I found out today that unless you click on Start Missions from the missions page on Draftkings, you’re not guaranteed to get your missions points for the contest they have. I usually check the mission and then instead of clicking Start Mission, I just click Lobby. I had got points in instances where I didn’t click Start Missions so I didn’t think anything of it, but more than a few times I noticed I didn’t get them, but didn’t have time to contact support.

After talking with DraftKings support, they said that its required to click on Start Missions, but it doesn’t say you need to click on Start Missions on the site. Anywhere I could find anyways. I feel like I’ve missed out on quite a bit of points because of this, but their support couldn’t tell me what I may have missed. I’m probably the dummy here, but was curious if anyone else had noticed that they weren’t getting their missions points.

I agree that it could be made a bit clearer and could say “Click Here to Start Mission”.

I didn’t notice missing points because I figured that out a while ago. But I agree that it’s beyond stupid that you have to waste time going to the Missions page to get the points, instead of just going directly to the lobby. Doesn’t make any sense.

It is very cheap of DK to do this. I understand their incentive (missions should reward you for playing more than you want to), but it is very obnoxious.

It might be worth throwing a fit if you’re on the edge for one of the vip tiers.

You also have to click a box to get your points after you complete the mission. They don’t just give them to you. Its crazy.

  • SouthernShield

Well is it really that hard to click the button when you check the mission and then click the button to get points when you check the missions the next day?

Wow people are rude on here. Yesterday was my first time doing a mission for points so I didn’t know the deal. Honestly you shouldn’t have to do more than enter the mission to receive the points. Maybe some people don’t know so dk keeps the points.

    Rude?

I didn’t focus my last post towards anyone. I was just asking if it’s really that hard to click a button TWICE.

Perhaps you are overly sensitive and should just avoid the internet…… Yes THAT was rude….

I wish they posted a schedule of upcoming missions. I think different people get different missions though. May also be the reason there is a box to click

After more conversations with DraftKings support my problem was that I’ll enter a contest at 2 am, and then click on the mission the next day. But since I didn’t enter after I clicked the mission section, i’m out of luck. I thought by clicking in the mission section, it would then see I entered a qualifying contest. Which is on me I guess, just isn’t super clear that you have to click on the mission section, and then click a contest. Which is probably common sense that I’m lacking.

The whole missions thing is stupid anyway. There is a lot more they could do to make things better for their regular players.

They don’t care about their regular players anymore. They have gone downhill so fast.

  • TheRyanFlaherty

I’ll add my name to the list that messed it up the first time.
To me it was confusing because Initially you just had to hit accept with the missions and than could join whenever. I didn’t realize it was more ridged once they added the missions section in the app.
It’s ironic that their justification for not simply giving 4 pts per dollar spent anymore was because they said it was too confusing.

  • SpaceWolverine

Once you figure it out (and it doesnt take long) it’s not bad. For those of us who only play $10-15/night you get far more pts from this system than even the old FPP system.
