I live in FL and the past few days when trying to make a deposit using my PayPal account on DraftKings it gets declined. I have been playing DFS for over a year and never had a problem like this before. I contacted DraftKings and they can’t seem to figure it out and PayPal says it’s not a problem with them. I have no problems making a deposit to FanDuel with the same account so I am a little confused why my deposits to DraftKings are being declined. DraftKings support had me clear cache, try my desktop pc instead of my laptop using WiFI, reset router and try another browser but nothing has resolved the problem. I could try a credit card or my debit card but I don’t want to start using those. I tried using the app on my phone bypassing my WiFi and home network but nothing seems to resolve the problem.

PayPal support says there is nothing wrong with my account and the problem is with DraftKings and DraftKings is pointing the finger at PayPal. (SMH)

Has anyone ever had an issue like this and if so how did they resolve it?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,

Yes I did. I had to Uninstall app and upgrade to newest version

While this is on both my laptop and PC I did try and use my phone and uninstall the app and reinstall. When making a deposit using the app I get a message that deposits using PayPal can take up to a day to process. When trying this yesterday I would think the money would have been posted to my account by today. My deposits have always been instantaneous so not sure why it would say it could take up to a day using PayPal. Hopefully someone will post something that helps get this cleared up but until then I will just have to play on FanDuel.

Same here, I just noticed that this weekend.

It might be location related. DK’s been weird in this regard at times. I notice intermittent location problems with my account and have had deposit issues related to that in the past. I’ve noticed that at times, ATT connects me to an IP address in Texas even though I’m using my desktop PC in my house in Michigan (for example).

Seems like IP address geolocation trumps your phone’s GPS in their location algorithm as I’ve seen my phone IP address put me in odd locations at times.

I’ve tried my wired computer at home through Brighthouse, my laptop using Brighthouse WiFi, my AT&T Note 4 using cellular not WiFi and even tried using my computer at work but same problem. If this was a location issue wouldn’t the same thing apply to FanDuel?

This just started Friday night so not sure what could have changed.

Update: I just heard back from DraftKings and they informed me that they are having problems with PayPal Smart Connect cards. So until they get this resolved I will stop trying to figure this out and will just be playing on FanDuel.
