So I believe the normal rake on FanDuel is 13.6% or something close to that… Now last night I played a triple up. it was a 2$ 5600 people. Which Equals=$11200 so that makes the rake $2200. With a prizepool of 9000 ($2200/$9000).. Now that equals 24.4% rake. I dont know if that was a mistake or what but I felt like it was a bit insane. fanduel.com/contest/10065801/scoring/lineup/125831736/ is the contest now it did not fill, only 4863 entered because there was overlay 737 people overlay. But if the tourney filled it would have been a 5600 people triple up with 1500 placing.. Which almost makes it a quadruple up for only 3x..And Yes it doesnt show how many spots can enter but I remember watching the overlay for 30 mins and max entries was 5600. Can anyone confirm this? 13.6% rake (Varies on the GPP or double up) = 5062 people not 5600.. The current triple up right now is 5$ 681 entries 3k prizepool which the rake= 13.5% Obv the rake is within decimals depending on double ups or triple ups.. The massive $5 Double up on FD is 11363 entries for a 50k prizepool= 13.6% rake.. So the rake is pretty close but 24% is not. So I was wondering if anyone else noticed anything yesterday on “Multiplier Monday”

*******SO ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL THE MATH IS WRONG BUT ITS 19% Like the guy below said which is still way high. FEEL FREE TO BLAST ME!!!! But I stand behind the 5600 entries in a triple up with 1500 placing.

Well can’t confirm anything, but I do believe you’re calculating rake incorrectly. It would be 2200/11200, not 2200/9000, for a collected rake of slightly over 19%.

Based on how fd runs triple ups, the correct contest sizing for 1500 paid places would be 5020, as roughly 29.9% of entries are paid at the $2 buy in level.

Strange in any case if the contest was sized at 5600 entrants.

Yea its late my math is wrong i was doing rake/ by the pool not RAKE/RAKE+POOL anyways you are correct its 19% which is still VERY HIGH.

At least someone is actually looking at rake..i have seen contest posted by accident before with huge rake and they almost fill. Just like the word value guys throw the word rake around. Most think for some reason its 10% when you ask. HA gas used to be 34 cent too. Sites have upwards of 35 employees you think they do it for free? AS one known gambler said “you think winners built all those hotels in vegas?

  • Bigo1

The rake question is very simple. Do not play any games where the rake is above 10% (the actual rake, i.e. looking at entries and not max nb of players).

  • kellykip

How about a FanDuel extension that would give the rake when you scan over the tourney name in the lobby?

Fantasyup.com; no rake til April 1st. I’ve moved all my Fanduel activity to Fantasyup until then, it makes a big difference

I’d love to see an extension that shows the rake for games on FD and DK, I don’t know anything about programming, but seems easy enough. Would make many people think twice about entering games with 15%+ rake when there are plenty available at 10%

    +1

I played there early in the year and just recently started playing again. Action has definitely increased and again, people really don’t understand how amazing rake-free is. I still can’t believe that they pay you to play. Just unreal.

I’ll look into adding something like this to the current RotoGrinders FD extension.

I would love to be able to tell the rake with a hover over….would this be possible on a mobile device?
