fanduel is a fucking joke!! lowering their daily nba swat from 75k to 30k to force us to spend more money on higher entry tourny’s then when questioned on that they respond with ‘‘significant financial overhead ‘’ as their reason , this from a company that made 300 million last quarter alone , greedy bunch of pricks

If you don’t like what they have, don’t play there. If you don’t like their low stakes offerings it doesn’t mean you have to play a higher dollar amount. You sound like a total de-gen.

Yes, what a weird concept, a company out to make money?

    I really hate Disney.

They fight gambling in Florida and than pull this.

At least I now have a little ammo to go after the rat when the Seminole pact expires this year.

“We oppose the legalization of so-called destination resort casinos because this major expansion of gambling is inconsistent with Florida’s reputation as a family-friendly destination,” Walt Disney World spokesperson, Ms. Finger said.

Well then it looks like Disney doesn’t think DFS is gambling. As they should, because it isn’t gambling.

    Is Fanduel waiting on Yahoo/CBS?

If this doesn’t wake those two up, I don’t know what will.

Biggest long-term gain for DK and DFS as a whole is getting Disney in the space. All but guarantees Congress stays out of the way. One of the best companies at lobbying/congressional relations (see their role in DMCA).

It’s actually extremely high (IMO) for what is essentially a one trick pony. There is zero diversity and the deal is pure speculation on Disney’s part for roughly .20 on the dollar

Depends on how their finance team is projecting DK’s business out for 3-5 years. If this was 2011-2012, I would say Disney got a great deal because the market back then was pricing IPO’s on revenue growth and user base. Having just worked with an ecommerce company trying to right the ship, it became clear the market is now pricing IPOs on an EBITDA basis. In the current market environment, DK would not be a hot IPO. Disney’s team is probably viewing DK in a 3-5 year horizon, where the company goes through the marketing blitz and becomes EBITDA positive, and anticipating a hot IPO to generate a high ROI.
