I like how DK changed the rules last minute for the PGA Cut Maker achievement so that No Cut events are NOT counted. I did hear that they are allowing the Bacherlor and Bachorlette to keep their crowns though!
At least I have one less sport that I will play this year!!

Oh yeah, Make it Reign – the answer for all of their problems!!

I will have to say that as much as I defend DK this one really irritated me as well. I read through all of the terms and conditions for the PGA achievements and decided to be dumb and chase the 7,025 crowns for an extra month of Platinum status. I ended up putting in 125 lineups into this past weekend’s event only to find out Thursday morning that the “(No Cut Event’s Excluded)” was added to the terms. Of course since all of my contests were full I wasn’t allowed to WD anymore.

It is listed clear as day in the terms so there is no way I would have missed that early in the week when I looked them to decide how many entries I was going to play for the week. I did hear through the grapevine that DK refunded entries for the people that reached out and complained about this change on Thursday. I didn’t do that as at the end of the day I still made the decision to enter the contests that I did even though I ended up losing more than the entire achievement is worth on the opening weekend and got no credit for it. That part is irritating but I will live with it.

The user who won the nfl playoff millionaire, “jaderoper” very obviously colluded with her husband in order to get around the 150 max entry limit. What actions or investigations are you taking on this?

    https://twitter.com/williambierman/status/1214015801721868288?s=21

DK, you guys should withhold the $1M from jaderoper, refund their entry fees for the week and at least a one year ban from DFS contests on the site. This is a civil issue so circumstantial evidence is enough to justify this decision as it’s not a criminal case that needs to be proved beyond a reasonable doubt. After reading these forums and hearing a lot of the industry commentary I think there is a clear consensus among your high volume customers that these two need to be made an example of in order to show that there are consequences for playing multiple accounts to circumvent the 150 limit which is especially impactful on short slates. I play about $100,000 in DK entries a year, and I know that’s not much compared to others, but if DK pays out this $1 million to the users that violated the community guidelines and TOS I will take all my play to other DFS sites and recommend to others to do the same.

Hey guys, we already have a thread concerning the Draftkings Millionaire Maker Issue. Please continue the conversation there. I’m confident the Draftkings team has their eyes on it.

Will the NHL All Star Game count towards achievements? In particular, will the goals scored during that game count towards the Lamplighter achievement?

    Is mma going to showdown?

Why did I have a onlinebanking deposit option for about a week now it’s gone?

Will there be DK nascar rewards?

I am interested in possibly buying some stock when you go public.Any idea what the public start up price might be?

The transaction is expected to officially close in Q2 2020, at which time DraftKings will be publicly traded.

I’ve always wondered – can I use crowns to do daily mission? There’s always that “play in any 1 dollar plus contests” daily mission.
Yes. What I usually do is use them to buy a ticket in the contest amount first. Then use it to get mission. But probably works just entering crown s.

Yes, you can satisfy your Daily Mission by using your crowns. You may buy a ticket into the contest using your crowns, as joephoto suggested, or you can enter contests directly using your crowns, when eligible.

We want to remind everyone that what you see today is only a portion of the whole PGA Achievements picture. We choose to launch a select group of five achievements in January, with our full slate of Achievements to be revealed in time for the Masters. We’re excited to share what we have in store for you all.

We often emphasize how demand drives supply in the DFS ecosystem, and based on the popularity of the first version of the Achievements program last year, we expanded the number of PGA Achievements offered. As a result of the increased number of achievements we intend to offer, some adjustments were made. For example, we changed the Cut Maker to exclude non-cut events. This allows us to re-distribute value across the rest of the program with new achievements, such as the new Fantasy Golf Ironman!

I like how DK changed the rules last minute for the PGA Cut Maker achievement so that No Cut events are NOT counted.

There were no changes made to our 2020 PGA Achievements program since the program was launched. Early user feedback expressed confusion for the initial text that players “had to make the cut”, so we added the language that specified “No Cut Events Excluded” to provide greater clarity.

Tennis achievements look great, thanks for that! Looks like the contests are slowly growing..

Will the NHL All Star Game count towards achievements? In particular, will the goals scored during that game count towards the Lamplighter achievement?

The NHL All-Star Game did count towards NHL Achievements, including the Lamplighter!

    Is mma going to showdown?

At this time, we do not have any plans in place to offer a Showdown variant for MMA. Perhaps this could be feasible in the future, but only time will tell. In the meantime, we will continue to monitor and evaluate for additional opportunities within the sport.

Why did I have a onlinebanking deposit option for about a week now it’s gone?

As we launch new product features, we often start by performing an A/B experiment with small groups of users, you must have been one of the few to be included in the first round of testing.

This is the same experiment process we’ve followed for features such as the new My Lineups Page on web last year, and the new App Lobby on mobile.

