As the leader in daily fantasy sports, we place an importance on listening to our valued player community. That is why we are proud to announce our new policies, applicable across all sports, to improve the DraftKings experience. Collectively these policies are called the DraftKings Player First Initiative.

    Enhanced Contest Eligibility

Effective immediately, all low entry fee contests are available to everyone except the highest-volume DraftKings players.

    • The highest-volume DraftKings players cannot enter contests with entry fees less than $3.
    • The highest-volume DraftKings players are permitted to enter contests with entry fees between $3 and $5 if the guaranteed prize pool is greater than $25,000.

To help use celebrate this new policy, we will post a promotional MLB “$50K “BIG TWO$” contest on Monday May 21st and Tuesday May 22nd!
    enter now: MLB $50K BIG Two$ [$5K to 1st, 2X Min Cash]

    Enhanced Multi-Entry Limits

    • All contests with an entry fee less than $5 will continue to be 20 entries max.
    • To allow players to experience the excitement of entering up to 150 lineups in a single contest, we will also offer special mini-MAX contests with low entry fees.

To help use celebrate this new policy, we will post a promotional MLB “$5K mini-MAX $0.25 entry contest that allows players to enter up to 150 times on Monday May 21st!
enter now: MLB $5K Mini-MAX [150 Entry Max, Just $0.25!]

These policy improvements were inspired by feedback gathered from players like you within the global DraftKings community. We would like to thank everyone for their insight, over time we will continue to refine our policies to provide the best possible game experience for all.

Only play DK for NBA, but I think these policies are a good start.

Am I naive for thinking this post was gonna be about lowering rake?

That will not happen Element, unless some competition comes in with lower rake. If anything, it will go up short term.

Could you define what a high-volume DraftKings player is?

    Thanks!

We have roughly 400 players that are categorized as “high-volume”.

Is this new $0.25 150 entry max qualify for the big league promotions scoring position part of the promo? I am guessing it is not since you would earn more FPP’s than what 150 entries at $0.25 cost but I can’t find anything in the terms of conditions about this. It should be clarified if it is eligible or not now that this new game is being introduced mid season.

Is this policy for all modes or just for the classic mode?

And so it’s for all contests 4.99 or less with less than 25k or less or is it $5 or less with less than 25k in prize pools?

What classifies a player as being high volume? All I play are low stakes so I’m interested to know what you have defined as a high volume player because oddly enough I can’t find your quarter entry MLB for tomorrow. Maybe you just haven’t posted one yet but after seeing this thread I’m a little curious.

You didn’t really define much with this response, can you elaborate? Do you receive an e-mail once you reach a certain threshold, or something?

Here is the 150 max $0.25 contest for tomorrow. It is already a third full so it will fill early.

It’s Sunday evening when we are responding to your question, unfortunately we will need to look into that for you tomorrow. More details soon…

You always ask such good questions theseige! The policies that make up the Player First Initiative (PFI for short) are applicable to all games and contest types.

Less than $3: Highest Volume players are restricted.
Greater than or equal to $3 and less than $5: Highest Volume players can enter, provided the prize pool is greater than $25K guaranteed.
$5 or greater: No restrictions on the highest-volume players

We are currently defining a high volume player as someone who has spent 1 mil + in entry fees. The players who were affected by our new policy were all contacted prior to the announcement.

So it’s high bankroll vs high volume. Makes sense but those 400 x average of a million a year is $400 million at 10% rake…..$40 mil ain’t bad

It has to count for the MLB achievements. The requirement is very clearly stated:

“Total lineups entered into the same paid MLB contest (any game style)”

Just hope this doesn’t prevent them from continuing to run these in the future for MLB; now that I’m sure they’re realizing they just gifted 150 people 25,000 fpp.

  • kwdamp

And the contest is now full. A mere 22 hours before lock. LOL

Think you found something that may be in high demand!

Their contest sizing team has been terrible all season long.

You guys should also open a 1-2$ 150-entries… You see how fast the $0.25 one filled… Everyone likes to play for high prize pools.

yea I really hope that they use this and take it to expand it down low that even if you take out the top volume players they can absolutely fill 150 max .25 and even $1 big GPPs. I know I was ready to max enter the .25 until I saw it was already full. I hope tomorrow AM they open another for tomorrow nights slate.

I do really like the MLB $50K BIG TWO$ [$5K TO 1ST, 2X MIN CASH] contest.

Especially if the top 400 high volume players aren’t eligible. That seems like it could be a game changer if we start seeing daily contests like this.

it has to count, all of the achievements i have this season so far are all from .25 cents games, i havent played anything but

  • Mangle54

yeah, i just got the info on this and went to enter the Quarter tourney like i always do and dang thing is already filled up

  • Mangle54

lol been waiting all season for a big 25 cent 150 entry tourney and it finally comes and filled almost instantly, and like the other guy said earlier i have been max 20 entering the quarter tourney all year every day, it has been counting towards the MLB achievements, that is how ive gotten almost all of mine except for the odd $5 ones was grinding $5 a day and $15 a day on weekends building up the Strikout/homerun/over 100 point team achievements got most of those ones upto the 5K fpp levels
