Just a general statement for future consideration, as it will definitely be a headache for DraftKings if this was a Cup race.

Ross Chastain “won” the Truck race today before being disqualified by post race inspection rendering him to 32nd officially and moving everybody up a spot making Brett Moffitt the winner. Because Chastain has so many “bonus points” I doubt it would’ve shook up the final standings much or at all but the “bonus point” factor will not always be there in a future hypothetical scenario. 2019 Nascar rules have the top 3 drivers inspected “immediately” after the race, so the “official” outcome should be known within hours of the event. I suggest waiting to finalize the contest until inspection is complete. Nascar updates the status of the podium on social media weekly.

No outrage, I’d probably lose money if it was reset, just hoping this doesn’t sting in the future

It’s 10 pm here in the east. Have you not updated PGA Achievements from yesterday ? I finally got some more 6 of 6 making the cut. Haven’t been credited. Thanks.

Simmer down man the tournament hadn’t even been over an hour.

Just noticed today when checking my ‘MLB Achievements’ there is now a ‘HR-Hunt’ tab….When was this implemented? Today? Yesterday? As its the first I am noticing it.

It was added this afternoon, nice to have some additional crowns to chase now that my baseball interest is starting to disappear.

Thanks for the response, baseball is one of my better sports(even though I am low level player) So looking forward to that. I find it though they only have that window open for 20 days with 30 teams so have to get creative with the stacks if your a single lineup player

  • webbm1

I like the new MLB Home Run Achievement/Rewards promo but is there any way of finding out how many crowns you can win? Like sure 1.5k for getting all 30 but then seems like also get 5 crowns for the first home run from each team aswell, like can we see all the milestones not just the first one. Like it says on the promo bit 30 teams, 30 dingers, one big bonus.

1.5k is less than 3 dollars and 5 crowns is like pennies. Sure its going to multiply the more you get but would just be good to see upfront.

  • tipperi

Really just wanted to drop in say how much I am enjoying Micro Millions week. There have been a few really fun contests with some creative ideas with the bonus tickets and the large entry triple up. Would love to see more of these. Great job on this promo.

For all those asking about Baltimore in a Showdown to reach all 30 ballparks, Boston @ Baltimore on Friday 6/14.

Are there any other parks you guys and gals need to fill your Achievements? Let us know – lets see what we can do to help :-)

Well I guess you are not taking full responsibility by running this same 18th and 19th hole 150k guaranteed contests. These contests are the absolute worst.

A different legacy contest template was unintentionally used, which we have since removed from rotation (as we did with the template the last time this topic was discussed a few weeks ago). Its theoretically possible that this could happen again in the future, we have tens of thousands of contest templates that we are working to retire. This is a big project, occasionally one sneaks through the spot checks. In this situation a similar template snuck through back to back – not ideal, but we own it when the contest structure we intended to offer is posted differently than we planned.

Your topic brings up an interesting point to be reviewed. Both the 18th and 19th Hole filled more than 60 mins before lock. We accept that you did not like the contest, and it is not the structure we intended to offer, yet there were 19,090 entries from players who wanted to play this contest with the unintended structure. This is a good example of how players do not always look for the same contest characteristics when choosing which to enter. It is the reason why we aim to have a mix of multiple different contest types that appeal to all player types. Many players what sharp payouts to first, some players want flat payouts – our job is to provide for everyone, efficiently, in a way that corresponds to the equivalent demand.

Any chance we could get batting order information for quickswap on the app?

This is a great suggestion and was well received. It is an ideal that would be unrealistic for this season, yet it is something we will consider for the future as we continue development improvements on the DK user interface, provided that we do not find any issues that required a logistical work around from our data providers.

As appears on our NASCAR rules page under the “Scoring Notes” section:

“Finishing Position is defined as the driver’s standing order at the end of the race. Disqualifications related to same-day post-race inspection will not change a driver’s Finishing Position, Laps Led, or Fastest Laps stats.”

