Just starting this thread as the old thread is sort of off topic. We are past that first drop now and these are pretty exciting.

Now if I could just get something under 15,000 place in line to get one!

On a side note, they have a new type of NFT next week and it looks very weird! For someone like me who likes sports in general but has no intention of reading a basketball magazine, I’m not sure they have any value.

Maybe I’m being paranoiac here, BUT I noticed something very weird.

In the last hour, that guy named OfficialNFTAutograph started listing a whole bunch of cards at a price much lower than the lowest. He sold 5 Jeter Carbon, 3 Jeter Platinum, 2 Gretzky Carbon and 2 Gretzky Platinum. He’s also still listing the 5 cheapest Jeter Carbon. I didn’t look at any other cards, and maybe I’m missing some.

The weird thing is, other than his name being as shady as it gets, when you look on thestandardguide, the Jeter ones are correctly identified, but the Gretzky ones indicate that they were sold by a user named velador2009.

It could only be a mistake, but I find it weird that someone named OfficialNFTAutograph is mass selling cards at a loss.

He’s now selling some Brady cards. We’ll see what name comes up on thestandardguide.

Now he back to buying…..I just missed his $550 sapphire brady

According to thestandardguide, Brady Sapphire #70 was sold for $499 from velador2009 (same weird name) to redeemedwarriors (proven bot), who resold it for $1099 a few hours later. The second lowest sold in the last few days was $825.

Fighting is worthless at this point, but dcoder82 and redeemedwarriors got all mispriced cards once again.

I have no interest in the SLAM NFT drops next week so I will sit out even trying for the drops. Then after that they have a Halloween NFT coming with the Saw franchise. Another one I don’t really think I have any interest in. So I think I will just wait until the limited edition drops start on 11/9 and use the 6 pre season passes I hold in the hopes I don’t continue to regret holding them vs. taking the quick immediate profits I could have got for the ones I won off the drop.

  • tristanwolf

these slam logo things are the dumbest thing ever. hope they don’t even sell out. what were they thinking?

They will probably sell out as people love getting into the drops but the lucky ones who win one will find out it is just like Bolt where if you want to sell the one that you were lucky to win your going to have to do so at a loss.

I’m honestly afraid of that and I think I won’t even participate. Maybe just the first one as it’s $20.

I don’t really understand the concept of this particular drop (maybe I’m missing something). Everything gets the SLAM e subscription (or whatever). So, what’s the difference between Carbon, Platinum, etc?- other than the variable quantities per “group.” They are what, different cover photos between the groups/tiers/whatever? Is that what is supposed to draw people?

You get a year subscription to the digital SLAM magazine which I believe is worth $20 and then access to a future SLAM limited edition drop. I would assume like the other pre season passes the higher more expensive tiers will allow you to buy more of that future limited edition drop. I am staying away from this one as I have no interest in SLAM or any future LE drop associated with it.

The logo’s are different as well as whatever value the scarcity of each brings.

It’s really no different than the other NFT’s where each athletes offerings are essentially the same thing, just in different colors and quantities.

They were $20, and people are selling/buying them for $30-$60 depending on the number.

  • bigez952

    @yisman said...

People were selling them for $35-$40 right off the drop so making a small profit with the single digit serial numbers selling for $100+ so it wasn’t a total waste of time like Bolt.

  • osuryanf

You guys aren’t going to believe this but…..

    dcoder bought #1 for $50…

… then snap sold it for $450

The fact Draftkings still hasn’t done anything with this guy is absolutely laughable and the #1 reason I don’t even hop in queues/buy these NFT’s anymore.

He has a corner on the serial #1-9 of every drop where if one gets sold too low no one but him has a shot to get it. At least someone is making big money off the Autograph NFT’s.

@bigez952: Bolt cards are selling at a loss from the starting price, which is just insane to me.

@osuryanf: At this point there’s nothing we can do. It’s frustrating for sure.

  • yisman

I didn’t join the first 2 drops. I’ll try the third one

Some (I’ll keep the words for myself) put the $60 one on sale for $8 and of course redeemedwarriors snapped it in under a second.

  • yisman

the $60 ones were a bad buy. People are listing for 70.5 to 71 to try and get their 60 dollars back.

I guess it was a good buy if you got a good serial?

I forgot, does it tell you the serial before you confirm to purchase from the drop?

On this one, the move would’ve been to only go through with the purchase if you got an early serial.

  • bigez952

    @yisman said...

No it doesn’t as when you win a drop you don’t get to see the serial number until after your purchase it completed.

  • yisman

yeah so you have no idea whether it is a good buy or not. Tricky.
