Just starting this thread as the old thread is sort of off topic. We are past that first drop now and these are pretty exciting.

Now if I could just get something under 15,000 place in line to get one!

Keep in mind DK is making 15% on every transaction. The incentive for them is to get lots of transactions. Obv, we are the upper crust of the market for this. Most people don’t know, or care, enough to combat the bots.

    DK only gets 5%

    autograph gets 10%

but yes, they do want lots of volume.

A Tiger Carbon got sold for $14 today. How would you feel to be that guy to win a spot in the drop for a $12 carbon and sell it for a $0.10 loss lol.

A Brady platinum was sold for $300. Guess who got it… That’s right, bodymindsuccess!

Probably wanted to put $140 or something. No one can be that dumb!

anyone know if you have to have the money in your dk account before you win one? like for the more expensive ones can you get in line and if you get lucky, then deposit before checkout?

  • realphipps

    Another stock comparison…

Would you buy stock through a firm with software so easily manipulated?

Would you invest money in the Nasdaq/Dow if their own servers could be hacked not just daily, but by the minute as noted in this thread?

I’m all about trying to get one to flip as quickly as possible, but the long-term prospects on this market grow dimmer and dimmer by the day, imo. DK has turned a blind eye to cheaters for years now because the marketplace allows it; however, I think this commodity will be different. The marketplace won’t tolerate the shadiness for long before it bottoms out the market through natural selection.

    Just my opinion.

I assume it’s the same as unsigned cards. You don’t need to deposit before drop, but if you wait too long, maybe there won’t be enough cards available. If you see you’re #100 on something like that in the queue, open a new tab or take your phone and deposit as fast as you can.

That said, maybe all signed drop winners get transported to the buying page right away and maybe they have a bigger delay. Did anyone here win a signed card?

    It’s a very valid opinion.

That said, some people have caught DFS cheaters and proved it to DK, but I’m not sure they ever did anything about it, and people still play DFS.

  • realphipps

The DFS market has allowed it. The publicity from busting the Milly cheaters helped that cause.

But these are commodities, in my opinion, at least in terms of market placement. And those players are a different breed. They won’t take stuff like same-second multi-transaction competition for long before moving on to the next craze.

I wouldn’t risk it. If you’re willing to pay $250 for a signed card, then have at least $250 in your account. If you’re willing to pay $1500 for a signed Ruby, then have at least $1500 in your account.

Signed cards are out of 100 (max). I don’t see enough time to allow you to deposit – even if you are immediately directed to card purchases.

    Don’t risk it

You don’t have to but there is almost no chance of getting one if you don’t have the funds ready to go. You can jump people in line by being the first to click the buy button so if your having to deposit while trying to buy I bet you get passed by a bunch of people and will get shut out.

What is suprising as that insane mistake/ misprice wasn’t bought by bodymindsucces or dcoder82 who buy 98% of the cheap ones. That one must have been so cheap it broke their bot program lol.

It was actually bought by redeemedwarriors, who sold it 12 minutes later for $138.99. I don’t recall seeing his name before, BUT

Guess who bought the only two mispriced Woods carbon signed cards… Yep, redeemedwarriors again. He bought #56 for $3K and #68 for $2.5K and resold them both a few minutes later for $3999 and $4049.

These guys create a new account, resell cards in minutes, withdraw everything, then get caught by us/DK, but DK can’t do anything since the money is already gone.

I don’t have that kind of money, but based on other cards and popularity, $4K isn’t enough at all. These cards will go for $6K in less than a week for sure.

I figured it had to be someone with a bot program as an average guy like me would never get a crack at a $14 major mispriced Woods. That is the one thing I don’t like about thsi who NFT thing as there is really no chance to participate in the marketplace and make good money without bot programs. I will continue to try for the drops and flip/ hold the ones I can but I don’t foresee myself every buying on the marketplace knowing your always going to have to overpay with no chance of getting a mispriced one to fall into your lap.

You could sell for $4k or $5k right now.

Depends on what you’re looking for. Personally I’d hold these for many many months, it’s the first autographed Tiger NFT we’ve seen.

But if you’re looking for a quick flip start at $5k and see if someone bites.

The encouraging thing is that he bought them at a fair price. Could very well be legit. The quickest between two buys was 14 seconds. Fast hands, but possible for sure.

A name I see very often is Idolatrine. Wouldn’t say he runs a bot though, but definitely a good deal finder!