You can visit the full Rules and Scoring page here: https://www.draftkings.com/help/rules/10

This policy was included in our rules since NASCAR announced the post-race inspection policy for 2019, just days before the Daytona 500. The policy matches what the DraftKings Sportsbook side of our operation does, it assures consistency across DraftKings DFS & Sportsbook products.

your saying overall rake hasnt changed, this response is beyond misleading, not sure why you need to mislead. You have certainly increased rake in large tourneys over the years and yes since 2017. Obv thats what most people play. Saying overall rake is the same is not being transparent at all.

We don’t understand why some people insist on making this claim although all the evidence supports the fact that we have not increased the max commission since 2017. In fact, If DraftKings offers a contest that does not comply with this page, we promise to refund the difference between actual commission and maximum commission to every user in that contest https://www.draftkings.com/lp/commission-structure

Just noticed today when checking my ‘MLB Achievements’ there is now a ‘HR-Hunt’ tab….When was this implemented? Today? Yesterday? As its the first I am noticing it.

The MLB HR Hunt launched on Monday, June 17th and will run through Sunday, July 7th. You can learn more about the MLB HR Hunt by visiting the FAQs page here: https://www.draftkings.com/achievements-faq#mlb

nice to have some additional crowns to chase now that my baseball interest is starting to disappear.

I think it is because most people don’t know how to calculate rake and when people talk about it being 15.9% but they come up with 18-20% from their miscalculation they think everyone is missing a massive rake hike that didn’t occur.

Maybe there needs a be a class on how to properly calculate rake so at the very least everyone is on the same page and does it the same lol.

On the subject of the ballpark tour achievement, I’m not seeing a lot of variety in the ballparks offered. For example, I am at 14, and there are three showdowns today, all of which are in parks I have.

As I look at the list of teams, I don’t believe I have ever even seen showdowns for games in Miami, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, to name a few.

Brainstorming crazy ideas here. What about a feature that allows for pulling out of a contest and getting a percentage refund…. kind of like insurance in blackjack. No idea how or if it would work but it could be neat.

Imagine being able to get a 5% refund on your entry if it looks like a bust. You risk losing any money you would get if you did make the cash line. It would be super hard to determine what percentage you would get back but maybe it could be based on the remaining time left compared to the cash line.

Thank you for sharing your opinion bigez952, you may be right. Also we find that some people rely on third party browser extensions which sometimes inaccurately calculate commissions. Commissions cannot be calculated for a GPP until it is filled, because the amount depends on how many entrants there are. When there is an overlay, we receive zero commission.

Note we use the word commission rather than rake in this post (and this entire thread). Rake would be a fixed amount that comes out of the player’s entry fee like it does in a poker tournament, regardless of the number of entrants. In poker it doesn’t matter if just 10 people or 10,000 players show up – the rake for the guaranteed tournament is always taken from the player’s entry fee. We do not use Rake at DraftKings, instead the commission % is built into the entree fee pool if the contest is filled. The fewer entrants there are in our GPPs, the lower the commission becomes. That’s also the reason why we utilize a ‘max commission” schedule rather than a fixed commission schedule.

How about a change to the way we can complete missions. It would be nice to enter a $4 dollar tourney three times and unlock the $12 dollar mission.

Missions are intended to encourage our customers to play in contests they may not normally participate in. We use advanced logic for the mission to expand the user’s playing experience if they choose to participate. For that reason your idea is less likely to be incorporated, yet we still greatly appreciate your suggestion and we will pass it along to make sure your voice is heard.

We agree this is a neat idea, but it may not be feasible due to regulations. We DO offer what you are suggesting in the DraftKings Sportsbook (currently in NJ, with more states to come). Cash Out is a new Sportsbopok feature that gives you the opportunity to close out your active bet before the outcome is decided. This allows you to secure part of your winnings or cut your losses as the odds change in or against your favor.

