It’s in the first DK response on this page at the bottom. It’s for “differentiation” apparently…

Well last page near the top where DK first responded.

We responded to your question 2 days ago. We have pasted it below to save you some time.

When Weekend PGA was launched, we excluded finishing position to prevent artificial ownership inflation for certain golfers, ensuring the best user experience possible. When we launched Showdown, we added finishing position bonuses exclusively for Round 4 in order to differentiate the offering from Rounds 1-3.

Now that we are running both offerings consistently each week, we decided to keep the Weekend PGA scoring that users were historically accustomed to. This differentiates Weekend PGA from Showdown as two very different game modes with very different strategies. Our users have a spectrum of different preferences so we want to offer a variety of contests with something for everyone.

Damn i’m blind. So you excluded it to prevent artificial ownership inflation on weekend contests but added it to 4th round to differentiate aka create artificial ownership inflation that isn’t present in rounds 1, 2 and 3? H2H 4th round showdowns just become everyone with the same 3-4 core golfers so you are basically playing a H2H with just 2-3 golfers in most cases. Prices don’t even adjust for guys leading the tournament so someone who was $6900 in round 1 is typically still at that price for round 4 even while in first place.

There are 184 MLB gamedays remaining this season. In theory, you can miss up to 4 days and still hit the 180.

We are unsure of what your discussing, please contact support@draftkings.com so we can get the additional information necessary to review your account.

Thank you for answering both questions.

Silver Rewards there is only one (1) $.25 ticket this month (April). It looks like there are more $.10 tickets instead of the $.25 tickets, but $.10 tickets are only good for satellites to possibly a contest one might not want to play vs. being able to pick a GPP to enter for $.25 which is a much better deal, IMO.

    I sent an email also.

Are the calendar of rewards the same across the board for all silvers….all golds?

it really pissed me off to find out when missions started that they were not the same. I am pretty sure they were not the same for people that qualified for the like free tourney’s each month. On some days I want to play a higher gpp and on other days just dabble and toss in a quarter.

I think the whole rewards system is not explained at all. The requirements to receive what mission has got to be programmed. So why isnt those parameters listed out. I am not a lawyer but I have felt for a long time these rewards are open to discrimination/favoritism. I am not saying that betting more and getting better rewards is bad. I dont understand what conditions will maximize my rewards. When I ask others and get comparisons…..I think something smells bad.

Couldn’t comment on gold as I’m silver and have been last couple of months, that is why I noticed the change. There used to be multiple $.25 tickets handed out per month. Now there is one (1) $.25 ticket slotted to be handed out in April – same amount as Bronze. Any other ticket icons are now for $.10 tickets. Maybe some of the ‘Hidden Rewards’ will be $.25 tickets to make up for it, but usually they’re 5-10-20 crowns.

Again, this is silver and compared to last few months. Just looked at Gold, looks like they have $.10 tickets too, even Platinum. Odd….

Yuck! I had to do a double take to see what you were talking about. First day for gold this month was a $0.25 ticket so I thought all was groovy. I don’t mind playing the $0.10 satty’s but you should have at least some option to play a contest with it. I’m sure the “hidden” days will make up for it and I wonder if crowns are “rewards” less often with all the other achievements rolled out.

Actually now that I think about it, I feel like these next 3 months will have “artificial” tiers because so many will “jump” up tiers from Ironman in both NHL & NBA. If that’s the case it doesn’t seem fair but at the same time we aren’t pumping in the volume “actual” platinum or diamond players are. At the end of the day I’m just happy with the crowns I will get from playing NHL & NBA every day.

And you best believe the “higher” tiers are upset with $0.10 tickets. Most didn’t even bother with $0.25 entries from what I gathered!

I’m pretty bummed myself that I didn’t see the MLB 25k achievement until yesterday, so no way I can hit the 180 days played unfortunately.
I’ll probably get the PGA one, though that is only 2k crowns vs 25k!

Your sizing is horrendous for $4 contests this season in MLB. Not even remotely close to what it could be. Every day I sign on hopeful there will be something decent to join and about 75% of the time I’m disappointed this season. The season is long with over 250 slates. What makes you think everyone wants to put in a bunch of $15 lineups everyday, especially in the sport with the most randomness?

  • Vanco

Every slate since opening day has been $1.00 150 entry minimax. There hasn’t been a significant solo shot yet and I’m not interested in playing for a $100 top prize in the multiple small ones that get added through the day. Today is even worse with 4 game slates and 150 max. There is big NBA 20 max and-one every day. Minimax was supposed to be an occasional offering. When can we expect a substantial solo shot?

  • JaBr

So, no comment on replacing $.25 tickets with $.10 BS Satellite tickets?

