As the leader in daily fantasy sports, we place an importance on listening to our valued player community. That is why we are proud to announce our new policies, applicable across all sports, to improve the DraftKings experience. Collectively these policies are called the DraftKings Player First Initiative.

    Enhanced Contest Eligibility

Effective immediately, all low entry fee contests are available to everyone except the highest-volume DraftKings players.

    • The highest-volume DraftKings players cannot enter contests with entry fees less than $3.
    • The highest-volume DraftKings players are permitted to enter contests with entry fees between $3 and $5 if the guaranteed prize pool is greater than $25,000.

To help use celebrate this new policy, we will post a promotional MLB “$50K “BIG TWO$” contest on Monday May 21st and Tuesday May 22nd!
    enter now: MLB $50K BIG Two$ [$5K to 1st, 2X Min Cash]

    Enhanced Multi-Entry Limits

    • All contests with an entry fee less than $5 will continue to be 20 entries max.
    • To allow players to experience the excitement of entering up to 150 lineups in a single contest, we will also offer special mini-MAX contests with low entry fees.

To help use celebrate this new policy, we will post a promotional MLB “$5K mini-MAX $0.25 entry contest that allows players to enter up to 150 times on Monday May 21st!
enter now: MLB $5K Mini-MAX [150 Entry Max, Just $0.25!]

These policy improvements were inspired by feedback gathered from players like you within the global DraftKings community. We would like to thank everyone for their insight, over time we will continue to refine our policies to provide the best possible game experience for all.

Thanks for re-opening new contest this morning, maxing in the mini 5k QA is the first time I’ve maxed a 150 and am quite excited. I will suggest one thing, for the $1 I’d try to find a way to get the 1st place prize a little higher even if it isn’t the flattest pay structure. I was considering maxing that as well but there isn’t much incentive to enter $150 into a GPP when 1st place only gets $250.

Is there a entry fee requirement for the Scoring Position achievement?
    Thanks!

I will give this a second bump as something I would like to know for sure. There is nothing I can find in the terms and conditions but when I reached out to support last night they said it had to be a min $1 to qualify. I am a single entry guy so will get wrecked trying to make 150 entries but it would be fun to try it out once knowing I get the bonus FPP’s from the scoring potion to lighten the hit I will most likely take.

i think thats BS on their part because so far, everything i have is from quarter games..for them to turn around and remove the achievements from them this late into the season is lame…tbh the only reason im doing 150 entries on this contest is FOR the achievements, if I don’t get them I will be upset.

I think he got some bad information. I just spoke with support and they will honor all MLB achievements on the Mini-Max tournaments. Hope that clarifies things for everyone.

I for one am thrilled that DK has moved in this direction.

This is what I got back from support when asking if there will be an issue clearing MLB achievements with the new tournaments being added.

“After I got some more clarification, it looks like we will honor those achievements. So, if you have 150 lineups in the ‘Mini-Max,’ you will clear that achievement. Does that answer your question? “

    So they will count.

That is great to hear since when I was chatting with support last night the first told me yes they would count but then changed their mind saying they will only count for stat based sections so I was totally confused and I think they were too. Based on this confusion I think am going to wait until the next round of the mini max games to make sure people get the full reward from the quarter game before I enter 150 lineups. I have no interest in doing 150 lineups full time but would do it once to clear the scoring potion promo and get the bonus FPP’s and Diamond status for the month. After you get your FPP’s let me know so I can donate my 150 lineups into the next contest.

This is what I was told last night

Chat started: 2018-05-20 11:48 PM UTC
(11:48:32 PM) Does tomorrow’s new mini max 150 max entry $0.25 qualify for the big league achievements (scoring position)?

(11:48:34 PM) DK Player Advocate: Thank you for chatting with us! A Player Advocate will be with you as soon as possible.

(11:48:40 PM) *** Charlie joined the chat ***

(11:48:55 PM) Charlie: Hi , thanks for chatting us! I was just getting back to you via email.