DraftKings rallied public support for the bill, with our “Let Tennessee bet” website. Without legislation, money would continue to “low to illegal offshore bookies instead of staying in Tennessee as a revenue source. We applaud the great State of Tennessee, in time we will make our future intentions known.

Have you considered a better way to get more players involved in the MLB? The current scoring is obviously flawed. To put things into perspective the Mlb has been offering millions of dollars if you can get any players you want to safely hit 57 games in a row for like 17 years. With NO winner.

What that means is that there are many 0’s during that time. Just a thought but how about more points for other intangibles like in soccer. Things like gidp should minus a player or hits with 2 outs should help out a not hr hitter.

After today, I’ll need BOS, TOR, CHW, DET, KC, HOU, OAK, PHI, WAS, NYM, MIA, PIT, SD.

I see there are six day games today, yet only one is offered in a showdown. There is also nine night games and only one offered for those as well. So, a bigger selection of showdown games would be awesome.

Something I’d like to see is NL pitchers getting credit for their AB’s. In NHL a goalie can get credit for an Assist. In NFL defense can score a TD, a receiver or RB can throw a TD pass. Yet, in MLB your pitcher hits a homer and nothing.

Only the NL allows hitter to hit, so other half of the pitching pool being ineligible to score offensive stats would create an imbalance.

They could theoretically allow you to pick a pitcher “as a hitter”. Most sites, it not all, force you choose between Ohtani as a hitter or pitcher, although he’ll almost never hit and pitch in a same game.

Good point. That could easily be factored into pricing.

We are in a constant cycle of re-evaluating and revising our scoring system. You have our commitment to will continue exploring solutions for new scoring categories across all sports, including MLB.

With that said, hits with 2 outs for a “not HR hitter” is a subjective POV – many people view zeros earned by pitchers to be part of the game. Some non-HR hitters go on hot streaks and hit multiple HRs in one day, some of the game’s most well-known sluggers go on uncharacteristically cold streaks without HRs. Additionally, some hitters develop into “HR hitters” over the course of a season. Establishing the threshold for who is and who isn’t a “HR hitter” may result in a poor user experience if one HR hitter doesn’t meet expectations or non-HR hitters exceed expectations. We care about the user experience that would appeal to the widest group of players, your suggestion is good yet we think it would not appeal to the majority based on our prior research.

After today, I’ll need BOS, TOR, CHW, DET, KC, HOU, OAK, PHI, WAS, NYM, MIA, PIT, SD.

Be on the lookout for our Rare Ballpark focus after the All-Star break, we think that will help!

This is something we definitely have considered! In the past we decided to pass on this idea because research showed it could be a divisive user experience to factor a pitcher’s potential offensive stats (see below for more details).

Hitting stats would be limited to pitchers in NL ballparks, which would heavily influence the ownership, and eventually, pricing of pitchers on each slate. With that said, its on our radar and certainly something we will revisit in the future as player expectations evolve.

Only the NL allows hitter to hit, so other half of the pitching pool being ineligible to score offensive stats would create an imbalance.

    THIS ^^^^^

Good point. That could easily be factored into pricing.

And in turn create confusion, which results in a poor user experience. For the time being we will likely pass on this suggestion, but we will continue to gauge the temperature of the MLP player community for the potential to evolve as the years march on.

We’ve reached a crossroads and need your help.

It has been about 4 months since we launched our new Lineups page for DFS, with continued support for the ‘legacy’ version of the page by clicking “Switch to Old Layout”.

Retiring the old layout allows us to widen our scope for future improvements to the user interface, while expediting timelines for rolling out updates.

We are ready to move on from the legacy My Lineups page, to keep our focus on the new Lineups page redesign – the question is are you? If you think we should maintain the legacy My Lineups page, let us know why – please be as explicit as possible so we understand your point of view. This is your last chance to have your voice heard before the legacy page is deleted, please let us know your thoughts ASAP!
