experience Badges added, we’re open to hearing your thoughts on what the parameters should be. We always listen to ideas!

One example here is Yahoo. They have the ambiguous Veteran status with similar thresholds to DK. If you play enough, you attain Veteran status and can no longer enter the No Veterans contests. What Yahoo allows that helps inform players is to allow for clicking on a user’s profile and see how many paid wins they have in each sport. I have veteran status there and have 1,069 paid wins from various sports. Moklovin has the same Veteran logo next to his name as I do but he has 221,036 paid wins. thatstunna-A0F7F has 25,766 paid wins. Those two players are relatively well know but it helps with players you aren’t familiar with. Particularly when you are considering smaller contests with 3-10 players. Am I about to play against someone who plays 100x the entries I do on a daily basis or am I about to play someone who plays a similar amount as I do? I don’t think dollar amounts can or should be displayed for obvious privacy reasons but if Yahoo can provide paid win counts, then DK can do something similar. Whether that is updated badges or just providing access to that information. The overall point here is that the badges indicate that players with the same badge are similar (whether intentional or not), when we all know that is patently not true in terms of the highest badge. It seems like a pretty obvious area for potential improvement.

I am traveling to AZ. If I enter contest prior to leaving can my Lineups be edited. I will not be entering any new contest just editing prior lineup due to injury news

Do you have plans for expanded offerings or online championships for college football/basketball this fall/winter. With the change in schedules due to the pandemic, in a few weeks we’re going to be done with NBA, MLB, and NHL until the next calendar year. That means November and December will be pretty big lulls for DFS with little in between NFL weekends.

Do you anticipate having a college football online championship like you’ve had the last few years (haven’t seen it promoted or satellites)? I Would love to see it and think college dfs can help fill the NBA/NHL gap if you give it a chance.

I entered a Week 2 Sit & Go Best Ball draft and loved it (even though I finished 4th of 12), I haven’t seen a Week 3 only Sit & Go. Will there be a weekly one for just the current week? All I currently see is a week 3-16.

    Thanks for your help!

I got an email from support yesterday (in response to a question asked on Sunday) and another email today in response to a question I asked last night

Ever since the Best Ball “situation” they have been much, much slower to respond than usual.

Oh I did for the second day. Every time in the past, the day entered counted as the day, not the day finished.

It looks like I will be one day short on the baseball Ironman due to the night all the evening games got cancelled. Does DK ever adjust totals like that. I sent a ticket in to see if I could get credit for the day but I have heard nothing back. I probably shouldn’t expect it but 7.5k crowns is a big deal for a small $ player.

I would expect them to take care of you considering the circumstances. I missed a $5 day by 50 cents on one of those days but still have enough days to make it. Considering how they handled the NHL Ironman after the season being cancelled, I can’t see them taking a hard line on this after games were cancelled the day of with very little warning.

I have 61/65 Baseball Ironman days played now. Don’t think last night has been credited yet so I probably have 62 days played. Do we get a bonus for going over the 65 days ?

I hope you are right. Earlier upthread the DK support guy said something, in response to this question, like “we got your back.”

  • joephoto

Yup, just updated. I currently have 62/65 DK MLB days played.

Always entered lineups the night before to be sure.

When are going to add a button on your website lobby to filter out the 60%-70% of satellites you offer so we can see the actual real contests we want to see?

If we cannot fill those satellites, then the contests that they feed will likely get a lot smaller because there will be fewer entries. It’s a chicken/egg scenario, but we are always working to improve the right balance. We’ve noted your suggestion, but we also want to set realistic expectations at the same time. Satellites are very important to the ecosystem.

I think you misunderstood, hautalak was asking why the biggest low-entry GPPs are all very flat — going against your findings. I’m also curious.

Yes, thank you for responding to that. I think they are just so used to “top heavy” instead of “too flat” (mostly low stakes). I was trying to piggyback off what you were saying. There’s times when I avoid 5% up top contests.

There is an entire spectrum of differing opinions held in the DFS community regarding payout curves. We’re always working to find the right balance, a solution that makes as many of our users as happy as possible. As DFS evolves over time (in the form of new game types, sport, etc) we review the performance of all contest curves and structures we offer and make adjustments accordingly. Whether this is retiring curves, adding new ones, or increasing/decreasing existing structures is only determined in time.

