    I went ahead and decided to edit my entire post…

    I thought the email I received from DraftKings indicated a site-wide solution they were offering. Instead, the email I received from support (which many of you have probably seen pasted on here, and on other areas of the forum), was specific to my email to them only (same for others who sent them an email regarding their specific situation).

    Sorry for the contributions I made to the confusion.

    I guess let’s all just kick back and see how this whole thing plays out!

    Quite frankly that is BEYOND “pretty good” when you consider the financial impact. This is the epitome of service that I suspect will be lost on a great number of their users. You will not likely ever see a more significant gesture across any industry. And I am NOT a DK apologist by any means

    This is extremely generous. It was really this or refund and cancel all. I’m actually surprised they went with this move as that has to be a large financial impact. Good resolution for users.

    I had ~100 entries in the Thursday games and used place holder lineups because I wasn’t using anyone from the Thursday game. I wasn’t able to make all my lineups this morning and was forced to enter lineups 10+ in the same gpp. Am I getting a refund?

    I emailed DK support stating my concern a few hours ago and never received that automated message. Has anyone else contacted them and not heard back?

    I received the same email as JMToWin. Honestly, my email complaint was about the 4PM contests being cancelled. Instead of messing with my millionaire maker lineup and determining my late swaps I struggled to get a lineup into the 4PM $27 contest. I actually deposited in order to do that. Then out of nowhere they cancel my guaranteed 4PM contests but not my 1PM contests. That is what made me mad. At this point I see my 4PM team would have sucked anyways. If DK doesn’t refund me anything I wouldn’t be mad. I’m just curious what their official answer is. The email I received said they would refund everything but then on Twitter they said case by case basis. I just don’t like the idea that they get to cancel my 4PM guaranteed contests but I’m stuck with the 1PM contests. In my eyes both had the same issues.

    What about thursday games that included all 1 pm and 4 pm games?

    Regarding point 2, this is a multi-million dollar decision for DK. Because of what happened to their site – which many consider to have been something that was not even DK’s fault, or in DK’s control – they are returning your money if you did not place in the money this week. If you win money, you get to keep that money. If you lose money, you end up not actually losing that money.

    To boil it down to its core: The entire site is a freeroll this week for Sunday 1 p.m. games.

    Does it suck that hours were spent doing research for teams you were ultimately unable to enter? Of course. But seriously, this is a huge decision DK is making to return buy-ins for everyone who did not finish in the money. None of us wanted this to happen. They didn’t want this to happen. It happened. Oh well. They’re fixing this problem in a truly unbelievable manner – a manner that should be making us all even more loyal to DK.

    Let’s all just enjoy the site-wide freeroll and get back to the grind next week!

    I have not seen this mentioned anywhere but this thread. Seems questionable until somebody from DK signs off on it. Also doesn’t address the Thursday starting games which had the same problems as the Sunday 1 pm starts.

    Yeah this thread is super-misleading unless there is confirmation somewhere else about being auto-refunded.

    I agree I keep hearing that if you don’t win you will be refunded but I have yet to see a single person from DK confirming that. I need to know which is the case so I don’t miss my chance at a refund if I have to email them.

    No email here.

    Did you email them first? Seems strange that they would refund non-winning and not just everything if you emailed them about issues.

    I just want to clarify that what you’re receiving is not an auto-response. Our customer support team is not automated and your tickets are being responded to in real time. Obviously many people are encountering the same issue so they’re receiving the same pre-authorized response assuming it fits their issues.

    4pm contests were canceled at approximately 3:40PM. The transactions accompanying the cancelation did not take place until shortly after 4PM but the decision had already been put into motion long before the first snap unlike the 1PM games that were essentially unaffected despite the downtime from 11am-noon EST.

    Our protocol is to make a decision 30 minutes before start time whether to roll with the contests or cancel based on what % of the user base is impacted by the downtime.

    We are still and have always been addressing users on a case by case basis. The vast majority of DK users were unaffected by the downtime or only had issues getting their live scoring.

    I received an email from DK that I will receive a refund for the 1pm game, is this not true? The site was down before the start time and it messed up my lineups because i couldn’t save my changes

    Fatal error thank you for your responses. I was on site around 11:45 est and was having difficulty changing a lineup. I had a few changes i wanted to make and got the error message. By no means do i want to be refunded for all my 14 lineups but would like to be refunded for three this affected. When they say case by case are they going to take the time with each individual or just refund the affected for all the lineups that do not cash?