(11:50:48 PM) Charlie: These contests should count toward your big league achievement totals, was there anything in specific you were curious about?

(11:52:17 PM) : no mainly just the scoring positions since entering 150 entries is worth 25,000 FPP’s which is worth around $45 in contest tickets whereas it only costs $37.50 to put in 150 entries into the $0.25 contest so I was wondering since this was new if there was something to not allow this particular contest since you would be giving away more than I put in

(11:53:53 PM) : I am only a single entry guy so me putting in 150 entries is for sure not going to go well but if these do indeed quality for the promo where I could get my entries back via FPP’s I would take the shot

(11:56:54 PM) Charlie: You will not receive the entry fee FPPs, as these contests are less than a dollar. However, all of your player’s stats should count towards the Big League Achievements position.

(11:59:37 PM) : oh ok so it would count for the stats sections but not the Scoring Position category. That one is not stat based but just to get all the levels you have to put 150 entries into 1 contest. It doesn’t specify a dollar amount in that section but when it started it was only $5 + contest that reached this so I wonder if the terms shouldn’t be updated to incorporate the new contest as I am guessing a lot of people will wonder about this one.

(12:00:10 AM) Charlie: Thank you for clarifying that!

(12:00:55 AM) Charlie: That is correct, these contests will not count toward the ‘Scoring Position’ part of this promotion.

EDIT : Draftkings has reached out to me this afternoon to let me know the information that I received last night from support was incorrect and they will honor the $0.25 150 entry for the scoring position promo. It was very nice to see they reach out to let me know I was mis informed so now I feel much better about getting into one of these and putting in 150 entries.

Very cool, looks like I am going to MME for the first time. I hear that’s why all the big time players win, so I should start counting my money, right?

Although I love the implementation of the mini max $.25 GPP, the amount of total entries is simply horrendous in relation to the entries allowed. 150 people max entering could fill this tournament at 23,000 entries. First place is 250??? That’s less than 7x the $37.50 it would cost to max enter.

I like the payout structure, the GPP is just way to small for a 150 max entry GPP at 25 cents. I realize today is just a test. Going forward it would be nice to see 150,000 entries at 150 max for $.25. Since DK normally easily fills 30,000 entries at 20 max, you should have no problem filling 150,000 entries (100,000 entries to be super conservative) at 150 max. As you can tell by how this tourney is flying off the shelf, 150,000 entries would easily fill and make the tourney worth max entering and playing.

Yea, this is my first time mme so I’m kinda using it as a test to see how to split exposures. If they don’t bump it up I’ll probably be less interested but I think they will.

FWIW, I also got email confirmation that the 25 contest meets the requirements of the Scoring Position Big League Achievement.

I kind of agree, but this is the first day. And they did open up another $.25 and add a $1 when that one filled. Give them a little time to get things sorted out.

I for one am thrilled with the new DK approach; taking our opinions seriously and at least trying to work towards what we want to see implemented.

You’ve got to expect a few bumps in the road.

The highest-volume DraftKings players are permitted to enter contests with entry fees between $3 and $5 if the guaranteed prize pool is greater than $25,000.

Well, color me #disappointed (somewhat)…the original post here is incorrect according to the Player Initiative page on draftkings.com. The post here says “greater than” $25,000…on the site it specifically says less than $25,000. Also here it says between $3 and $5, the site says $3 and above or BELOW $5. Overall the changes are still very good, but the way it was phrased here was a little misleading…was really looking forward to the $5 contests without the high volume players.

Absolutely, as I said I love the 150 max, and I realize they’re just testing it out. I as well expect DK to increase the size of the tourney in the future.

  • sonic999

Payout is absurdly top heavy in the biggest games, esp. NBA. If that doesnt change then DK isn’t listening to the guys who really keep their site running. A $350-400k gpp with 100k to first is BS. They wouldnt lose a single entry if it was 50k to first.

  • dbullsfan

I hope they run the .25/$1 150 max for nascar too, it would fill easily as well
