    NFTs lol

That’s my whole question DraftKings. What’s the plan for the NFTs?

  • rgriffin37

Should we expect Premier League Achievements this week with the league starting back up on Friday?

  • realphipps

Is there a way to get this NFT junk off my DFS app?

I’m logging into the DFS app to play DFS. Not to shop for crap I have literally no interest in.

Disregard this question as the achievements went up today.

Could you guys check my location 5 minutes before a slate locks instead of the last minute?

DraftKings is required to confirm that all lineups are entered while a user is physically located within a permitted jurisdiction at the time of contest entry. These support articles may help ensure a smooth geolocation process each time you submit a lineup:

I was excited to see this promo when it first came out but after seeing so many of these ridiculous goals to win $10 or $20 I realized it definitely isn’t worth upping my weekly play ot hit as many cards as possible.

Agreed. I realized this when my “instant win” card awarded me a whopping 500 crowns

If you dont spend more money just because of the wildcards, this is a nice addition. Sure, its not much, and the goals are difficult…. but its free money.

Wild Cards are randomly assigned rewards that come in the form of Instant Winner or Player Challenge cards. Every DraftKings player can earn 6 Wild Cards between 8/2/21 – 9/13/21. Wild Card #1 is free and will be awarded upon visiting the landing page and clicking the claim button.

    https://www.draftkings.com/2021-nfl-wild-cards

The program is not limited to NFL entry fees and wagers. After claiming your free Wild Card, all DFS entry fees into contests that lock between 8/2/21 and 9/13/21 count towards your progress, as do all Sportsbook wagers, with odds -300 or higher, settled between 8/2/21 and 9/13/21.

Apparently I get 20 DK dollars if Alvin Kamara scores THREE touchdowns in week Two ?

Some people would rather have AK41 on their team for a Week 2 divisional matchup than be playing against him! We don’t need to remind you what he did in his last regular season game, do we?

What’s the plan for the NFTs?

DraftKings Marketplace is LIVE on web, mobile web, and within any of the DraftKings apps. DraftKings will drop NFTs at scheduled dates and times. Users can view active and scheduled drops on the Drops page here https://marketplace.draftkings.com/, and the NFT Drop schedule for the Preseason Access Collection by Autograph is available here https://dknation.draftkings.com/playbook/22613107/draftkings-marketplace-nft-drop-schedule.

Before the scheduled NFT drop time, be sure to “Join the Drop” to secure a spot in line. You’ll be added to the waiting room where everyone will then be given a random order in the queue at the time of the drop. Users can also browse our secondary market to buy more NFTs or place previously acquired NFTs for sale.

For more information about the DK Marketplace, and to review all the FAQs prior to participating in your first Drop, please check out the Marketplace about page here: https://marketplace.draftkings.com/about.

Should we expect Premier League Achievements this week with the league starting back up on Friday?

Disregard this question as the achievements went up today.

I’m logging into the DFS app to play DFS. Not to shop for crap I have literally no interest in.

DraftKings Marketplace is a new platform available to DraftKings customers and will not affect your DFS experience. One login grants you access to the DraftKings Daily Fantasy Sports, Sportsbook, Casino, and Marketplace products. Its ok if you have no interest in NFT collectables, but it is pretty clear to see from our day 1 results that the users are big believers in what we are doing – the Primary Market Drop sold out quickly, and the Secondary sales market is already taking off!

I wasn’t asking how successful it was. I asked if there was a way to get it off my DFS app?

I don’t need a reminder, every time I open the app, that you’re selling another product totally unrelated to DFS.

  • TheShaman43

+1 to the above NFT comments, I wish it weren’t so prominently located at the top of the app. I hold out hope that once the “new toy” phase wears off that the NFT material will find its natural home, but for now…

The banner is detrimental to the DK app experience. NFTs** may, or may not, prove popular within the DK environment but one thing it clearly is NOT is fantasy/gaming related and that’s the reason I’m logging into the app multiple times a day. The banner is obnoxious, out of place, and quite frankly poorly located from a UI perspective.

