Our largest CFB tournaments (which start at 6pm) tonight look likely to overlay. The $100K Monster in particular is currently at 104/370. CFB contests tend to fill a lot earlier than daily sports, so it would be pretty surprising if the Monster and some of the others don’t end up with some nice overlay.

  • tomac

I would love to see some data on the game limits per sport compared with the average number of games filled in that particular sport. Variety of opponent has been tough to find in your CFB lobby. I’m not saying that is a reason for the overlay, but it has made me look elsewhere with my CFB dollars.

I think they would fill if people were not scared of the massive entries by a few players. I know that sounds counterproductive but hundreds of people would put 3-5 in each but stay at 0 because some guys have 50-200 each. The single entry filled so fast i missed them.

    bold statement. idk about that

I love college football, because you can contend with the massive entries, even with only 2-4 lineups.

Is this how you feel or an actual poll you took?

I know that sounds like a rude comment, but seriously, you are just speculating. I could care less how many people have 100’s of lineups, all I care about is if I can nail that one lineup that beats all of theirs.

  • trammal11

Waiver, I think you are calling that a tad early. Making an uneducated guess at this time with 3.5 hours to go I would say fd gets 98K back with the 100K purse. I hope I have time at 5:55 to take a look to put a couple uneducated entries in if it’s under 90K.

I never understood why fanduel doesn’t have more single entry tournaments when they seem to fill very quickly. I like playing those too, all sports. They always seem to fill early, why not risk a tiny bit and have some big single tourny’s. Just like they have one large multi-entry every day why not try some larger single entry tourney’s. Also for baseball the largest $ single tourney is $50. Why not add a $100? Or a $200?

  • Elz24

I don’t think the 300 will fill. With just 3 hours to fill and over 200 open spots that’s a ton of money fanduel could be on the hook for. my guess is about 100 fill

  • topscout

i was basing it on how fast the single entries were gone but its more of a wish than a fact i guess. There was a site i used to play on some draftstreet i think that had a 3 entry max and theirs filled for sports

Overlay is looking nearly certain on the Monster now. It’s at 148/370 with just over two hours remaining.

Hail Mary ($25 by-in) also looks likely to overlay as it’s at 2472/4597

Five Star ($1,065 buy-in) may overlay as well at 11/30, although that’s less predictable.

I think the interesting part is the smaller (and way less multi entry) Horse collar is going to fill @ 100. I like my shot against guys when playing 1 to 1 or even 3 to 1 but when I first looked, 25% of entries were 5 guys in the Monster this morning. Not worth throwing 300 at unless it is huge overlay, and since it appears to be unlimited entry (it doesn’t tell me so please correct me on the total amount), my fear is these same folks will just pound more entries when we get to an hour or less left, so then the overlay will be gone as well as decent odds at anything close to the top. I get the fact that huge payouts are only available in GPP due to multi entry, but it ceases being a skill game when folks don’t have to make a ton of choices and can fish for a ton of combos. It’s why I usually stick to 3 and 5 mans to begin with. But everyone plays to what they think are their strengths and everyone has their arguments, just excited to light it UP

    100% false

100% true, it’s basic math and probability. Not that you’d ever understand it.

LOL, as opposed to his response, come on now. As I stated, everyone is free to play the game as they like, I don’t fault CSURam for having 14 entries in the monster right now, but you can’t just make up stuff regarding basic probability and call people out as false. Sorry, did your friend need protecting? Ah well, I get it, some here are very protective of this theory that there is some vast fantasy knowledge in bombarding everything with max entries, and it is a very good way to make money, but it is not skilled fantasy PICKING.

Made 2 lineups, may submit them if the overlay stays big.

nothing like resorting to personal attacks rather than logic or facts but w/e

if you assume it is a skill game to begin with, it doesnt lose the skill element if you allow multi entry. obviously someone with 10lu has a better chance than someone with 1 lu (if they are equal skill) but multi entry definitely does not make it no longer a skill game

You seem very upset. Quarter Arcade > Lineup Builder, if you’re gonna give the excuse of ‘no time’.

Overlay not looking that big now. I would guess over 325 is the final number of entrants. There are still big players waiting to get in multi entries late. Won’t be much overlay in my opinion.

  • Elz24

monster has gottaen like 60 entries since this post

  • leafs93

yeah there should be a little bit of overlay still, still 120 spots.

  • waiverwire

Leafs – Those are only locked on the ‘Featured’ tab. On the ‘Tournaments’ tab, you can filter by slate. I agree that visually, that’s a bit confusing though – I’ll put in a suggestion that we try to make it clearer.

Everyone is pissy on this thread. Even moderators.

He said “I think”. Which makes it an opinion or speculation.

filling very slowly, certainly looks like it will stay under 300 entrants.
