    What do I do to get my lineups into CSV form. Exporting my CSV works fine on Fantasy National.

    Thanks

    In raw form, a csv file is simply a text file (txt) with delimiters to create columns and quite often double quotes to signify headers/line feeds.

    Since I am not familiar with Fantasy National, I am not certain what their download format looks like but if in fact your txt file is properly formatted as a csv file all you need to do is manually change the file extension either by simply renaming your file without opening, mydata.txt —> mydata.csv, for example; or opening the file in a text editor and saving mydata.txt as mydata.csv. (depending on your text editor you may want to add quotes when saving, i.e. “mydata.csv” as this will ensure your file is actually saved as a csv file… i.e., not mydata.csv.txt … note, once saved the quotes will not be included in the filename.

    Regardless, I’m assuming your issue is pretty straightforward and either method above will only take a second or two.

    Note, if your txt file is not properly formatted the above two fixes will not work. If this is the case, reply here and I can walk you through a few other methods using either your spreadsheet program and/or regular expressions.

    Good luck.

    EDIT: After I posted, I saw you had the same problem exporting/downloading files from LineupHQ. This leads me to believe that somehow your computer won’t allow you to save files as csv files since you have the same issue exporting csv files from more than one site. This also leads me to believe your OS is Windows because at one point this was actually a quite common problem with Windows. Needless to say, your problem seems to be with your computer and not these sites. With that said, the methods/fixes I describe above should still work even though I don’t believe Fantasy National or RG will be able to help with a solution on their end.

    Some web browsers like IE & Edge like to restrict how some files are download by default and give you no option to change the file type.
    If you are using one of those browsers:

    Open Internet Explorer.
    Click Tools -> Internet Options.
    Click the Security tab, then the Custom Level button.
    Scroll down to the Downloads section. Under the heading “Automatic prompting for file downloads”, choose Enable.
    Click OK, then Yes at the pop-up window. Then you will be able to select CSV as the download type :)