**I am not an NFT hater. I was one of the first collectors on the SuperRare market and am excited for what NFTs can do for the future democratization of the art market…it’s just out of place here.

Agree here. Why are fantasy sports players being subjected this EVERY day. Hopefully it will stop soon.

  • thedkexperience

For the record I’m 100% interested in NFTs and easy access to them so cool by me.

Is there any advantage to be had by getting in the queue earlier? I believe you’re saying there is not.

The prices on these things are 15x ROIing right now. You can add fantasy anything and I’ll play it for 15x ROI.

  • ryanprzy

The NFT and Casino ads are obnoxious. I was just hit with an NFT ad that wouldn’t close when I hit the X. Gotta draw the line when it interferes with me accessing my lineups

  • thedkexperience

Guys, please. Please understand what you are saying. Please look at the resale market on the next tab and understand what you are saying you don’t want.

The $250 card that went on sale at 3PM is being resold 24 minutes later for a minimum of $7100 with 41 of 100 on the resell block.

You do not need to understand cryptocurrency. You do not need to understand why this is a thing. You don’t even need to do anything but jump in a queue and see what number in line you are assigned. If you get lucky (in this one I was 22,000ish in line for a 1 of 100 item) you will 10, 15 or even 20x your money in minutes.

DraftKings is doing all of us a favor.

  • wolfjb1

I’m not sure this is accurate. It is being LISTED for $7,100. We are not seeing any evidence that people are buying.

On Wednesday when I was lucky enough to get one of the $12 and one of the $50 NFTs, I listed and de-listed mine multiple times until it sold (because I stupidly listed it too high).

There’s no way to know if sales are happening. And as I write this post 40 minutes after your post, the top listing is down to $4K. Which is a great ROI if they’re selling but I am not seeing anything like we saw on topshot where you could see how much they actually sold for (it might be there, but I don’t see it)

With that said, I like the NFTs especially if I can keep flipping them.

I understand and don’t give a shit. Hopefully, they’ll break it off into a separate thing soon. It’s not DFS. They separated the Sportbook into it’s own platform and that is FAR more germane to why people are logging in. It’s obnoxious. I’m glad you’re happy with it, though.

This is fair. And for what it’s worth I was expecting to sell the $250 one for $4000-$5000 myself should I have been lucky enough to grab one. The initial listings were clearly skewed as stuff generally is in auction house online video game type marketplaces. It’s really acting no different then the new card market in The Show on PlayStation. Crazy initial prices before settling in an area. In this case about 10 to 20x.

But I just wanted to stress that DK has given us an opportunity to make money, period. I love sports and DFS as much as the rest of us but selling one of these a few minutes after you get it is free money.

If there was a promo that said “click here for a free chance to be 1 of 100 customers who are given the chance to pay $250 and receive $4000 back a few minutes later” who isn’t clicking that link?

    It’s not DFS.

We understand where you’re coming from as avid DFS players. The first product DraftKings offered customers was DFS, and we’ll never forget our roots.

In 2021, however, DraftKings is so much more than just a DFS company. We’re a fan engagement and fintech company dedicated to providing our customers with many opportunities to enjoy “the sweat” and play “the game within the game”. As you can see from the responses of some of your fellow RotoGrinders members, there’s a lot of demand for what the Marketplace has to offer.

Is there any advantage to be had by getting in the queue earlier? I believe you’re saying there is not.

At the scheduled drop time, everyone in the waiting room is assigned a random spot in the queue. The time you join the waiting room is irrelevant, queue order assignments are made by a random number generator (RNG).

For example, if the drop time is 3:00 and the waiting room opens at 2:30, your chance of getting the 1st spot in the queue is the same if you join the waiting room at 2:31 or if you join at 2:59 – just make sure you’re in the waiting room before the drop time!

