Been waiting on a Paypal withdrawal since 4-5-15 and have sent 2 support tickets that have not been answered and nobody is picking up the phone at Draftster’s offices or returning calls. I would be very wary of depositing any money on Draftster at this point. Are any other grinders having any issues at all with Draftster?

Hey Ghost, I just forwarded this thread to the guys that run DraftSter and asked them to come on and respond.

  • North

Play there sparingly and haven’t attempted a withdrawal yet.

FWIW, they seem to still be active on their Twitter account…last tweet about an hour ago.

  • deactivated53513

TY Cal I appreciate it man.

  • deactivated53513

Draftster has reached out and resolved the issue, they had a system change on the site and should be back up and running very shortly on all paypal payments.

They took a week to process a withdrawal for me last month. And even then it took multiple emails to them. Was like pulling teeth. I also saw on twitter where people were complaining of the same issue. It’s sad because I like their site.

  • Domigator

Took 5 days for mine Last month. But only 1 email and 1 phone call. They actually called me back and apoligized and got me my money that day. I hope you get yours. I still have around $300 on there.

I deposited and withdrew money without an issue during football and basketball season. Processed within a day or 2. Have never had an issue with the site.

Perfect way for them to put themselves out of business !!

I’m still waiting on a few withdrawals from them. There were on things during the football season but they are getting worse and worse. I’m personally bitter against them because of their lame rules though. I tied for first (with the exact same team) in one of their big tournaments and made ten bucks because they don’t chop prizes and the other guy (and his train of five teams) entered the contest before me.

He made about $3K and I made ten bucks, that should tell you about how that site is ran right there

Woah. Because he joined FIRST he won the tie breaker? That is the worst rule I ever heard.

I agree with that. How the hell do you know he actually joined first? You just blew my mind if this is an actual rule. If this is true any and all connections to the site should be dropped immediately. Being connected to something like this is bad business. I mean unless they are posting times and its being audited independently how can you trust this site. Throw in withdrawal issues and you have to at some point say we need to cut ties no matter how good of friends we are or have been with the owners/ members there.

Yeah it just seems the game offerings are down period and the withdrawals are a tad slow, along with no referral bonuses at all of any kind or any juice on them either the incentive to play at Draftster is like pretty close to zero at this point and I have been playing since they went live there, along with bringing some other players there who all initially enjoyed it but have since all left because there is no consistency on the site’s game offerings.

And not sure why but they are not even offering any freerolls anymore and it is the same 4 to 8 guys every night in the same x2 ×3 ×5 games which are pretty pedestrian 50/50’s double ups and triple ups but with crazy multi-entry limits like a 66 man double up where you can buy 10 entries. Sorry but that is just not what I am looking for in a DFS site.

    Best of Luck Draftster.

oh it’s true, go to their site and look at tie breakers. I was steaming because the payouts are always top three the rest just get double. Like 1st $2000 2nd $750 3rd $300 then 4-66th $20. I got fifth for ten bucks and this other guy got 1-4th for over three thousand with the same exact team.

I did how ever get my money from them over the weekend (because I cashed out and I’m done there) and I notice they charged me a little less than 5% for processing. I pulled out like 400 bucks and they took $16. So that was the nail in the coffin for me

With so many “better” options out there why do you guys even deposit on these start up sites?

Nothing is protecting your money, do you think these type of sites (not saying draftster) would think twice about using your funds to run the next customer acquisition marketing campaign? What are the chances you will request a FULL cash out during the time your money is tied up marketing to “new” fish?

Stick to the known sites guys, these type of stories can only be prevented by the players!

  • jimmyrad

A lot of these guys were playing on FD and DK when they were Draftster’s size. You make a good point, but just look at the decent up and coming sites that weren’t even around a year ago. They’d be gone already if everyone took your approach.

^^ Agree 100% with this. I understand wanting to play against a smaller pool of competition, but the risk is always there with these unknown sites.
*More importantly- Why does RG endorse a site with shady business practices? I’m curious to know

To the best of my knowledge they aren’t shady, although my concern is growing as this thread gets bounced.

DraftSter is an FSTA member. I have met them at the conferences. Michael Santore and David Joseph are the guys that run the company. Santore responded to this thread when I sent it to him two weeks ago. I understand those cashouts were processed.

WhiskeyTavon’s problems with a larger cashout is concerning. I’ve reached back out to Santore. As for our endorsement, we auto-link to them in the forums and we have a review up on our Reviews page. I’m going to remove the autolinking in forums and the link to the review until this is sorted out.

If you are referring to the TieBreaker as a shady practice I disagree – it’s a really bad rule, but it is clearly spelled out on their site. I’ll ask Santore if they will consider changing that rule.

Explain what the FSTA really does? Do they have the ability to shut down a site which is not making good on payments? Do they have the right to effect change on standard practices in our industry?

I feel they are using their image as the “voice” behind the DFS industry, but are not doing proper due dalliance on the sites that pay them money to in turn use their logo to ensure trust with users.

as the saying goes… Never trust a guy with two first names.

Thanks for clarifying, Cal. But based on this thread alone, I’ll stick to FD & DK
