Just starting this thread as the old thread is sort of off topic. We are past that first drop now and these are pretty exciting.

Now if I could just get something under 15,000 place in line to get one!

They announced the next athlete as Gronk. He might show a little more than Bolt who is 100% worthless if you care about making a profit.

true some of the picks are just silly. how about jordan, ali, lebron, messi, nicklaus, p manning, mcdavid. to stop depressing the market with athletes they know arent gonna be popular.

  • emnj69

u know gronk was just because of brady

Probably taking what they can get at the start and think more volume is a good thing as it will create more transactions that they can collect their 10% on. It’s all fine if the user base grows as the NFT supply does which seems to be the biggest problem right now Supply is far outpacing demand.

Some people are non-mistakenly selling their Bolt Emeralds at a 7% loss. That is an incredibly unhealthy market. Im hoping for the future today’s signatures flip a lot better or i am out of this completely.

  • osuryanf

I’m not touching the drops today. No way no how. The ones from yesterday are now losing money so unless you’re wanting to hold these for a really, really long time —— there’s no point in purchasing.

In other news, dcoder82 (yep, him again, what a surprise) bought a $100 Brady carbon and sold it less than an hour later for $348.

Oh come on, Felix! I’m sure his last name is “Coder” and he’s just really quick at exploring the marketplace and gets very lucky to stumble upon bargains more often than not!

I forgot to join the Bolt queue.

Busy trying to get a WNBA TS pack.

And now redeemedwarriors got #1/100 at $1.3K. Probably another guy with quick fingers. He did it in less than a second according to the transactions list.

He sold it 21 minutes later for $2,999.

Those guys have made so much money it is insane. At least it does appear the sigs for Bolt can be sold for a profit until the premiers from Tuesday.

I am waiting for a user name like NFTBOTCHEAT to start buying and selling as pretty much it is right out there in the open

Weirdly, there is only 1 carbon signed under $800, but there are 8 platinum signed under $800. I wish I had unlimited money/credit, because I’m pretty sure these cards will hit $1K in 2-3 days. Every signed card has done it so far. I don’t know why Bolt would be any different than Osaka, Biles or Hawk.

Also not sure if you’ve been paying attention but the secondary market has been in free fall this last week. For example:

    October 1st

Low ask on Tiger Platinum: $236

    October 7th

Low ask on Tiger Platinum: $164

And it’s not just that one. Across the board they all seem to be dropping rather substantially.

Low ask on Tiger Platinum is now down to $150..

Another $17 drop in not even 24 hours….. That marks a 37%+ drop in price in just one week. If that was a stock we’d be losing our minds.

I’m starting to get real fearful of these NFTs.

You shouldn’t be. Pick an entry price. Pick an exit price. The thought that these would go up exponentially forever is what gets people to buy them at crazy high prices and then sell at a loss two to three days later.

Also realize that, like with crypto and other NFTs, that there are sharps out there with bots and huge inventory to manipulate pump and dumps. It’s unfair, sure, but there is money to be made there too. If you monitor the whales with inventory and what they are doing with their holdings you can scoop on the dumps and sell on the next pump.

I agree with everything that was said in the last 3 posts. I made bad buys, but selling now is out of the question. They’re at their lowest. Will they keep going down? Maybe, but at that point, I prefer waiting to see what it actually gives me access to, having at least one of each athlete. Bots are frustrating, but it is what it is. We know about them now, so we either live with it and keep complaining to evacuate the frustration, or we leave.

I lost some buying power (not sure that’s the right term in English) on some cards, but there’s not much I can do about it now anyway.

Don’t confuse the issue. This isn’t about hoarding or market manipulation. DK can’t even get the basics of a market working.

If you are operating a market(especially if with high fees) you should be doing everything you can to insure sellers and buyers are getting a fair market price.

Meh, I’ll hold onto the Tiger ones for numerous reasons but other than that I’ll be holding out on DK NFT’s for awhile to see what they do to level the playing field.

NBA season is upon us so TopShot will be firing away again shortly and they seem to have a much better control of how to handle business ——— so I’ll just focus on them for awhile. I’ll re-evaluate my Tiger NFT’s in a few months and determine if I want out fully or not.

A roadmap from Autograph/DK would do wonders for many peoples skepticism.

Low ask on Tiger Platinum now down to $125, losing basically half of its price value in less than 2 weeks.

Looks like they all continue to fall across the board

Gronk has coke eyes. It’s a sign – stick with the primary cuts only. Secondary too diluted with shit.

Got it! Bad number, but still. Happy to have at least one of each athlete. I hope DK offers something for that!