If we identify changes to be made before we can increase the size of the players exposed within the A/B test, we turn the experiment off & address as needed. This cycle is then repeated until the feature is ready to be made available to all users. Our intention is to test & adjust until we get it right, and we will continue to do so until the feature is ready for a full roll-out.

Any update on a timeline where New York players will be able to play non-Grand Slam events?

At this time, the future is unclear.

Will there be DK nascar rewards?

We have not made any announcements at this time, but we do look forward to the continued expansion of our rewards programs into additional sports in the future.

Hello DKCT, I have a question about yesterday’s NHL contests. My turbo entries are scored already, but not the full day slates (which started earlier). Is there a problem with one of the games?

We are currently in touch with our stat provider working to verify a stat discrepancy from last night’s contests. As soon as we have this verified, we will have your contests scored & paid out accordingly.

This is about John Gibson being awarded a blocked shot. How long does it take to verify if a blocked shot can be awarded to a goalie? A goalie who was around 4% owned and the 2nd lowest scoring goalie on the slate

My top lineup’s goalie, Marcus Hogberg, had 50 blocked shots yesterday. But usually we just call them saves…

If this remains to be the case, please contact our Customer Support team at support@draftkings.com and describe what you’re experiencing. Our DFS agents are standing by to provide guidance as needed.

DK Please tell me how a goalie gets a blocked shot. Those are called saves. Dont blindly blame the stat provider either – Take some accountability for this one.

Our scoring process is directly tied with the metrics provided to us by our 3rd party stat provider and reconciled with the NHL. If and when stat corrections are made by our 3rd party provider, they are first vetted and approved with the NHL. However, we understand that when stat corrections aren’t made before our contests are scored & paid out, it can be a frustrating experience for our users. Unfortunately, these timelines are not always aligned.

With that said, our intent is do right by our users. Though we could not deduct the points for the blocked shot credited to Gibson, we credited all the users who would’ve benefited if we did.

Thanks for the response but it would have been way clearer if you didn’t specifically state in the terms that it was for the events starting on 1/2/20. That event was a no cut event so if it didn’t count including that date as the start date for that promo is super misleading so I can see why the need to add more clarification was needed as I was shocked to see that note added in Wednesday after I had already put in my entries. The values of the cut maker are also really low which was the other thing that made me believe it was due to everyone loading up on the no cut events. 2000 6/6 lineups when you exclude the 6 or 7 no cut events is an insane achievement to hit. On an average week 6/6 % is around 10% so to hit that number your going to need to play approximately 20,000 lineups. It is the equivalent of hitting 1,000,000 birdies but only worth an extra 1000 crowns so out of my ability to get.

EDIT: The wrong portion of the original post got quoted. I was trying to quote the response from my question a few weeks ago. Below is what I was trying to quote.

bigez952, I believe DKs reasoning for adding the statement was to clarify the misunderstanding you and probably many other users had. The achievement is credited for you going 6/6. The achievement specifically says when all your players make the cut, well in a no-cut event there is no cut so you can’t technically add to that achievement. Even though everyone went 6/6 the fact still remains that in order to make the cut a cut had to exist, which it obviously didn’t. DK didn’t change the rules on us, rather clarified the misunderstanding in place.

    Let’s talk XFL.

Last night at 7PM, we posted our first ever XFL contests! We intentionally did not post the Featured XFL contest at the time, we wanted to gauge how players would respond first.

This afternoon, we took down all of the previously posted XFL contests, so we could replace them with new roster positions. We think this last minute change will make everyone very happy!

You can find a full breakdown of the updated roster positions via our XFL Contest Rules found at https://www.draftkings.com/help/rules/18.

If you already entered into one of the XFL contests that we took down, don’t worry – we got you covered. We have refunded your entry fees, and credited your account with a $10 ticket to play in our largest XFL contest next weekend! This contest will be posted in the next few days, anyone who receives this ticket will be notified when the contest is posted.

This was a special opportunity for us to make sure the launch of XFL is well received by all, we hope everyone supports our decision and appreciates our giveback to the players who showed their immediate support. If you have any questions, please let us know – we want to see XFL DFS succeed as much as you do!.

Are we really not getting XFL offerings in New York? Seems like that’s going to bode well for future contests and the league in general when gambling on it is restricted lol

  • SkateFiend

It looks like DK now let you edit your lineup after a single click of the “update entry” button. In the past you had to click another confirm button for the edit to go through. That used to annoy me because sometimes I would forget to click the final button and the change wouldn’t go through. Well done.

Isn’t that a New York problem and not DraftKings in that they wrote up some language not allowing new types of contests to be offered without going through another round of government approvals?

Yeah I’d imagine it’s mainly New York at fault here. Just seems like there had to have been some period of time in which DK could’ve at least gotten the process started up so it’d be ready for the season

The problem is that New York is dumb and charges insane fees to refile and add on sports. XFL might not even last more than a season and won’t be huge to start with so probably isn’t worth it to DraftKings to spend $50,000 to $100,000 trying to get it added.
