It turns out that if you are using a free bet, you can increase the EV (expected value) of your bet by making higher odds plays. If you’ve been using your drakings NBA live bets on odds near 2.0 (+100), you’re leaving a lot of potential value on the table. For instance, a neutral EV $100 free bet at 2.0:1 (+100) at 50% chance yields, $50 of ev. But a neutral EV $100 free bet at 5.0:1 (+400) yields $400 at 20%, $80 of ev. You just made $30 more from your free bet on average by increasing the odds you played it at. Pretty neat. Ideally you’re looking for +EV very long odds bets, so you should look for futures that have shortened in price on sharp books to target with your free bets.
