The EURO Tour debut event on Draft Kings !!!!

EURO Tour Thread – BMW PGA at Wentworth – Surrey, England

    Tournament History
Originally known as the British PGA Championship and first staged in 1955, the BMW PGA Championship has been the European Tour’s flagship event since its inception in 1972.

Wentworth (West Course), Surrey, England. Designed by Harry Colt and opened in 1926, the West Course, has undergone a series of alterations in recent years, under the supervision of Ernie Els
    Par 72 – 7,302 yards
    Stroke Index in 2014 – 72.6

    Last Five Winners
    2015 – Byeong-Hun An -21
    2014 – Rory McIlroy -14
    2013 – Matteo Manassero -10 (Playoff)
    2012 – Luke Donald -15
    2011 – Luke Donald -6 (Playoff) (Par 71)

All the greens were remodelled in 2009/10 and the par 5 finishing hole was radically changed. At the mercy to modern equipment, the old 18th was an almost given birdie and a great eagle chance but now, with a large stream snaking its way in front of the green, it’s a stunning risk/reward finishing hole.

Wentworth is a tight, fairly flat, tree-lined heathland course with tricky-to-read greens that usually run at around 10 on the stimpmeter. It isn’t a popular venue with a number of pros and as a result, the field isn’t anywhere near as strong as it perhaps should be with many of the European stars absent again.

Kjeldsen’s +4 today cost me a decent roster.

You mean having 6 golfers in the top 10 is better than having 5 in the top 20? You don’t say.

Since everyone was so fascinated with Sahiil’s lineups last week, I thought I’d post my Euro matchup with him – we both have Warren so it’s a 5 vs 5 H2H:

Me – Bourdy, Donald, Dredge, Fleetwood, F Molinari, Warren
Him – An, Coetzee, Hend, Stone, Warren, Willett

    Update after 36 holes

I’m getting beat 260 to 190.5 right now but it should get interesting as I did get 4/6 guys thru versus his 3/6 and he has 2 guys tied for 1st and since only 1 can win, that is a 10 point drop at least.

Me – Bourdy, Donald, Fleetwood, F Molinari plus MC’s from Dredge/Warren

Sud – Willett, Hend, An plus MC’s from Stone/Coetzee/Warren

I’m literally going to come in last in this thing. The sad part is I actually tried.

  • JimKronlund

The greens here look very patchy and almost unhealthy. Is this correct and is it an England thing or just this course thing?

  • JimKronlund

I cant get into the leaderboard. Has the site crashed?

    edit: It is back up

  • Brian6035

I was watching this with the wife she was saying that Scott Hend looks flaming. So I googled it. The only thing I could find is some survey

“67% of all voters think that Scott Hend is gay (homosexual), 0% voted for straight (heterosexual), and 33% like to think that Scott Hend is actually bisexual.” lol

  • BIF

    Wow did Willet chop today

Great round by Hatton to get into 2nd – need him to win and another good round by Chris Wood for my GPP entries

Fleetwood’s 81 today didn’t help me in Cash or GPP’s

Edit – just saw that James Morrison got me an Ace today on my best team which has gone up 4,000 spots that has Wood and Hatton

Nice did Morrison and Karlberg both get hole in one?
    Edit just saw they did.

  • JimKronlund

No Wood on my best 6/6 teams but have him on 9 5/6 teams. I don’t think my 6/6 or 5/6 will get below 100th rank.

EDIT: I do have a Wood on a 6/6 see bottom

This is hurting my soul. I got a 6/6 through and had high hopes as its a smaller cut and bigger field, but…. I’m currently only gonna cash in 50/50 with a 6/6. This is brutal

Lots of movement up/down leaderboard for guys – I have 2 with 5/6 that are cashing easy and we’re not even close on Friday. Of course Wood winning and Morrisson with an Ace helped that.

  • JimKronlund

I thought I would break even at best. In the birdie I did but I came out ahead from other plays.
When it transferred it made what I was making in the PGA Birdie look smaller.
I was not sure exactly where I was at until transfer. I am doing much better in PGA.

Out of 3 lineups 2 of them were 5/6 and one was sitting in highcash in every contest sat night. Then my 5 golfers combined to shoot 15 over par on Sunday and fall out of everything except for a few triple ups. To have a complete meltdown of so many guys is astounding