I was just hit with an NFT ad that wouldn’t close when I hit the X. Gotta draw the line when it interferes with me accessing my lineups

Please contact our support team by emailing support@draftkings.com, we would like to review your experience so we can address it asap. Our intention is to allow you to close the banners, we tested to be sure it does not interfere with the user experience prior to posting. If your experience differs, we will work to solve your unique problem. Thnx in advance for emailing us!

I am not seeing anything like we saw on topshot where you could see how much they actually sold for (it might be there, but I don’t see it)

We’re constantly innovating and big things are on the way! Some features we’re actively working on:

    1. Auction capabilities
    2. The ability to withdraw your NFTs
    3. Public portfolios
    4. Additional content

We have no additional features to share at this time, but rest assured that secondary market sales data is a topic that has been surfaced with the Marketplace development team, as well.

DraftKings is doing all of us a favor.

    You get it!!!!

If you are a DFS-only player, that’s cool – we embrace you! In turn we ask that you welcome the other verticals which help us keep DFS contests filled. Marketplace’s NFTs will help us maintain DFS guarantees – it’s all part of the complete DK ecosystem!

    @draftkings_cm

Thanks for the response. I’ve been discussing this in some other forums and the most common worry people are bringing up is “are there any restrictions on DraftKings employees from buying the NFTs either from the initial drop or the aftermarket” and during the queue lottery “is there any way that DraftKings or it’s partners can alter it to allow someone a higher place in line?”

Basically people want to make sure a drop of 100 items isn’t filled with DraftKings affiliates getting the first 99 slots.

Edit – I started a thread about this on Reddit Cryptocurrency as well about 2 hours ago.

i just dont know why people care. Do people walk into target and complain about some endcap that they have displayed? If you dont want to get involved with the NFT stuff, completely understandable. Just go to the part of the app that you do want to use and focus on that.

“are there any restrictions on DraftKings employees from buying the NFTs either from the initial drop or the aftermarket”

DraftKings is in the highly regulated industries of Fantasy Sports, Sportsbetting, and online Casino. Employees cannot play in DFS contests with customers, and cannot bet in our gamine products – this is a well monitored process to assure compliance. Similarly, DK employees cannot participate in the Marketplace – we cannot be in the queues or buy on the Secondary Market.

“is there any way that DraftKings or it’s partners can alter it to allow someone a higher place in line?”

We are also a casino company that uses random number generators for the outcome of games. RNGs that cannot be modified are employed to assure a fair deal for everyone – DK’s Fair Play Commitment extends to the Marketplace too!

Thanks! This is all great to hear.

On a side note if anyone wants to buy this #420 Tom Brady off me for the price of a new house I’m all ears. 🤣

  • TheShaman43

Despite the negative I expressed earlier in the thread, I actually was pretty interested in the Gretzky NFT but was probably only willing to dip my toes in with the carbon (3:00PM drop) or platinum (4:00PM drop) offerings. I see that the drop times were consistent with the Brady NFTs and now the Osaka ones are scheduled and also begin at 3:00 eastern.

Is there any chance we might see variations in drop times for future NFTs? For some of us casuals, the ability to hang out on the app during a workday isn’t always possible. Do I have to hope to get lucky and have a drop I’m interested in coincide with a slow day, or might I see NFTs released at different times of day in the future?

  • Stangs13

How does DraftKings decide the order of the recommended tournaments on the app. I pretty much only play tournaments $10 or less and about a week ago my recommended tournaments switched to all tournaments over $100. Not the end of the world I just have to scroll down a long ways to find the tournaments in my price range.

The silence on this one is deafening. While we wait on that answer I do have a positive story.

I bought #420/5000 Carbon Tom Brady for $500 last week and sold it yesterday for $694.20. There was a 15% tax but overall I turned a $90.07 profit.

Regardless of what may or may not have occurred on the shady side there is still money to be had here.

What words of support would you have for someone who has heard of people winning multiple NFT’s yet personally has been in the waiting room well ahead of the official drop time only to find themselves #20,000+ in line twice and #10,000+ in line as well?
