      2019 DraftKings FFWC Finalist

Today DraftKings took a huge step forward in clarifying what type of play is allowed/not allowed.

Check out the Community Guidelines page here, complete with a clear design and examples.

I had a call with DK on this just a couple of hours ago. They mentioned this is phase one of this page and they are open to adding to it as new situations arise. The thing that really stood out to me here is Lineup Selling. I did not see that one coming. With lineup selling being such a public endeavor it will also be one of the easiest ones to enforce. I think we’ll see that market dry up quickly, especially if Fanduel follows suit. I asked if they could give more clarity and communication on specific punishments – they feel that would violate their privacy policy, so we probably won’t be seeing such announcements unless they change their policy. This forum will remain a place to bring potential issues to light, but there is also a direct department to report suspected abuse to now: GameIntegrity@DraftKings.com

Let’s have a constructive conversation about these here. What do you think? Is there anything that should be added or clarified?

Kudos to DraftKings for making this effort.

I just finished 53rd in a 2$ 50/50 on FanDuel and 12 players had exact same lineup with 191 pts and another 6 had exact same lineup and 162pts……Needless to say I am done over there until something gets fixed.

So when you take one more stab at it 2 weeks later and you finish 48th and those same trains finish behind you, will you go back for good?

Anyone that does not see this as a major problem is short sighted in my opinion. Any reason you do not have a record of playing any contests?

I really wish Draftkings would have a random match for 3 ways. Each guy builds his lineup and enters and then he gets randomly match with two other players. My current win rate is about +65% in three ways. It would be higher but I find guys teaming up to cover/hedge lineups to beat me. I don’t see any way this can be policed by the community or Draftkings. So I thought a random matching would be best way to stop this unfair play. Thoughts?

I just wanted to let people know DK is definitely enforcing these and are doing it relatively quick. Two days ago my brother was coming home from out of state and not being able to play in so long I called him gave him my account info and had him toss some dummy line ups in a few MLB contests for me to edit here from my CPU in NY. Worked great I was sitting here wondering why I had not been doing this all along. Well now today the news breaks we can play in NY I go to login and enter a few GPPS and BOOM account restricted! After talking to DK reps my account was suspended due to the login in from 2 different areas in such a short amount of time. I just got my account back after a little bit of talking to em about why it happened and that I now fully understand the policies and that it will NEVER happen again. So anybody saying they are not enforcing the policies I hate to tell ya but they definitely are! If this was more then just that one time mistake I doubt I would have even got my account back from how they made it sound.

That sounds more like they enforced suspicious logins than anything in the new Community Guidelines.

They’ve been known to be vigilant to those circumventing logins to get around prohibited states.

Agreed. Completely separate issues that are enforced differently.

I’m still calling direct BS on the shady activity that DK allows on many pros including scooping head 2 heads immediately- they don’t even show online before a script picks up my head to head to several high ranked pros here. That and the loads of 3 man contests with the same 2 pros. You don’t think they’re in cahoots to split the fish ? Come on. I tested it over the weekend and same Sh-t same story. They are not going to bite the hands that feeds them.

If the head to head thing is happening (withing 1-3 seconds), it is highly looked down upon and they will take action against it. Just email them if this is actually happening.

It is and I have emailed DK…however the 2-3 pros doing this bring it boatloads to DK I’m sure and I still see them with their large cash game ensemble queued up for today.

Will give DK a week to fix this and then I’m shifting funds elsewhere.

    1. I never said it wasn’t a potential problem. But I would submit you that you are the one being short-sighted by not realizing those trains, at the very worst, probably have a neutral effect on your ROI. There are plenty of times when the trains actually push you into position to cash out, where otherwise you may finish 52/100.

    2. Any reason rayofhope doesn’t have a record of playing any contest?

Wait, he just won the WFBC… how’s that possible? Wtf?

Come on dude, use your brain.

    1) The point is these lineups have been getting increasingly better over time which means some that some very good people are getting into the cottage industry of selling lineups……as it continues to evolve in the same manner they will get even better, and soon new players will not bother as the “trains smoke them” and scrutiny from regulators will follow. That is the topic of the thread and the reason Draft Kings is supposedly starting to crack down on them.

    2) WTF, Get a brain then use it Dude! …,Are you really as good as Ray? Wow!!!

So.. DraftKings tweeted this out today: https://twitter.com/DraftKings/status/774668844619145217

  • AWoo

And how will DK enforce these community guidelines if X number of people use that same exact lineup?

  • deactivated84892

    Seems unbelievably counterproductive.

  • deactivated84892

Will probably be deleted as there are some incredible mistakes in the image but looks like another DraftKings endorsed tweet of a NFL Analyst giving out lineups: https://twitter.com/AdamSchefter/status/774912453570392065

I really don’t understand this campaign considering the Community Guidelines.

  • Mphst18

All links for their community guidelines now go directly to the contest lobby, can’t even see them anymore

  • deactivated84892

and now it all suddenly makes sense.

It really wasn’t a realistic expectation to expect them to police lineup sharing during NFL season.

Pretty typical. Too much resources (whether employees/money, time, etc….) for something that wasn’t relevant/a main problem for them to start with.

  • gridironguru99

This is amazing . So what is DK response to basically saying “F it, let’s forget it” ?

Still seeing same head to head scoops occurring in rapid fire . Emailed their new snazzy email address – canned response , no action taken.

We’re all being duped folks – they never did care. Those top 100 players are keeping them afloat

  • tjabchs6

Wow, unreal. And people were actually trying to say DK was going to take this seriously. LOL

This is just laughable lol. You can bet that was definitely NOT Matthew Berry’s milly lineup after that tweet.

  • Mphst18

Will there be a follow up article on why they have removed the CG from their site and his that as quoted in the article is “growing”

    https://rotogrinders.com/articles/draftkings-clarifies-stance-on-hot-button-issues-1389616

Finally got a response asking for a link ton their community guidelines (current link goes to the contest lobby).

“We are working on getting this page up and running. Once the issue has been resolved, we will reach out to you with the link”
