Does anyone have the link or the breakdown on how they are running this contest?

  • coldcut1984

“Survive and advance through three rounds of contests, across two sports: Sunday NFL (11/20), Tue NBA (11/22) & Thu NFL (11/24) Finish in the top 40,000 to advance to Round 2. The top 20,000 then advance to the final round. And the top 10,000 in the final round will win cash!”

This is all I could find. It’s listed at the top of the screen when you go to enter a lineup in the contest.

Fanduel – is there any way you can post or link the final payout structure for this?

      RG Tiered Ranking

Have past survivor tournaments had a better setup than this? I may be missing something but this seems like an absolutely terrible structure to me….
    Round 1: top 68% survives
    Round 2: top 50% survives
Round 3: top 50% gets paid, but unless you are in the top 20% you only make $4.

So essentially by finishing in roughly the top half of 3 double ups you will likely win a whopping $4 (off a $2 entry)… no thanks.

  • boomer020

This payout structure doesn’t make sense. In the other survivors you always get paid in the last leg and they have a payout every leg.

  • dogplayer

Looks like only 35,000 of the 58,000 max entries got in. Anyone know if the payout structures and cutdown process remain the same?

  • ironmiket

Well everyone advances today. Massive overlay

  • LuckyLuc3434

Overlay was huge — entered 45 lineups last second just to take advantage of it.

  • ironmiket

It says the final round is thursday. Anyone know if that’s the Thursday Monday slate or just thanksgiving games?

  • ohhale

Nice LuckyLuc!!! i put in 5 initially when it 1st posted and got busy at work and didn’t get to do my overlay check.. would have loaded that damn thing down myself.. good for u!!

Fanduel is ruining the concept of a crossover. Playing NBA on a short Tuesday slate and then (most likely) playing the final round on a 3 game Thaksgiving NFL slate. Will be a ton of the same lineups tied at various points in the standings both Tuesday and Thursday. No wonder the tourney didn’t fill as its construction is crap.

  • CUTiger81

I get the complaints about the structure, especially considering it’s a Thanksgiving slate to finish but it’s still the chance to play for really good money for a small entry and a relatively small field relative to what the Snap usually is.

  • tvsfrink

I will never complain about a $2 survivor and/or crossover, they are too much fun for me to worry about payout structure, schedule, format, etc.. I don’t play these for ROI, I play these for fun. I just wish I had known there was so much overlay.

  • LuckyLuc3434

I don’t really have a problem with the structure personally. I can see the arguments behind not liking the short slates, but on the other hand I really like the idea of the survivor, and I like not having my money locked up for over a week (or 5 like the previous NFL survivor).

I’ve also never played NBA, so kinda exciting to try out a new sport for me too. Either way, a -30% rake is amazing regardless of how good or bad the structure is to me.

  • danliebl

As a VERY casual NBA player, I would rather have a 4 game slate, allows me to look over only 4 games rather than say 8. Lot less time consuming. I ended up with 10 entries in the survivor when I saw the overlay, so, lets see how much time I have to make NBa lineups for tomorrow. at that point, playing a 50/50 with a 10K first prize, on what will most likely be just thanksgiving games, will be a blast.

    Hope they keep running these!

Has anyone been entered into tonight’s slate yet? I haven’t even received an email saying I advanced.

Lineups just got entered in the past ten minutes, but I was wondering about the same thing myself all morning.

  • BrandonSaunders

17% of the field didn’t even edit the dummy lineup. Easy money.

Yep looks like about 6,000 dead lineups.

  • Jcb890

It would be nice if I wasn’t absolutely awful at NBA… only 1 of my 3 teams made it to tomorrow’s final round. All 3 of my teams would have made it, but I decided to diversify my LU’s from the “main” one I liked… which of course wound up being the highest scoring. Guess I should have only used 1 LU for my 3 entries… oh well.

    How did everyone else do?

  • Ibleedblue1

Does anyone know when the entries will be available for the final round? The contest starts tomorrow and I will be traveling all day and want to make sure all my LU’s are done before I jump in the car and start my drive.

  • tvsfrink

Make a lineup in another contest on the same slate (even a free contest) so you can just export it to this one once it opens.

  • Ibleedblue1

I have 20 entries…… it says the final round so I dont want a train for that contest

  • LuckyLuc3434

Got 40 out of my 45 through… Blind luck really. I know very little about the NBA so I used the RG lineup builder to generate 45 optimized lineups but restrained it to max 75% exposure to any single player to diversify the lineups slightly.

Excited for the contest to open so I can start building my Thanksgiving lineups.. always takes longer than I feel like it should to open up the next round’s contest in survivor tourneys. Could use all the time I can get really — learned yesterday that manually entering 45 lineups takes a decent chunk of time!
