    ADMISSION FULL

    Hi,

I proposed this in the 1/13 thread and it seems like many of you would wish to partake in it.

For those of you who didn’t see it, what I propose is a H2H tournament on DraftKings, each round being a best of 7 series. Think Stanley Cup Playoffs meets March Madness. DraftKings would not formally organize this, so it would have to be run through this thread. I’m not sure what would determine the seeding? I would be inclined to suggest Rotogrinders rankings but it would be unfair to unranked cash game players, who would likely take a cotton to this idea.

This would be mostly for bragging rights but how much is put on each game is up to you and your competitor.

If there is enough interest, I would take it upon myself to create a bracket, in one of my graphic design programs or appropriate some March Madness bracket (or whatever).

I’d like to get a head count so please respond here even if you already expressed interest last night.

You could randomly generate the seedings, sounds like a lot of fun. Good luck.

Yeah I am weighing that as an option. My fear is I will be accused of altering the seeding, especially if the best players wind up squaring off in the first round.

    Are you in, JSteele?

I would be in depending on cost.

I know not many of you play on aces but if you got enough interest the Aces guys may throw in some extras. For MLB they did some kind of 25 day tournament thing and I think they threw in an extra 1k for various prizes.

Also I like a tournament to determine seeding. High ranking on here would not necessarily equate to being a good head to head player. This is just my opinion.

I was thinking the only cost would be the buy-ins for each H2H contests — on which every two challengers will decide for their match-ups. The stakes may vary from game to game in a series.

I doubt there will be grand prize, unless someone really wants it. The bragging rights would be enough of a prize for me, in addition to money won from each match-up (were I to win). There was such a fuss made over scooping last week, I take it this would be a fun way around it.

I am definitely liking the tournament idea for determining seeding. Let’s see how many people we can get, then determine a day, preferably with a good-sized slate of games, for the seeding tournament.
