How many of you are still owed money from Draftlytics? (If you don’t know what Draftlytics is, consider yourself lucky!)

  • rickey55

YES! They still owe me $600. Have you heard anything from them recently?

  • chippyboy9

They paid me a lot of the money back, but haven’t received anything recently. They still owe me $450. They owe a friend of mine $540. I spoke to someone else on rg earlier and they owe him $18,500.

    Ugly situation!

What are you considered then bear jew? A partial moron? Just messing with ya man! Keep grinding!

  • JBigg23

LMFAO… why would you ever do this?

  • chippyboy9

When they were reimbursing, it was a great system for us. You basically got to play for big money without any risk. This of course is thrown out the window once they stopped paying.

If the reimbursements were still being paid, the question would rather be: Why would you not do this?

Granted, I had no idea such a site existed before this thread, but it seems doomed to fail from a mathematical standpoint. Considering they only reimburse gpp entry fees, their success rate has to be incredibly high to offset the losses, even when taking in a monthly membership fee and a 50% cut of any profitable line ups.

Sorry to hear of the issues, but seems like a likely outcome given the business plan and structure imo.

Oh, trust me, I did the math too and knew it was doomed! lol I couldn’t imagine a way that it would work over the long run unless they got lucky and hit a big one. I was on the customer end though and didn’t care on their business logic…as long as they paid.

I had a 50% discount, so tried it for a month for $250. Didn’t feel it was too much of a risk for the potential reward. Like I said, the first 2 weeks, they paid and everything was fine, but I think they hit a money crunch and folded.

I’m just hoping Boyan Josic makes it right and pays his debts. He owns other internet companies and it would be a shame for Draftlytics to tarnish his name further.

I’m not going to lie, I just googled Draftlytics and went to their site. This part cracked me up

Our lineups are released 1-2 hours before cutoff times

I wonder why they are losing money in NBA

annnd there is why you are now waiting on them to pay out…..if something seems to good to be true…it probably is

I’m sure you realize this now, but this system is the exact opposite of what you are saying. It was a way for them to play for big money without any risk. Assuming they never reimburse you they were the ones freerolling high dollar GPPs every night.

Status update: I just got another email from Nicole @ Mogul Media. She said that the check is being sent today. I’ll let you guys know if/when the check actually arrives. If you need their email addresses to ask about your refund, PM me and I’ll send them to you.

  • rickey55

Nicole stopped responding to my emails last week. Glad she got back to you, maybe they are still working on all the refunds. She told me last week it would be Thursday or Friday, and I haven’t heard anything since. I only got to play one night before they went under.

And if they were willing to eat the losses to begin with yet reap the rewards why wouldn’t they just enter in contests themselves with their lineups? How did people actually fall for this scam?

Because people are too trusting/stupid. Always been this way and unfortunately always will be.

I was looking Into them about a month ago. Found a reddit thread with one of the owners answering questions. He didn’t go Into detail but he said the way the business was set up was very favorable to how their winnings were taxed.

I think they thought they could put out enough winning lineups to realize a nice gain between membership fees and tax savings.

I wanted to update this thread, I was paid everything I was owed by Draftlytics specifically by Boyan Josic. While communication was lacking, and payments were delayed multiple times He did take care of me in the end. Hope everyone else is able to resolve any outstanding issues.

  • hornethurricane25

Just stumbled on to this thread when I was trying to see if I could find anything else about the payments. Has anybody else STILL not been paid? I kept getting told that the payment would come the next day, and it never did. I was contacted and told I was one of about 10 still waiting to be paid, but I was assured it would come before the end of the week. It still hadn’t come by Friday, so I emailed again. I was told it was going to get sent and that he would get back to me about it that afternoon. I haven’t heard from him since, and I’ve sent an email every day this week. This is getting completely ridiculous. I know I was an idiot for buying into draftlytics in the first place, but I was hoping I could recover from it after being promised to be paid back after it shut down.

  • smutpeddlers

I mean if you Google the guys name and read the reddit threads about him, it talks about people saying he didn’t pay for this business they did with him and other posts about business with the owner of the site.. The posts then say oh he finally contacted me and paid, but wanted me to take down post or whatever. It’s like a giant Ponzi scheme….. SMH……. Well I don’t know I’m just giving my view from what I’ve read.

  • madchuck

definitley a ponzi scheme. The business model doesnt even make sense. If their lineups were so great, why split the profit with anyone. Why not just play them?

  • hornethurricane25

The lineups definitely were not great, but like others have said, the appeal was the fact that they were supposed to cover our losses. I’m fully aware of my mistake in falling for it, and that wasn’t the point of my post. I was just trying to find out if anyone else that wrote here about not being paid is also still dealing with this, or if anybody that managed to get paid did something to finally make that happen.

its the appeal of every ponzi scheme……if you cant understand the logic behind the other side of a (pretty much any) transaction then you are probably getting hosed.

  • hornethurricane25

Again, I think it’s been well established that it was a scam, and I’ve written in both of my posts that I’m fully aware of my stupidity in buying it. Repeating that is not the point, nor is it helpful. We can all agree that it was a ponzi scheme, but I’m seeing that some people were actually paid. I’m wondering if I’m the only one here still fighting to get paid and why some people were paid and not all of us.

given they couldnt possible actually have enough cash to pay everyone i doubt you are the only one. in all likelihood it was a case of the squeaky wheel gets the grease. ie he paid the people that bitched the loudest.i would keep spamming any kind of email address/contact info you have on him
