I only asked it because one, I miss it, Only got the taste of cfball dfs the last year it ran.. And I seen Yahoo is now going to offer season long this season which is a surprise since it’s never been offered by any of the big season long sites before.

That is awesome about Yahoo. I wonder if anyone from the DK team would care to give us a thought on this. I think college football could easily go back to where it was before it was cut off. Flat out: is this something that is going to be offered this year? I will beg, if necessary.

Daily fantasy sports has different regulatory requirements in various states. We abide by all fantasy sports state laws and regulations, which to be clear are independent of sports betting regulation and laws.

To the best of our knowledge there is no limit. If we discover our assumption is incorrect, we will promptly notify you in this thread.

Why was there a .50c minimax advertised for tomorrow and then it mysteriously changed itself to a $1? For MLB.

Sorry for the confusion, there was a typo on our micro-millions promo page. We fixed the typo before the contest went live.

PS: Thank you to everyone who volunteered yesterday, we appreciate your very insightful help.

The upcoming week of featured MLB main sets are scheduled as follows:

Please Note: DraftKings reserves the right to revise, change, alter, or cancel the schedule described above at any time – but we do intend to follow these plans.

    Notable plans:

    • This week we are focussing on the $1M Micro Millions”:https://www.draftkings.com/lp/2018-micro-millions promotion, miniMAX contests are not part of our featured schedule for the week since they are already included in the Micro Millions promo. We will return with a nice $.50 miniMAX next Thursday.

Lets us know your thoughts RotoGrinders – does this advance notice of our lower-stakes headliner gpp schedule help you to better plan your week?

That was not really an answer. I think most of us here know that state A might have a different view on amateur contests than state B, and thus DK has an obligation to follow those laws.

What we want to know, as it has been asked several times in this thread, as well as posited in various other threads since the Supreme Court ruled, is if we could see some form of college football DFS back on DraftKings in 2018.

I can probably answer this as I live within 45 minutes of 3 states and well can tell you in Ohio nothing as far as sports book betting(as it is state by state to set up their own regulations) won’t have anything on the books till 2019 as we are at a term limit governor, so he don’t want till touch it till someone new comes in. Pennsylvania put measures in place in anticipation of an overturn, but they way they have it set up is there is a 10M in fees up front then the Sportsbook must pay a 34% tax on all income/winnings(where as Vegas is 6.7%) so many in PA believe no one will come into the state to run one. West Virginia last I heard is wanting to run any and all through their Lottery Commission which oversees Casinos, Racinos and all Video Slots.

I think the advance notice is a big plus if you can keep it up.

I do have a question related to the miniMAX main event. This has been promoted for over a week and you had people talking about it and looking forward to it….and then it goes active today and the prize pool is a meager 250k with 25k to first?!?

That seems VERY UNDERWHELMING. A lot of the $6-10 contests the last few weeks have been this size or larger.

I for one was very disappointed this was the best you could do for a promotion on a Friday night slate with no conflicting sports running any longer.

I think it was an answer. DK didn’t restrict college sports DFS because of sports gambling laws, so the potential change in sports gambling laws seems pretty irrelevant to whether DK will bring college sports DFS back. It’s pretty clear that they won’t, though of course I could be wrong.

Not to go too site shill on you, but I cannot complain about a $250k GPP with a wonderful 10%/25K to first place (though of course I would have loved a $350K GPP with $35K to first place as well)!

Anything over $200K is a pretty solid GPP, and the 10% to first is just wonderful. If it had $1,000 more to 10th place it would be perfect!

Kudos to DK for a 10% to first place in a large GPP! I’m going to enter maybe 10 more entries than I otherwise would have for a $9.99 GPP just to show some appreciation.

To be clear, I have NO problem at all with the payout structure. If you happened to have read through the posts early on in this thread you’ll see I was a big proponent of the balanced payout structures myself.

My complaint is that the prize pool is not anything special for what was advertised as a “main event”, special contest for over a week. There were several days last week where the total prize pool for tournaments in this entry fee range were significantly larger.

It seems, instead, they are trying to push more players towards the $55, $555, and even the $5,300 entry fee contests. This is their prerogative, of course, but why promote this contest as something special and then not do anything special with it? Makes no sense to me; and left some of us disappointed.

Ah, well I certainly don’t have any reason to disagree with what you’re saying. I hadn’t been aware of the ad campaign. Just super pleased with the top-end payout %.

Personally, why I felt this was a unique event is because there was an opportunity to satellite into it for $0.25. Which i appreciated.

In general, DK does not offer quarter satellite’s to get into the regular $4 – $8 gpp’s. I really wish they did because I’d play more and max them out. Loved it years back when they made it possible to bulk up on tix in quarter sats.

    I respectfully disagree.

The climate was totally different when DK cut off college football. When they and FD made the agreement with the NCAA, it was at a time when they did not need any more headache, as the ceiling was falling in for both companies due to the NY ATTY GENERAL.

In the mean time, favorable fantasy laws are being passed (or have been passed) in every state and we just saw Christie vs. NCAA go in favor of NJ. With nothing really working against the fantasy sites at this point, they COULD, and I stress could, decide it is worth their while to pursue fantasy CFB again as it is likely that the shoes are on the other foot and the NCAA has more battles to worry about than this one would be worth in the short-term.

I’m as guilty as anyone else when it comes to posting when things are negative or upsetting, so I wanted to take a moment to post something from a while ago that was a positive and made me pleased.

When you guys rolled out the MLB achievements I really appreciated that it was all inclusive. I appreciated that it counted all games even if only spending a .25 a night. Earlier in the season thatvreally motivated me to at least play something every single night to keep the playinhbevwru day streak alive. And it always wound up more than a quarter, but knowing that’s all it would take for me engaged and ensured I was going to play every night.

As I said, I’m sure I’ve posted about things that upset me, so I did want to point out something that I thought was cool and has had a positive effect on my playing habits on the site.

Bring back the big 10x boosters for golf… last season you had a $10 3 entry 10x booster with 588 people where top 50 got paid… it always filled up so i do not know why it was discontinued

  • kujo33

I enjoy playing the $4 20 max golf gpp. It looks like you have all but eliminated the 20 max of any significant size and replaced it with the $5 150 max. Is this the intention and is this the plan going forward?

So mad I have a dumb phone and spent way too many hours in the ER (emergency room) with the wife this evening (BUT SHE’s OK)..or will be..

    MY ? for DK —

What kind of OVERLAY did the $2 table-setter 20-max GPP have on MONDAY?? (6/25)…………i really liked that 50c crazy 150-max entry GPP — Still wish old FD would go back to the 150-max $1 sac fly — or even 50-max……..but they won’t..so I continue to grind on DK as well, but u guys are making it harder —-

I just wonder if DK will ever change the mini max for Nascar. It has filled the night before the race every single week since it has started. I think it needs to either go up to .50 or a $1 or just increase the entries so it can have a higher pay structure. It clearly is popular.

  • mike291md

Same, you can kiss my business goodbye if the quarter arcade tournament is gone. Let’s just be honest with everyone that you are trying to milk every last dollar by pushing people to higher stakes.

I think DK was mad that the quarter arcade didn’t fill last night. Or if it did, it was a super late fill. Doing away with it is just going to drive the small stakes guys away. This whole thread about listening to the fanbase was nothing but hype because you wanted to bring players back and now you’re going to drive them away again by trying to funnel them into higher stakes.
