Been waiting on a Paypal withdrawal since 4-5-15 and have sent 2 support tickets that have not been answered and nobody is picking up the phone at Draftster’s offices or returning calls. I would be very wary of depositing any money on Draftster at this point. Are any other grinders having any issues at all with Draftster?

  • FrancisBooth

I had a problem with a super slow cashout in March and after about three support emails and a PM to Cal asking to step in it was taken care of. I withdrew another $50 last Tuesday and I had to support request to get it yesterday. Immediately after that they sent me the money. It is kind of a pain in the ass to have to deal with it this way, but I have gotten all of my withdrawals from them in the six months I have been playing there. I will say this, I don’t understand why all sites can’t just get you your money immediately after you request it or at the least the same day.

  • MRCOOKONUTS

DRAFTSTER PONZI SCHEME type situation possibly going on there.
Anytime there are withdrawl issues its a red flag, and no need to chance it no matter what excuse management tell you.

I have sent them numerous emails and they are basically giving me the run around. I am still confident they will pay me but 10 days and counting is a little longer than I would like. They also dont return emails very quickly and have just flat out lied about when I would get my money in a couple emails over the past few days.

This is crazy, where are these guys based? When all of these sites are selling the same thing, service like this should dry up their RG player base. I am happy with playing on the Big2 and the Small3 (Victiv, DraftDay, FantasyFeud).

I think California but I could be way off base there.

Could they pick a worse state to do business in? I have never understood why anyone in their right mind would run a business in that crazy state! Even more so when you are holding players money hostage, I really hope these guys get their shit together and pay the money.

Good morning Grinders — quick intro, Justin Walker, new invested Partner & CMO at Draftster. Your deposits are safe, Draftster isn’t going anywhere! In fact, we’re currently in discussions with several of the largest players in the DFS space and Media vertices to bring additional global contests to the lobby.

Our $10K at Chambers Bay golf contest launches prior to The U.S. Open.

We have restructured both the company and certain contests in order to compete for market share. Every WD has been paid, and always will be. We are very proud of the product and couldn’t be more appreciative of your patience for any particular WD delays. The issue is repaired.

Feel free to reply here, or reach us directly at Draftster.

    Draft well!

Nice to see you guys are keeping an eye on this, you come in this thread and claim everything is fine, then not come back to follow up should scare players with funds on your site.

  • JSteele

I’ve only withdrawn once and it was no problem. The small customer base makes its a lot easier to cash.

Kind of interested to know if the people who posted about WD issues in this thread actually got their withdrawls?

Id also like to know what exactly the issue it was that caused all of this and how they fixed it.

I have no horse in this race, but the responses from their rep don’t really give me any confidence to start over there. A few people have had actual gripes and I would much rather see their rep contact these people than give out a canned response about their money being safe and they’re not going anywhere. We have actual people complaining about issues and no direct response other than the “issue is repaired” (whatever that means).
In contrast, posts regarding DK, FD, FA (just to name a few) that I have read have had actually constructive responses to issues to problems players have had. I’ve had small issues with games and been immediately contacted and fixed. Getting money back is no small issue. What happens when something small comes down?
I don’t think they’re being shady, I just don’t think all of their ducks are in a row, and that would concern me right now.
I also agree that their tiebreaker isn’t a “con”, but it is a terrible rule. If they have it clearly listed and you participate in a contest, then you have to expect it could happen.

Yea rules are rules, nothing you can do about it right this second, but to me splitting the $ in a tie is common sense.

Yeah, that makes way more sense. The way it is now, when people play in different time zones, it seems like one person may have an unfair advantage just due to location alone. I know the contests go up at the same time, but for one person that may be midnight, while another it may be 9pm. Big difference IMO.
I cannot even fathom the feeling of losing a large sum of money because someone entered a contest before me.

They payed me 5k a couple days ago. It took around 10 days and about 40 emails. Their tiebreaker rule is the definition of stupidity.

  • maxeernst

Is the point of the rule at present to encourage users to fill up contests quickly?

Can you give us the “range” of how much you cashed out? Something tells me it wasn’t a number which was anything close to Whisky’s 5K.

Made a small withdrawal last Thursday. Three business days to PayPal. No problems.

I suspect “small” cashouts wouldn’t be a problem, its the large ones that should have us worried. Also the fact this new investor who clearly let us know there was a funding issue, has not been back.

  • JustinWalker

    Draftster Rep

Hello Grinders — Justin Walker here, Partner & CMO in Draftster. Posted last Friday, don’t see it, perhaps because it’s my own post? I know it was up because I’ve received feedback.

In any case, some responses to the thread above; your skepticism is 100% understandable, your criticism of certain contest scoring is quite welcome to a new entity (and being adjusted), but any reference to shady individuals running the company is 100% not the case. Draftster was founded and run by leaders and experts in related fields who know full well that customer/company integrity runs our respective businesses, period.

There are two giants in this field, another on the way (Yahoo, at least), and a host of medium sized players who are looking to grow. Draftster was created by the best programmers in the business, our software (back end and front end) is superior. Our team is as sharp and organized as it gets. We are swinging the bat hard day and night.

When I came aboard, priority #1 was to reduce Overlay in our contests. Overlay is a catch-22 for new players in this vertical, as DFS sites fund guaranteed contests that don’t fill. I will tell you that one of the giants avoids Overlay like the plague, the other rolls with it in cavalier fashion. I prescribe to the former as the long-haul model for a responsible, bubble-averse business practice.

So, to you the players, keep it coming. Your feedback is invaluable, your deposits are safe at Draftster. We have instituted direct correspondence with our most frequent customers who’s notes, both good and bad, are helping to shape the company moving forward. This forum is an extension of that policy.

    Thanks grinders — draft fiercely!

I meant to post the other day I made another withdrawal this week and received it with no problem. I intend to do the same in another day or two.

Glad to see you are getting to the root of the problem at Draftster: Overlay.

The whole “people not getting paid”, “no response from cs” and “tie goes to the early bird” problems should absolutely, positively, take a back seat to Draftster losing eight bucks a day to overlay.
