Can’t believe no one else has posted this yet, or I just missed it…this is big news…

Wow, interesting. Thx for the link

Same company that owns DRAFT. I love DRAFT, but you’d have to think that eventually it won’t make sense for the company to own both platforms and they will somehow merge them. Who knows, though.

They don’t care one bit about the Fantasy platform. They care about the user platform, brand and players. If Fanduel sells to Paddy Power they will most likely keep very little of the DFS/fantasy offerings.

I don’t see how that’s right. They aren’t going to give up on a company that has a stranglehold on a sizable portion of multi-billion dollar market. It’s for all intents and purposes a two company market.

Paddy Power or Betfair is huge in NJ…they want to get a jump on the sport betting market here in the US. I am assuming they want the customer base..rather than building something completely from scratch.

Here is more info if your interested. I love TVG and Betfair. I have had a TVG account for years.

I would definitely do business with Fan Duel if this goes thru.

I also just found out and wanted to know if it is true… Thank you for the links :)

    1. Cash-outs for investors, founders & early employees.

    2. Resources of a large publicly traded company.

    3. A shift to leveraging FanDuel’s current user-base & brand to kick-start Paddy Power’s sports betting entrance into the US.

    4. Setting a price for competitors to try and snap up DraftKings.

  • MUiceman

I mean theoretically, they could abandon DFS altogether and turn it into completely a betting site..that’s my fear.

  • XxHeisenbergxX

I could give or take DFS to be honest..although I do enjoy playing it. But I love Betfair and if they bought out FanDuel the betting menu would be far superior than anything DK would offer in my opinion. I am assuming they would cover all US sports as well as the UK etc.

Long time no talk, Yousif! Thanks for the analysis. How are things across the pond? Dfs industry dead I’m assuming?
