As the leader in daily fantasy sports, we place an importance on listening to our valued player community. That is why we are proud to announce our new policies, applicable across all sports, to improve the DraftKings experience. Collectively these policies are called the DraftKings Player First Initiative.

    Enhanced Contest Eligibility

Effective immediately, all low entry fee contests are available to everyone except the highest-volume DraftKings players.

    • The highest-volume DraftKings players cannot enter contests with entry fees less than $3.
    • The highest-volume DraftKings players are permitted to enter contests with entry fees between $3 and $5 if the guaranteed prize pool is greater than $25,000.

To help use celebrate this new policy, we will post a promotional MLB “$50K “BIG TWO$” contest on Monday May 21st and Tuesday May 22nd!
    enter now: MLB $50K BIG Two$ [$5K to 1st, 2X Min Cash]

    Enhanced Multi-Entry Limits

    • All contests with an entry fee less than $5 will continue to be 20 entries max.
    • To allow players to experience the excitement of entering up to 150 lineups in a single contest, we will also offer special mini-MAX contests with low entry fees.

To help use celebrate this new policy, we will post a promotional MLB “$5K mini-MAX $0.25 entry contest that allows players to enter up to 150 times on Monday May 21st!
enter now: MLB $5K Mini-MAX [150 Entry Max, Just $0.25!]

These policy improvements were inspired by feedback gathered from players like you within the global DraftKings community. We would like to thank everyone for their insight, over time we will continue to refine our policies to provide the best possible game experience for all.

Just hope this doesn’t prevent them from continuing to run these in the future for MLB; now that I’m sure they’re realizing they just gifted 150 people 25,000 fpp.

try 32,050 Fpps as most the quarter entry people were stuck at level 4 this opens up 5-6-7 and 8 all at same time you get all 4 Fpp rewards basicly getting from the store a $50, a $6, a $2 and A quarter contest ticket for $25 in entrys

This might be quote of the year in terms of comical value.

I contacted support last night as well and they told me that the $0.25 150 max would count towards any stat based big league achievements such as the strikeouts and homeruns but not the entry based ones like the league and scoring position position as those need to be a min buy in of $1 to count.

I read the terms and conditions multiple times and I don’t see the $1 requirement listed anywhere so I am guessing they will get updated today now that they people like me really wanted to throw in 150 entries for $37.50 to get $58+ in free FPP’s as I still have levels 3-8 available to unlock in the scoring position section.

I’m glad DK seems to be listening to some suggestions, and I don’t mind these changes. That being said, it would be wonderful if you would start heeding some of the suggestions from your medium and high volume players, who have repeatedly asked for better payout structures in your GPPs. Instead, we have a $6 150 max that pays 33% to first and a $55 150 max that pays 20% to first. I understand that you want to appeal to the super casual players by putting a large number up top, but it seems unsustainable long-term. If you need evidence of the crazy swings these top heavy structures subject people to, I’d be willing to provide you with some crazy graphs via pm.

Can’t believe that thing filled so fast.

They should put up a quarter gpp with 150 max entry with a huge guaranteed prizepool like 25k to first .It would fill

It would only fill if you had a terrible super top heavy structure with the winner getting 50%+ which would make it a terrible tournament. If you wanted a 25K to first and a decent structure you would need 1.15 million entries so the overall prize fund is 250K with 10% to first. There is a 0% chance any contest would fill if it needed over 1 million entries. Maybe for the NFL only I could see them getting up to maybe 500,000 entries with $10,000 to first but I don’t see that being possible for sports like the MLB. Based on how fast the 24,000 player game filled I think the MLB could handle something like a 100,000 person field max with $2000-$2500 to first.

If they advertised it and put it on the board say Wednesday the 30th, it’d fill. 11 game slate, decent chance no NHL or NBA. RG (And others) will have a highly incentivized reason to advertise their lineup builder with the Big League Achievements. They’re already filling 30k entries for 2 dollars. It only takes 7667 users @ 150 lineups to populate a 1.15M entry contest and that’s what I bet near half would be doing…

*New game, betting lobbies will fill – I’m willing to put down on this one.

Did the restrictions on the high volume players go into effect immediately? I was excited to log into DK this morning to join some $5 contests with guaranteed prize pools of $25,000 or less, but looking through some of them I still see some very well known names that I would think fall into the 1 Million+ in entry fees category. I guess I don’t know for sure though, maybe they don’t fall into that category… Or could it be that the restriction is technically $3 to less than $5 entry ($3.00-$4.99 contests) and/or less than $25,000 ($24,999 or less) guaranteed prize?

  • timgodd375

Great job on actually listening to people DK! Now the the next (very simple) step is to make the $1 150-max contests much much bigger as I want to max enter it but when first prize is $250 there is not a ton of incentive to do so.

Also, did we clear up that this DOES count for the big league max enter achievement since it is $1?

I think you are correct here at the end. 3-4.99 and less than 25000

Ugh, I hope not…was really looking forward to some $5 entries without the high volume guys. The original post does clearly state “greater than” $25,000 GPP which I would take to mean $25,000.01 or higher, but I could see the interpretation of “between $3 and $5” to mean $3.00 or $3.01 to $4.99. I really hope not though, hopefully DK will clarify.

We agree! We’re beyond thrilled to see the mini-MAX contest fill as quickly as it did.

To continue our celebration of the new Players First Initiative policies, we have posted additional mini-MAX contests in the lobby this morning. You’ll find the $0.25, $5K guaranteed, plus a new $1 contest with up to 150 max entries for our Enhanced Multi-Entry Limits.

    MLB $5K Mini-MAX [150 Entry Max, Just $0.25!]

This is the $0.25 contest option that filled so quickly last night! Can we do that again? Let’s get this party started!

    MLB $5K Mini-MAX [150 Max Entry, Just $1!]

Additionally, don’t forget to enter the $1 Mini-MAX! Do you feel that this price point will be as well received as the $0.25 did last night?

they could definitely get away with a $50,000 $1 entry 150 max tournament and it would fill.. Hey DK, can we get this for the US open??? 100,000+ entries filled for the masters and it was 20 entry max so can we get one with like 200k

Throwing a wild idea here, but would it be something that could be considered to make a tournament for like $0.10 or $0.25 with UNLIMITED entries? This way you could actually build an enormous prize pool as people would be willing to put 500+ entires into the tournament (I know I would).

i think thats BS on their part because so far, everything i have is from quarter games..for them to turn around and remove the achievements from them this late into the season is lame…tbh the only reason im doing 150 entries on this contest is FOR the achievements, if I don’t get them I will be upset.
