These DK reps are trolling all of us. Just like many companies nowadays they want to poach their userbase for free feedback and then use that to maximize their own interests and profits on their end and then frame it like they are being altruistic. When a suggestion here benefits them and they implement it.. they can come back and say SEE we listen.

I understand your frustration with the lineups page, but that entire paragraph is simply unfair and not true. There are already many examples of the DK reps presence on this very forum changing things for the better of the community. They are obviously listening and them being around in the past few months is a HUGE step compared to having zero presence for years.

“I just wonder if DK will ever change the mini max for Nascar. It has filled the night before the race every single week since it has started. I think it needs to either go up to .50 or a $1 or just increase the entries so it can have a higher pay structure. It clearly is popular.” – Dbulls

“You are right, NASCAR mini-MAX contests have filled hours before the lock – and we intend to improve this. Our NASCAR managers have also noticed, and do not think changing the mini-MAX will affect the liquidity of the adjacent contests. This is a good sign that one of your suggestions will come to fruition. Be on the lookout for change when it comes, and feel free to pat yourself on the back when it happens.” – DK CM Team

I thought this was finally going to be the week where we get a $1 150 max entry nascar gpp… instead we lose the .25 cent max 150 gpp… How can you say “we intend to improve this” and “This is a good sign that one of your suggestions will come to fruition. Be on the lookout for change when it comes, and feel free to pat yourself on the back when it happens.” and then turn around and do the exact opposite??? Why the huge mistake??? Are you asleep at the wheel? Are you lying to us or are the decision makers not listening to the advice given to them?

I can see where you are coming from, but there is an element of truth to that paragraph.

That does not mean that the presence has not been a step in the right direction. It also does not mean that there are not some examples of them changing things. DK needs to be held to a higher standard at this point. They have resources and execs are likely cutting huge checks to themselves. No excuses for the infrastructure up front to be so bad.

Maybe RG can loan them some web developers for an hour to fix the problem?

Can someone explain to me why I’m not allowed to join a contest anymore when I live in Indiana? I’m getting a message that says people from IN are not allowed to join cash contests… when did that happen?

Never mind it’s working normal again. Weird I was getting that message though. Must have been a glitch.

Yep. No response on this, though. Putting full effort into the NBA Summer League which is going to cost them a ton of money that will not be made up for by NASCAR.

The Daytona 500 is the top race week of the year, but the second trip would be one of the next 2-4 biggest races I would think? Charlotte and maybe Homestead? It was like they just threw out a 10$ 150 max and thought that the same people who would play a quarter or dollar 150 max will play. They could still toss either a $1 or quarter 150 max and it would fill, but it is highly unlikely.

Yeah that’s the funny thing. If they made a $1 or $.25 mini max right now, it would fill before the $10 would.

Why is there nothing bigger than a 15K guarantee on a 9 game 4:05 Saturday contest?

Probably because that is the secondary slate to the 11 game early. Most people will just play the early slate and the 9 gamer is just a catch all for the people that miss the 1:05 lock.

  • tbird05

I didn’t see the (11) game 2:10 slate with 160k gtd. I guess i was confused because Fanduel ran their 100k at 4:05pm

I would like to know when you are paying out for last night’s Summer League games. This isn’t tennis guys, the games ended over eight hours ago!

  • gridironguru99

Hit the $1 million mark lifetime with you guys but enough was enough in MLB this year for me. The lack of a min cash of 2x or more and the massive increases of the mid and high dollar contests. Used to be $300, now $555 or $888 w/ 12 entries and lame single entry high dollar pots. My play is now at FanDuel for the rest of MLB.

Anybody else notice a change on the DK desktop site? When you’re in the lobby with any sport selected, the “contest types” filter on the left no longer has “tournament” as a option to select. It’s been replaced by “single & limited entry”.

Please someone tell me I’m doing something wrong because I can think of any reason for them to remove the “tournament” filter from that left menu bar.

The $6 Big GPP is great today.

Much more attainable for the mid stakes player to play than the $8 when you are putting in 50+ entries

Can we get a comment from DK on the lineup page? It seems like they’re very reluctant to even acknowledge that it straight up doesn’t work for anyone who plays more than a few lineups. I really hope this is fixed before NFL.

Didn’t fill. Bad structure kills players faster than it attracts new ones.

Do you know for which tournaments you will offer tennis contests in future? Only Grand Slams or more?
So far tennis is a great dfs experience and I think with it will become more popular without the time difference (e.g. for US Open)!

Why the heck do you have to apply for a new license just for summer league? Shouldn’t it fall under NBA?

Daily fantasy sports regulations differ from state to state. In this instance, paid NBA summer league contests are not permitted in New York. We’re hopeful you’ll be able to play in paid summer league contests in the future.

The gpp contests at DK are so massive that your lineup might have to flirt with 130 points to safely min cash. I actually liked DK’s pricing in the past, but something happened this season.

While we do understand the point of your post, we think bigez952 summed up our thoughts rather well. Our pricing can change as the season evolves, it is part of the skill factor of the game.

