Question for those wanting this feature. Do you want all players released at contest lock, at the start of each day’s first game, or even when their game starts. The Sunday NFL cash games will be filled with duplicate lineups if all lineups are released at lock because of people copying pros’ lineups. We would see even more threads about duplicate lineups. Fanduel might go the other way and only release ownership at the time a game starts to prevent duplicates.

Draftkings already has this feature so I don’t see the problem.

You can actually kind of tell who the pros are on already in a Thursday-Monday slate because even though other people’s lineups are hidden, it shows ownership percentages of the players in your lineup. There are people who organize the sharing of all of this information which can give you a good idea who the most popular picks are.

Are you hearing that FD is adding this feature? Or just asking us if they do, which option we would prefer.

If they do, I think the best option is to only show players in lineups only after their game has started, and not at lock. I guess paranoid users could suggest that some players are hacking the system to effectively create a late swap feature, but this is better than revealing everyone’s full lineup on Thursday night.

    HAHAHA “pros”

FanDuel used to show every lineup at lock on Thursday NFL Slates. It changed mid-season and I just assumed it was a result of cats mimmicking pro’s lineups.

Not sure why they would go back.

Regardless, I think not revealing players until game day is the way to go and I probably couldn’t fathom a single argument otherwise.

Do you mean at kick off?

Have we ever been told why they won’t add it.

I have actually been contacted by Fanduel about this feature so it is on their radar and something they would like to add. They are just trying to determine the best way to go about doing it.

I think their biggest sticking point is that they do not want pro players or higher volume players using the CSV as a scraping tool to find bad/weaker/newer players. But from my discussions with them, I think they have some good ideas of a way around this and to also add the feature per many people’s request.