I’m still wondering why I haven’t gotten paid out for beating the high score from the FBWC in the shadow contest. I tried support through the app and twitter and just get ignored. Is the promo for that contest not going to be honored?

The FBWC shadow payouts occurred on Monday, after the weekend’s events were complete. Congratulations for beating the high score, that is quite an accomplishment!

If a player submits a lineup that is already duplicated in the contest they’re presented with a message that says “This lineup has already been entered into this contest. Please submit a different lineup.”

DK cannot disqualify an entire lineup because someone else also played that lineup, for obvious reasons.

SkateFiend is correct, however there can be other mitigating factors that we review when duplicate lineups appear – such as the unpermitted behaviors defined within the DraftKings Community Guidelines.

Is it possible to customize the contest lobby? For instance, I personally don’t want to see non-guaranteed contests, nor contests greater than $100. Right now I’m filtering every time I look for contests. Can I modify the default settings?

Everything you describe can be found using filters in the DFS lobby. We have seen some users request “sticky filter” settings, is that what you’re asking for? How do you expect filters to work? Can you foresee any downsides to keeping filters enabled all the time?

One other suggestion for distinguishing really active players: make the crown tier seen by others instead of (or along with) experience badge.

The important takeaway here is that Experience Badges are not intended to be measurements of skill, but we are keeping an open mind about this topic as we know there are some players who would like to see us evolve here.

Are you going to have postseason MLB achievements?

Do you have plans for expanded offerings or online championships for college football/basketball this fall/winter.

We don’t comment on upcoming achievement or contest plans, time will tell as always!

Also, for the Big Stage Slugger achievement, I am at 9/10. But there is no Sunday Night Baseball game this coming Sunday, so how will I know when the “Showdown of the Week” is coming, so I can make sure to enter. Will it be titled “Showdown of the Week” and/or can you tell me which game it is, so I can make sure I don’t miss it.

There will be a final “Showdown of the Week” contest on Sunday, September 27 in the lobby, we got your back!

I got an email from support yesterday (in response to a question asked on Sunday) and another email today in response to a question I asked last night

This is such an incredibly exciting time for us as avid sports fans with the convergence of all major leagues at the same time, but it also means that our support inquiry volume is through the roof. Live chat has been reconfigured to be accessible when there is an available agent, when an agent is not available your request is routed to a form – which coincidentally is usually the best option for our customers.

I entered a Week 2 Sit & Go Best Ball draft and loved it (even though I finished 4th of 12), I haven’t seen a Week 3 only Sit & Go. Will there be a weekly one for just the current week? All I currently see is a week 3-16.

We are currently offering Best Ball Sit & Gos for Week 3 to Week 16 of the NFL season.

We recognize that you may be waiting patiently for a resolution to your inquiry, we promise to get back to you with the same high-quality service that we always provide as soon as we can. Our support team will be willing to review your case on its own merits.

I have 61/65 Baseball Ironman days played now. Don’t think last night has been credited yet so I probably have 62 days played. Do we get a bonus for going over the 65 days ?

We do not offer a bonus for going over 65 days, however we do have the Mega Fantasy Baseball Ironman which pays a reward of 17.5K Crowns on top of the 7.5K Crowns you earn for the Fantasy Baseball Ironman achievement.

By the way @draftkings_cm, thanks for being here to answer everyone’s questions (and for the stellar email customer service). I can’t even begin to explain how frustrating it is dealing with your main competition (who shall remain nameless), compared to dealing with Draftkings.

Yes, customized sticky filters would be great. For instance, I always want guaranteed-only, no higher than $100, sorted high to low. Speed to enter contests is what I’m looking for. So it’s a drag to have to filter the contest lobby every time I go. (I’m an app-only user, which may be to my detriment)

I’d argue that the difference between Beginners/Casuals and Average Joes is significantly less than the difference between Average Joes and Professionals. DK is insulating the beginners, but the rest of us are swimming with the sharks. I understand if DK doesn’t want to spotlight the professionals (and potentially hurt their action), but that’s what these requests are asking for.

  • bure10

The badges basically highlight if you have passed the beginner/casual stage but there is such a large gap after that rendering the badges pretty useless. There is 0 reason why I should have the same badge as Chipotle/awesemo etc…

I know they don’t credit until the contest is complete. You might not see credit until 9/21 if you entered on 9/19 and with NBA if the game went past midnight on 9/20 you probably wouldn’t have seen credit until 9/22.