I believe this suggestion was made on one of the earlier pages but can we get the global player swap through the app updated

We can assure you that every post is read and noted. We cannot comment on feature requests other than to say your point has been heard. We get how the lack of definitive answer can be frustrating. Our goal is to straddle the middle, let you know your voice has been heard, but we cannot provide any further details unless the feature is someday implemented. We thank you for your understanding.

Is there a schedule for when DK is offering their 25c Mini-Max tournaments?

For which sport are you asking? Each sport is different.

If your question is about MLB, we do not offer $.25 mini-MAX games in this sport due to our Major League Achievements. We offered a $.25 mini-MAX once when we launched the Player First Initiative as the inaugural mini-MAX contest for MLB, but that was a one time special situation.

Last week was July 4th when we offered the very large $3/$100K, this contest required all of our focus and energy to promote. We cannot offer both a $3/$100K and a mini-MAX at the same time, the two contests share from a similar lower stakes liquidity pool. mini-MAX is a secondary game format that appeals to a much smaller group of users compared to the $3/100K.

Once NASCAR salaries are ready, we intend to post a $.25 mini-MAX this week featuring a $10K guarantee. We think the guarantee increase will help solve the prior problem where the contests were filling too quickly when the guarantee was set at $7K. We used this same structure on 7/1 with success, but we will continue to monitor and adjust. We made this adjustment based on Dbull’s comment when he said:

“I just wonder if DK will ever change the mini max for Nascar. It has filled the night before the race every single week since it has started. I think it needs to either go up to .50 or a $1 or just increase the entries so it can have a higher pay structure. It clearly is popular.”

We agreed with his opinion that the entries needed to increase, this allowed us to solve the problem while keeping the entry fee price the same. We did not intend to mislead you, our comments did not say we would increase the price of the entry fees. Our quote: “This is a good sign that one of your suggestions will come to fruition.” ← and this is became true on 7/1 when we increased the size of the prize pool. The higher prize pool is due to the increase in entries as he suggested, and we are happy to report that it appears to have solved the problem Dbulls described.

I would like to know when you are paying out for last night’s Summer League games. This isn’t tennis guys, the games ended over eight hours ago!

A few nights ago the NBA had trouble producing an official final box score for that evening’s Bucks vs. Pistons NBA Summer League game. We had to hold Summer League payouts until we could confirm via our stats provider that match official NBA scoring for all of that night’s games. The problem was solved once NBA provided official final box scores the following day.

Anybody else notice a change on the DK desktop site? When you’re in the lobby with any sport selected, the “contest types” filter on the left no longer has “tournament” as a option to select. It’s been replaced by “single & limited entry”

Good catch! You are witnessing one of our live interface change tests. We make small changes like this frequently and then review the user experience. This frequently happens quietly in the background without much fanfare to allow us to capture unbiased user experience data. DraftKings is always evolving as we learn from user behavior. Of course not all changes benefit all users, but we do aim to have impact for the majority.

The $6 Big GPP is great today. Much more attainable for the mid stakes player to play than the $8 when you are putting in 50+ entries

Thank you. We know that some players such as yourself would like this, we offered a bigger prize pool and a bigger top prize for 1st on Monday. Generally speaking we reserve the $6 entry fee contest for when we are swinging for the fences with a big offering, our standard contest entry fee at this price point is $8. This prince point helps us to balance our offerings across a greater spectrum of contest entry fee sizes to appeal to the widest range of customer needs. As always, we will continue to review and tweak over time.

Do you know for which tournaments you will offer tennis contests in future? Only Grand Slams or more? So far tennis is a great dfs experience and I think with it will become more popular without the time difference (e.g. for US Open)!

We cannot comment on which tournaments we will offer in advance, but we can assure you that we intend to offer more than just Grand Slams!

What is DraftKings strategy with a niche sport like CFL? To me, it should be to try to grow the sport. But for 3 years in a row now, DraftKings has done the exact opposite.

The last 3 weeks we have seen the main GPP decline from $15k to $10k to $6k despite ZERO overlay. Did you get max rake? No. But that should not be the goal/strategy with a niche sport.

At relatively low guarantees, customers looking to play your contests are VERY price sensitive. At $15k (with $3k to first) I put in 8 entries. At $10k (with $1k to first) I put in 5 entries. At $6k, I may put in 3 entries or not even bother. By lowering the guarantee you are creating a cycle were players continue to reduce their entries or not play. Newer players will just look at it and walk away. All you are doing is pushing people who might play or give the sport a shot away.

Eventually you end up with weekly contests of $2-3k like you did the last two years. Even if you get max rake, you are making less raw dollars than when you got 5% rake on $15k. The current strategy is baffling.

  • dbullsfan

thanks for the response. For myself and I’m sure many others in the Nascar DFS community the biggest frustration with the mini-max last week was the lack there of in one of the biggest races of the year. I do appreciate bumping it up to 10K guaranteed I think that is a good change.

Do they run .25 MiniMax’s for MLB anymore?

  • kantiger77

I would like to know if you’re ever going to consistently bring back dime contests. Would also love to know if there is going to be any effort to reintroduce college sports again in states that allow it, which most still do. The landscape changed recently so I hope sites wade back into it.