  • Vanco

And another $1 minimax for tomorrow April 5 for 40k with 3k to first and a 3k solo shot with 150 bucks to first.

Well, Hidden Rewards not making up for any lost $.25 tickets today. (5 crowns)
    Maybe next week.

Can you explain why there are now suddenly $0.10 tickets in the Platinum rewards? I’ve mentioned this before, but I doubt many who earn Platinum rewards play in quarter contests, much less dime contests. Why not just give out 55 Crowns (equivalent to 10 cents), which we can at least accumulate to buy larger contest tickets?

There was a tip a while back that if you message support they will change any ticket rewards you get into crowns if you’d rather have that versus cheap tickets.

Thanks – I did that – they said they did that for me as a “one time accommodation.” I still don’t get the reason for giving out $0.10 tickets for Platinum rewards.

Not sure if this new or going to become a regular thing but there is a $.10 contest today in MLB that’s not a satellite. It’s the MLB $100 Dime Time.

That’s cool and all, but I don’t personally want to play MLB. If they’re going to offer $.10 contests for all sports, then that’s something. Either way, it is still dropping from $.25 tickets to $.10 tickets and what is the reasoning for that? Did DK feel they were giving too much away to people or something?

EDIT – looks like like they may be doing $.10 GPP’s for all sports as there’s a Tennis and Soccer one up as well. The contests all appear to be 1189 contests max, so of course the MLB filled up and isn’t available.

EDIT 2 – I’m blind, MLB is still open, but not for long. I’d imagine they’ll create another as well since they fill up quick.

  • lpdev

What is the point with the hidden rewards on the daily rewards calendar? “Hidden rewards aren’t revealed until you log in on that day. They could be anything, so make sure you don’t miss them.” It sounds exciting but I’ve never seen anything interesting in one. Just tickets, DK dollars, and crowns like all the other days.

*I initially thought when the new rewards system was released that you might see some swag or unique things pop up.

We intentionally provide a variety of contest options for different contest preferences. Pricing and scoring are intentionally different, because they are very different game formats.

This week was the debut of our latest PGA contest type, Late-Round Golf. Late-Round Golf is the same game as our single-round Showdown option except we will only include golfers teeing off in the afternoon. The contests will start later in the day, at the earliest tee time of the golfers included in the contest. The scoring for Late Round Golf is as follows:

Double Eagle or Better: +16 Pts
    Eagle: +11 Pts
    Birdie: +5.75 Pts
    Par: +1.5 Pts
    Bogey: -1.8 Pts
    Double Bogey: -3.9 Pt
Worse than Double Bogey: -3.9 Pt

We also have the following steaks and bonuses points – Streak of 3 Birdies or Better {Max 1 Per Round}: +5 Pts
    Bogey Free Round: +5 Pts
    Hole in One: +5 Pts

Check out our PGA Showdown $2K Best Ball (Late Round 2) here: https://www.draftkings.com/draft/contest/71070022

We are in a constant process of evolving our rewards program to achieve our goal of keeping players active and engaged within the DraftKings ecosystem. This month, we decided to break up rewards to encourage use in different ways by promoting entries into key $.10 satellite tickets for tiers Bronze through Platinum (each at different frequencies). If you do not wish to use the $.10 ticket you earned, our Support team will be happy to convert the ticket into equivalent DK Dollar value for you to spend however you choose.

We are increasing our options with $.10 satellites this month, thus providing more opportunities to use these tickets – but we still hear your voices and understand that you wish for an alternative. Would you prefer to claim crowns instead in the future instead of a $.10 ticket? As a reminder, you are now able to use crowns in ways they’ve never been utilized before by spending your crowns to enter into any contest you wish.

The rewards calendar for all customers is the same experience for each status tier level. A player at the Gold tier will therefore have the same Daily Rewards offered as all other players at the Gold tier. https://www.draftkings.com/lp/daily-rewards

Missions are unique to every player’s personal journey. They are intended to encourage users to reach new levels of engagement, and are therefore based on your recent contest choices and activity as an incentive reward for achieving new heights (measured in entry fee spend or contest type participation, not winnings). For example, the daily missions for a single-entry player who plays entries in the $25-$50 range at the Silver rewards tier would look different than the daily rewards for multi-entry player who only enters mini-MAX contests $1 or less for 150 entries – yet is also in the Silver rewards tier.

Has anyone else not had their NBA Weekly Hoops Hero achievement update? I am still showing 24/26 weeks played.

If you ever have questions about achievement updates, please email support@draftkings.com so we can look into the details of your specific situation. We assume you were already credited, but if you were not – please let us know.
