Great move for DK on so many different levels!! Even better move for DFS!!
If it bleeds, it leads.
And it’s only been a day.
Good PR move, good for DFS, good for DK.Also DK bought out starstreet a few years back, different circumstances, but a precedent was set there as well.jm

Awesome news. Thanks, DraftKings!
FantasyHub owes me a replacement autographed Bo Jackson photo as well. You guys bailing them out for that, too? (Kidding!!!)
Just transferred my balance. Never thought i’d see that $$ again. Thank you, DraftKings!
I also signed up for FH through RotoGrinders link and was receiving FH incentives, can I get the DK incentives even though I already had existing DK account? Probably wouldn’t have deposited on FH without getting RG incentives.
Great PR move! The whole industry is getting a bad rep right now and this is exactly what they need to gain some favor in the public eye. This is not about competition within the DFS industry, this is about ensuring the long term sustainability of the DFS industry as a whole.
On a side note, DraftKings recent move into the UK also a smart move. Continued growth makes issues on home turf less threatening.

Hello,
I sent you a pm.
The most important thing here is that everyone affected got their money…and Kudos to DK for taking the lead on that.
That said, does this mean Plappert and the gang get to walk away from this scott free? I mean, by my count there are multiple counts of wire fraud and what projects to be the most deplorable act, charity fraud. Whether these guys intended what happened, in the end they conducted a scam and continued to perpetuate it even days before with that BS promo they had no intention of seeing through.
If DFS truly wants to come off as a straight and narrow operation, the powers that be need to lay the hammer on those individuals (rare as they may be) that continue to sully the waters in this pivotal time.
These guys should be facing criminal charges. End of story.
BRAVO POST OF THE YEAR!!!!!!!!!
I’m not a lawyer by any stretch, but I’m not sure what happened was actually wire fraud. I don’t think they’re going to be facing criminal charges, and since everyone (including the charities) got their money in the end, I don’t think I really care.
Taking the money out of player accounts and transferring it to wherever it went is wire fraud the way understand it.

I never played on FH but am very passionate about the DFS industry so I followed this story. I was in agreement with you in regards to not making threats to Plappert, his cohorts, friends, and family members. If your steal money from many people that is to be expected but I don’t condone it. I also don’t doubt Plappert and friends worked their asses off to find a deal with a strategic third party. The thing that bothers me is you seem to be implying FH never did anything wrong and people just needed a little patience, Mm, yeah. Can you at least admit they stole your money? DK bailed out both the players and the site founder’s virgin asses.
I get that. I’m just don’t know if they ever had much money in the first place. Did you play on FH? There was a ton of overlay, not to mention all the promos and free entries. I don’t know what happened to whatever money they had, but my guess is that it was a fraction of the amount that they showed in player balances.
I might be wrong. Maybe they stole everyone’s money, it’s certainly possible. If they did so, they absolutely should be prosecuted. But I think it’s more likely they just didn’t ever have it.
I don’t pretend to know what happened. You know, innocent until proven guilty and all that jazz.
What don’t you understand> They were GUILTY of not paying their players or their charities hence we are where we are at today They didn’t pay us DK did ..Now do ya get it
You clearly don’t understand how the legal system works in this country. Things like “wire fraud” and “criminal charges” require more than just a bunch of internet guesswork.
Why are you still trolling everybody that got robbed by these people? Thank god DK came and bailed them out, but that doesn’t change the fact that it happened. Enough already.
This is clearly my fault for thinking people here know how to think like adults, when the past few months have clearly proven otherwise.
Yes everybody but you is an immature idiot. You troll every thread on here. Because you are super mature. That’s fine. But constantly trolling the people that were robbed is just sad. Move along. It’s getting old.
Not everyone, just people like you who think you know everything. I had money there too, by the way, but don’t let that get in the way of your theories.
Lol. Project much?
My theory is that tvsfrink = Steve P.
Never seen them in the same room together.
Props to DK for stepping in and stepping up.
I won’t presume to judge their all their intentions but them making this right has earned them a certain amount of loyalty from those gun shy about the industry.
Ace investigative reporting there. I’m also Donald Trump.
